Well , the project I have been working on. Finally coming to a finished. I present you a full blown mobile gaming desktop.

Specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte z590I Vision D

Processor: intel i7-10700K

RAM: Adata XPG ROG STRIX DDR4 3600MHZ ( Fubuki )

SSD: 1TB Samsung 970 m.2

Power Supply: 1U 700 Watts 80 Plus Platinum

Keyboard: K65 60% Gaming Keyboard

GPU: RTX 3090 OC Evangelion Edition

LCD: 18.4" 4K 60hz (Driving by a 4K EDP driver board)

Case: Custom Plexi-Glass ..

Now the decision here .. I am set on the 18.4 because it's 4K , but on the other hand , I want a 17" with a high refresh rate. Maybe I can run both LCD lol. Decision , decisions ..

Once I figured out what display I want , I will mount it on top of the case just like a laptop.

Not yet brother. The size is 17" x 13.5" x 2-3/4 thickness. The weight is about the same as an Alienware area 51m R2 with two power supply. 😂

Wow, nice setup, really well build, respect!

Maybe an idea is to 3d Print some sort of enclosure, case that you can carry around easly.

This looks interesting

How loud does it get? You basically have all the fans right next to the kb, and all in the open. I wonder if you can only game in headphones for it to be comfortable :classic_laugh:

Nevertheless, very nice looking build!

With a noctua CPU fan, it's quiet,  but I like the RGB fan  .. and the rtx 3090 .. the fan noise is subtle.

Dude, this project is absolutely amazing, and is something I was planning to do myself in the future. What's the case currently made of? Acrylic?

My only gripe is that I can't find any portable 21.5 inch 144 Hz monitors. I like my big screens. Really wish 18 inch laptops would make a comeback.

AlienyHackbook: Alienware M17X R5 | i7-4930MX | GTX 1060 | 32GB DDR3L Kingston HyperX @ 2133 MHz CL 12 | MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 | Windows 10 LTSC | Hackintoshes Rule!

Desktop Killer: Clevo X170SM-G | i9-10900K | RTX 2080 Super | 32GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistix @ 3200 MHz CL 16 | Windows 10 LTSC | Slayer Of Desktops

Sagattarius A: Custom Built Desktop | i9-10900K | RX 6950 XT | 32GB DDR4 G.Skill Ripjaws @ 4000 MHz CL 15 | Windows 10 LTSC | Ultimate Performance Desktop With Cryo Cooling!

Yes , I used acrylic sheets. I just placed all the hardware in my desire setup and mark the spot where I would mount the standoff screws to mount all the hardware.

I'm finishing up the screen installation , hopefully by mid day tomorrow. I am currently will use the 18.4" 4K display , but will use also a 17" 360hz display down the road.

Super impressive build! I'm curious, what power supply did you use that can supply enough wattage for a 3090? I love the minimalist aesthetic.

If you want an help with 3d printing, I'm happy to help. No pressure though.
