eDP 3D 120Hz: Dell Precision M6700 RTX

Hello.

 

Since I already have a M6800 eDP (works with RTX Ampere and Ada on Bios and on OS without testing the drivers yet), I'm selling this M6700 with a 1080p eDP 120Hz 3D display installed or by spare, because I don't need it anymore.

 

Specs (eDP 120Hz version):

 

CPU: Core i7 3940XM

RAM: 16GB DDR3 

Storage: 256GB SSD or none

Screen: eDP 3D 1080p 120Hz, no dead pixels

Body: Magnesium and plastic

GPU: GTX 970M (350€) or Quadro M5000M 8GB MXM (400€) or Quadro RTX 3000 6GB (520€) (Could be upgraded to an Quadro RTX 5000 HP in PEG). The current RTX Ampere and Ada only works in iGPU SG.

RAM: 16GB DDR3

Screen: LVDS 1080p 60Hz, no dead pixels

Body: Magnesium and plastic

GPU: GTX 970M (269€) or Quadro M5000M 8GB MXM (340€) (Could be upgraded to an Quadro RTX 5000 HP or RTX 4080 in SG Optimus).

Cleaned the inside of the fans and heatsinks. Good hinges, laptop has a finger print scanner, DVD driver, webcam and microphone. 

 

Everything works.

 

No AC included. Recommended AC 240W or 330W for 150W GPUs

 

Good state, top part of the palmrest is a little sticky.

Hello, you can still buy it and maybe sell the M17X. 

 

I had bad experiences with M17X R4s and M18X R2...

 

The M6700 is compatible with the RTX Turing from HP with eDP 120Hz 3D. Best you could do in PEG is the RTX 5000 from HP.

 

M6700 is stable and pro looking.

 

The Alienware M17X R4 eDP isn't! I tested with an RTX 3000 from HP 8 beeps, as well the RTX 4070 MXM, 8 beeps. Yes I cleared both laptops CMOS before installing a GPU.

 

Can sell you with the Quadro M5000M one or with the GTX 970M for 350€

 

I also sell an Alienware 17 R1 LVDS with eDP connection motherboard. The screen I have should be compatible with it.
