I bought this laptop brand new from Eurocom in late 2015 on release. I sold it to my friend when I bought a P870DM-3. We traded this back for my dell precision and while I wanted to restore it, I am just lazy to do it. 

 

The laptop works as a desktop (once you add RAM/SSD with windows already installed). But in order to use as laptop you need the following:

The keyboard could use a replacement too (lights don't work due to ribbon cable being ripped)

 

It's missing screws but will come with a bag full of screws. 

 

Battery barely holds a charge but it does last like 15-20 mins. 

 

It has my personal Prema Mod BIOS as well.

I am not sure maybe @ViktorV can tell you.

 

i was gonna remove the edp cable to see if it’ll show bios on external display, but after seeing I need to open up basically everything I gave up on it. Right now if I put in a SSD with windows it’ll show image on external display after booting to windows.

8gen I7 will work in this machine with DSanke Bios?

Yes, even 9th gen can work but it would be highly recommended to upgrade VRMs if you do 9th gen i9. 
 

8700k should work fine.

Now Prema Bios is installed. Is it like DSanke Bios?

No. Prema bios is based on original firmware. It does not support 8th gen+ CPUs.

Do you want to change the GPU in the future? (for example do the MXM mod for pascal/turing/ampere cards?)- If yes go with the dsanke TM ported / If not go with dsanke stock bios mod.

I can’t because I can’t see the bios screen. Don’t want to risk something going wrong then I can’t see. 
 

I don’t think it’s worth putting 1060 in here. It has a 200w GTX 980 with Prema vBIOS which should outperform the 1060.

You have to pull the Display cable then you can see the Bios screen via hdmi port on an external Display

You do not need to change anything, just provide adequate cooling (better pads) to mosfets.
