Hi,

I just came on this thread and found out that there seems to be a some "OC" vbios for the Quadro P4000 and maybe P3000 mobile version

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/imac-2011-maxwell-and-pascal-gpu-upgrade.2300989/

Don't try to contact them, looks like they are a bit higher up in their mind and doesn't want to deal with "non mac user" hahaha.

That said, I didn't tried them, your luck may vary, it might not work on normal laptop, I'm currently investigating how it's modded and might be able to replicate it.

Here is a preview of what's this modded vbios is capable on the P4000

Comparing to it's stock graphics score of about 3900~4000, this is a 20% performance uplift that's above a 1060 level of performance.

Nice! I need an unlocked vBIOS for my Quadro P5000 16GB GPU that would make it functionally the same as a 1080 (same chip, but not clock and TGP crippled like the Quadro).

Interesting, I wonder if the same can be done for my RTX 3000 MXM card. 80W TDP is too low, 120W alone would increase performance very nicely.

Hi! , Im wondering about to oc my p3000 a litle bit. Its in an Alienware 17 haswell , and its performing very well in thermal side. Almost not spinning the fans and 60C on the card at full load . Now its max boost is around 1240mhz and stay there at full time, no drop and no throtling either. It was tested in valley benchmark endless mode prox. 20 mins of run.

My P4000 has 86.04.51.00.03

Do you have the CH314A with 1.8v adapter? Read that w/o it could fry the card

Thats why im asking if there was any sucsessfull mods . Im rather not flash if its not confimed yet, hard to find mxm cards at my region, I can only order them from ebay . Im happy with the performance compared to the heat generated at now on full hd 60hz lvds display.

Btw , i have remember that if i buyed the m6700/6800 instead of the AW17 , theres needed to flash an early/ES vbios to it to run in windows cuz you will get error at os standup. in bios and linux theres no promlem at all with it.

This is really good to know cause I tried the P4000 in m6700 but nogo. The p4000 on ebay for $280 is great deal, gotten 2 one for the m18x and m17x. If I can get the GTX 1080m running then I would try P4000 in the m6700

Theres the google drive link for all 3 vbios, ive asked it from someone who already did an m6800 p3000 then later and p5000 upgrade . p4000 are included as well . Dell Precision M6800.rar - Google Drive

OK! got this tucked away in my P4000 folder, When the time comes the m6700 will remove the GTX 980m and it will get a Quadro. I find it funny my m17x and m18x both have Quadro's and m6700 has GTX HAHA Don't tell Dell lol

Thanks!

Your welcome , haha same was here, m6800 with 980m, m6700 with 970m, i was able to get an s7100x work in a clevo p370sm3 as a secondary card with a 1060 in the main slot. Recently sold my k5100m and 765m from the m6800/Alienware  . Now im gonna try a zotac 1070 but as i heard i will loose bios fan controll due to the zotac gpu thermistor incompatibilty . in clevos its goes emergency mode and beeps /auto shut down. I prefer the m6700 over the m6800 cuz of its gpu cooler, 2 heatpipes vs 3 heatpipes.

Hey I've been looking at this GTX 1070 mxm on ebay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/164357449828

But it comes from China actually Hong Kong and the price is acceptable to me but there is alot of tampering with boards that I read about so I don't know if I should take the chance

the card has its bios stock, the alienware bios A14+ mod, I managed to make it start but in the device manager you don't see the display adapter, it only shows 3d accelerator and audio, it won't let me install the drivers I really don't know what Damn it happens, I put it in my other alienware 18 and everything is perfect, I only have problems with the alienware 17.
