Jerryzago Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 That is a major brakethrough and a big win for the mxm mainboards. Sadly this won't work for the AW18 or M18x R1/2 because they have LVDS displays, right? Maybe for the M17x R4 and 17 R1 with the 3D screens? Alienware M18x R2 / i7 3720qm -> i7 3940XM / Dual 7970m -> 980m SLI -> HP Quadro RTX 3000 Alienware 17 R1 / 4710MQ -> 4930mx / 880M GTX -> PNY Quadro RTX 3000 HP 8570w / i7 3820qm / Quadro K2000M HP DV6500 / i7 T7200 -> i7 T9500 / 2GB RAM -> 4GB RAM / Atlas OS

The 60 hz ones are either lvds or edp ALL AW17 rangers have both LVDS & EDP connectors on the motherboards. For edp options, you have either the 30pin (60hz) or the 40pin (120hz+ or 3D). For LVDS, it's 40pin 60hz (NOT compatible with edp screen).

Both plugged in so the panel would work with sg or peg . I was confused . 8 sold the ranger last year now I have an 18 plus my clevo p870tm1 1
