We can try that one after.

Once you test on your normal board, try doing the rebar enable through command prompt.

Also, in the BIOS there's a setting called MAX TOLUD. I think default is 2.25GB or 2.5GB.

After you have tried the command prompt enable (even if it works or not). Go to bios and change MAX TOLUD value to "Dynamic". Then see if it works.

I don't think it's exactly the same as above 4g decode, but should help hopefully.

Okay, I have new insights. After rebooting,  restarted ReBarState again and this is result .

Unfortunately after few seconds windows was freezing and after reboot again and in safemode too ,but i think rebar was created what i watch on sreenshot. I will try a new install of windows and see .

Look for MAX TOLUD in BIOS. try changing to dynamic, if that doesn't work, then try 1GB, 1.25GB, 3GB, 3.25GB etc. Try the different values and see if it helps.

According to you rebarstate, it is on, so it is working. You can try a higher value, instead of 8 you can try 16 etc.

Okay, I'm back. Sorry for my late I made a new win 10 and 11 now no freezing ,but result is not what i expect. I was trying every combinations, but ReBarState say yes and  GPU-Z say no.

And I tried NvStrapsReBar and maybe that helps a little bit.

So every TOLUD setting results in “No” for GPU-z bios rebar status?

we can try making another bios with nvstraps version instead to test

Yes, every TOLUD setting does absolutely nothing with the ReBarDxe.ffs file in the bios. Only in the ReBarState cmd was the resizing visible.
I created a new bios with the NvStrapsReBar.ffs file and tested using the NvStrapsReBar cmd so I tried probably all combinations and the result was a bios error after reboot just no boot sequence . Only the new reflash solution so more than 40 flashings and the same result. I think there is something different between desktop and laptop motherboards.

I finally got all my laptops and GPUs back so I will also try different bios mods on my machine.

Let me know if you make any progress @janepa

Do you know if the ZRT 4090 will also work in M18xR2? Or tested it in M17xR4?

I wonder if @Maks0098 knows as well. I have the opportunity to buy one but it’s very expensive.

No I haven't tried the 4090 card, I think it's too overkill for the m18x r2 | m17x r4.
I originally bought the 4060 for the m4800, but so far I haven't been able to get it to work properly

The 4060 didn’t work properly in M17xR4? You cannot run 3d applications?

it works, but I don't like that it has 8 pcie lines and also the m17x r4 cooling is not well suited for this card because of the high resistor row on the right side of the card

I think 4090 will work out better. Also I have 3080 working and 4090 should have similar layout. Maybe it’s worth the gamble to see if 4090 works since 3080 works and the layout is 99% same.

my biggest concern would be any bios issues but since your 4060 works maybe 4090 will work. I requested a GPu-Z screenshot for advanced PCIe rebar tab to see if bios has rebar disabled.

which desktop PCIe to MXM adapter do you use? Worse case I drop it into my desktop

I used a cheap pcie x1 adapter to initially test the card on the desktop

As for the 4000 series, the main problem is to find a bios that will allow to start without 4g decoding support. the original bios from x-vsion allowed it. after trying a couple of them from techpowerup I found out that in most cases it is not. now I am trying to find a working version for 45 watts.
