In this very thread somebody flashed dsanke BIOS with windows flashing, its not recommended but still possible =D I would say much higher chance than 20%.

Well i flashed the stock bios with the USB method somehow a year ago and now i cant remember how i got it to work.

I wish there was a video or something detailing on how to do it.

I want to try with the windows method but i'm really unsure considering what i've heard 😕

***Edit***

So successfully flashed DSANKE 1.7.29 Bios using DOS method.

I’ve noticed that serial number and board number are blank within the main page of the Bios (which has thrown a registration problem up with my Obsidion Fan Control app)

I’m a bit worried the Windows installation may become unregistered somehow as well if its not seeing a serial number etc from my motherboard

Anyone know if this is normal behaviour ?

Hi,

Total noob here.

Currently got latest P775TM1 Bios installed (used Windows installation method a few weeks ago - i remember running a windows batch file called 'FLASHMEWINX64.BAT' and running through some Dos prompts).

I now wish to install DSANKE's unlocked version downloaded from this thread.

Can someone please let me know the steps to try this in Windows ? Would i just replace the rom in the folder and run the above .bat file again with it picking up the DSANKE rom ?

Probably totally wrong !!!

PS i don't mind an alternate method but not got a programmer and wouldn't know how to start with that method anyway so guess it's a shot with Windows method.

Please help.

Regards

Chris

Hi!

It is normal behaviour when flashing custom BIOS. After many flashes it is blank for me aswell. I am interested in trying to put them back, so if I ever tinker around and make it work I will let you know!

Do you have a backup of your old stock BIOS? If you send me that one it could help me aswell.

Hi @SRS2236

The problem was that the DSANKE bios basically gave my system a non descript UUID which stopped a couple of my registered programs being registered.

I managed to get a dump of my own bios unlocked this morning through a different means which preserved my UUID and having had a quick inspection looks to have all the stuff unlocked that the DSANKE bios had.

I’ve actually been following several threads (P775TM1) that you have been actively in over the last couple of months so great to finally say hi 🙂

I’ve got a liquid/air heatsink arriving this week (or next) that i am going to be fitting in my laptop. Already got cpu delidded and copper ihs fitted. After that i’d then need to start looking at how to utilise Throttlestop/unlocked bios/Afterburner etc to actually tune this laptop up.

I would really value your knowledge and assistance going forwards with it.  Clearly my main effort is to reduce the CPU thermals so the missis doesn’t launch my laptop when the fans kick in haha.

Clearly i’ll start a new thread on it so as not to hijack this one any more.

And of course i can send you a backup of my old stock bios no problemo.

UK based.

Appreciate this forum. Reminds me of the old NBR days.

Which CPU have you delidded?
9900K is soldered to the IHS so not much point of delidding it…

Hi,

It was the 9900K

Already delidded and liquid metalled between die and IHS.  It seems to have resolved a curious behaviour where one of the cores would be a lot hotter than all the rest so i’m quite happy with it.

Hi! I have p870tm1 and was wondering what the diffrences between P870TM-0511-9900KS and P870TM-0716-9900KS are? And what bios I should flash to my system? I have the 9900k and dual 1080 sli.

Hi!

I think the difference between them is the base BIOS used for them. 0511 being the older one and 0716 being a newer one.

Check between stock ones from Clevo if they have these BIOS revision numbers.

Hi, in any TM 1151v2 clevo ,are the KF or F cpus are compatible ?

That F means the lack of a functional Igpu (wich in this laptops will not work any way), so if the laptop has support for the non F version, they will have support for the F as well, which most of the TM have.

Yes without the igpu function .So , if i get an 9600kf, 9700kf 9700f cpu it will work in a p751tm1.

Thanks,  nos something similar: QN8G cpu , 8700k ES  sample  should work also,  when i was ownd  a 870km i got It from clevo with a i5 7500 ES cpu,  i assume in the 751tm the 8700k es will work( im gonna trade in the dm2 for a tm1 with an rtx 2080 and an i9 9900 non K , but probably i will sell the i9).

I searched at the old nbr forum archive and im gonna skip ES cpu-s , porbably im gonna leave the i9 9900 in the tm, at here the non K i9 is very rare.

ES cpu-s may have bugs,  removed features,  beside the lower cpu clck speed  it can be unlocled or not. It can be unstable.

**Edit 2

I have managed to flash the Dsanke bios thanks to the help of this video

It was very useful!

** Edit,

I am silly I just realized you used the dos method.

Do you have a link to some instructions on how?

Also UK based!

Hi! I did the same Dsanke bios to my 751TM , and yes everyone who flsh bios will loose obsidian, we did it with eeprom writer with a 9900 , PL1 at 60W PL at 65W and 3.5 ghz allcore ,3.7 at 6 cores , 3.9 at 4 cores and 4.5 at 2 cores. its quiet and 70C max , tried Clevo contor center , but it messed up my OS so i removed it. Im happy with de result, probably i can get an another 5-10 C with delid or direct die and a peice of vapor block.

If i dont restrict it , its reaching 135W at 100C . First with the stock bios i just turned off turbo boost , it was all time 3.1ghz with any number of active cores. For now its 70C max and the cpu fan produce acceptable noise, im gonna go with the Aliexpress air cooler for 30xx series card version so im hoping the gpu will be a litle bit cooler. My problem is that i have the IGZO 4k in it with a 2080 and if i set the resolution to 4k the gpu is running at max power limit (165W) with full fan speed at 80-85C . For mooving the laptop i dont want to go with the watercooler heatsink.
