Yup. Everyone hoped that Apple could make it better than Intel. Do you live in a glasshouse bro @Mr. Fox? Some do.

The security analysts confirmed the exploit, dubbed GoFetch, works on M1 CPUs and speculate that it likely also impacts M2 and M3 chips and their Pro and Max variants. Intel's 13th-generation Raptor Lake processors also exhibit the flaw that enables GoFetch but are probably unaffected.

Unpatchable Apple Silicon vulnerability could leak encryption keys

In brief: Hardware-based security flaws have become more frequent over the last several years but have mostly affected Intel and AMD processors. Now, Apple joins those ranks with a recently discovered vulnerability that causes Mac M-series CPUs to expose encryption keys. Since it is hardware-based, there is little users can do besides keeping macOS updated.

Dell hack: Personal info of 49 million customers allegedly breached

Dell is warning potentially millions of customers that sensitive information including details of purchases and support calls the last decade are being trafficked on the Dark Web.

Dell warns of data breach, 49 million customers allegedly affected

Dell is warning customers of a data breach after a threat actor claimed to have stolen information for approximately 49 million customers.

Dell Technologies take your privacy and personal information seriously. If they did, then why the need for pushing out this message? LOOL

dell-data-breach-notification.jpg

Dell doesn’t believe that there is “significant risk”. Of course they say so. Even stupids can see the truth in between the lines of the liars statement.

And can you be sure DELL tell the whole truth? Nope. Much more info about their customers privacy can have been hacked.

Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Discovered in Crucial MX500 SSD Firmware

Buffer overflow vulnerabilities are significant because they can allow attackers to overwrite memory, execute arbitrary code, or crash the system. In the context of an SSD controller, this could lead to data corruption, loss, or unauthorized access. Given that SSDs are integral to data storage and retrieval, a vulnerability at this level poses serious risks

Critical security flaws found in Lenovo AIO PCs! What to do if affected

Be careful. You never know what unwanted payloads you get with new bios versions. And don't be the guinea pig.

Edit. See stupidity in action with bios update @Mr. Fox

Some users have reported that their B650 non-E motherboards, despite being ocially listed as supporting PCIe 4.0, were in fact capable of running at PCIe 5.0 speeds. This was confirmed by using the latest generation graphics cards that support the PCIe 5.0 interface:

It is now being reported that the latest 1203E BIOS update for these motherboards reverts the specication back to PCIe 4.0.

Gigabyte removes unocial PCIe 5.0 support from B650 motherboards in latest BIOS update

Heaven forbid that someone would get PCIe 5.0 without having to paying extra for it. Goes to show what we already know... "compatibility" is generally a fabrication and controlled based on price not hardware or software functionality. Micro$lop is the biggest offender of deliberately fabricating artificial conditions that make things "not compatible" with their older OS versions to try to entice people to move to a newer OS with more cancer, bloat and data theft spyware.

Hi Brother. That old one still works for me, but I think there is a newer script. I was able to use it on 24H2 but you have to first disable everything in Security Center. AV, Core Isolation, Tamper Protections, SmartScreen etc. Everything. Disable UAC and reboot. Then downlload and run the script. Defender recognizes it and will prevent you from running it. It needs to be run as Administrator or, even better, as Trusted Installer.

On most of my OS installs I run no security software of any kind. On my Work OS I run Malwarebytes Premium and Adguard. I can manuallly scan the OSes running naked with Malwarebytes. I have done this for years and never find malware. But, I do not visit sketchy web sites or download software from shady places.

The original Github repo is gone. There is a newer one. This application removes / disables Windows Defender, including the Windows Security App, Windows Virtualization-Based Security (VBS), Windows SmartScreen, Windows Security Services, Windows Web-Threat Service, Windows File Virtualization (UAC), Microsoft Defender App Guard, Microsoft Driver Block List, System Mitigations and the Windows Defender page in the Settings App on Windows 10 or later.

This script removes/disables following security components:
    - support for Windows Security Center including Windows Security Center Service (wscsvc), Windows Security Service (SgrmBroker, Sgrm Drivers) which are needed to run Windows Security App.
    - virtualization support.
        - Hypervisor startup (this fixes disablation of Virtualization Based Security, this will auto enable if you use Hyper-V and/or WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux), WSA (Windows Subsystem for Android)
        - LUA (disables File Virtualization and User Account Control, which will run all apps as administrator priviliges (also fixes old app errors))
        - Exploit Guard (something about Exploits)
        - Windows Smart Control
        - Tamper Protection (for Windows 11 21H2 or earlier)
    - SecHealthUI (Windows Security UWP App)
    - SmartScreen
    - Pluton Support and Pluton Services Support

      - "Services Mitigations" (search on admx.help for more informations, its policy)
      - Spectre and Meltdown Mitigation (for get +30% performance on old Intel CPUs)
    - Windows Security Section from Settings App.

This script forcily removes following antivirus components:
  - Windows Defender Definition Update List (this will disable updating definitions of Defender because its removed)
  - Windows Defender SpyNet Telemetry
  - Antivirus Service
  - Windows Defender Antivirus filter and windows defender rootkit scanner drivers
  - Antivirus Scanning Tasks
  - Shell Associations (Context Menu)
  - Hides Antivirus Protection section from Windows Security App.
