jaybee83
haha nice ure enjoying it! although i guess it depends on the type of game ure playing (fast paced or not), ur internet connection and also ur sensitivity towards input lag. Ishayin
Nice! Hadn't come across that before. What ping do you have to their nearest data centre? Also, interesting to think about what the cost comparison should be to... GPU or maybe an eGPU box(?) and how many years of service it takes to balance out. Unless the free 1-Hour session GTX 1060 level suffices for your needs? Can you simply stop the session and immediately start a new one? https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce-now/memberships/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce-now/system-reqs/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce-now/faq/
ryan
my ping is around 50ms and my connection yes is 75mbps......it has gotten so good only drawback is you can't play all games only a handful of AAA games. I suspect in the future it will improve but as it stands its free and pretty good...image quality wise you would need a microscope to see the difference but yeah not perfect id say its better than using all low settings at 720p, thats for sure
ryan
I guess you will need a fast ping internet and 50mbs or up but if you have those and a chromebook or a weak laptop its a pretty amazing alternative
ryan
I have a s21 ultra and a acer spin 311 chromebook and a gaming laptop, although this is neat at the current moment im using my 120hz 4k sony tv and im doing 4k/120 gaming on less demanding titles as of 2022. gta v mixed high settings im getting 100-180fps and can play the tomb raider at a locked 120fps. its bad that I have not been able to game for a decade but now that im retired i have like 300 great games to play and beat....fun times up ahead
ryan
for 120fps of course you will need a 120hz display, but most new phones are 120hz and its pretty cool seeing a triple A game playing on a phone. i'd say its ok on my tablet/notebook....but I have a gaming laptop and 120hz 4k tv gaming now heck even benchmarking is more enjoyable now lol//enjoy
ryan
i have my laptop back ill run some tests...but so far its looking 99 percent native
ryan
yeah its great if you use geforce now on a high end pc but then again if you have a high end pc you can just play natively..i tried it again and the look of it is basically indistinguishable from native gaming...input lag is there just not as bad as you would expect on a weak chrome book...witcher 3 and cyberpunk are playable but games like crysis you will need wifi 6e or something not sure would have to test it out on my gaming laptop when or if i get it back from the pawn shop...scary being this poor and lacking options to get out of a rut

Cell phones can do wonders with emulation these days, but I also have a PSP for emulation. In fact tomorrow I will be finishing up a big battery mod so it can last around 15 hours with full brightness and mild overclock. 1 Telegram / TS3 / Twitter

ryan
my cell phone is getting 16 hrs sot now. thanks to the kill apps app. a few tweaks. I dont see a point in getting more than 10 hours usage out of a system when its unlikely you will game for 10 hours straight
ryan
its weird people are bragging about getting 10 hours screen on time with youtube videos and doing tuts with millions of views on how to get that long battery life....meanwhile here on NBT im getting 16hours and no one wants to know how. we need coverage, alot of people on here know what they are doing tech wise, vets. ryan
Ok so I got to try GeForce now on my new Chromebook. It's free version I tried but it appeared to be 720p on my 1080p display however it still looked nice and was smooth. Perhaps I'll buy the premium version, and report back fingers crossed it will be 1080p

ryan
if only ge force now had more games, otherwise i'd pay for it, sucks waiting 10 min to boot game. otherwise im impressed. they have gaming chrombooks now with 1440p 120hz high gamut displays and i7 13th gen cpus, not half bad but a bit pricey at 900 for a chromebook
ryan
I currently just have a cell phone and tv x85j. I had to Pawn my laptops for basics. My tv supports android and so I downloaded geforce now and bought a wireless keyboard and mouse. Now I can play witcher 3 cyberpunk just cause tomb raider straight off my tv. Super slick. It had some input lag but overall it's playable. I wouldn't do any twitch gaming but for third person single player games its fantastic
