Just WOW! What was a great idea to my way of thinking just keeps getting better! Love your work I have resigned myself to going desktop with my next PC. This is a great compromise!

Wait...that's not normal for you? Actually I'm thinking to put win8.1 back on my Ranger, its much faster than win 10 and thermals are better. I did try ZorinOS but Linux still just isnt there for daily usability in my case (as in a linux idiot and "classic" laptop) I am a little concerned, I use this machine just to have coffee and read news in the morning before work...but my browser of choice (Brave) keeps telling me it can no longer update unless I use win 10. Still stewing on it.

Those are nice temps for a Hotwell cpu! Yes I thought you might need another fan in conjunction with the copper shims to make a difference. Ok, now I know. Thank you.

@Komputers-Best Hi, Just wondering. I have some of those small copper "shims" (I got from somewhere) same as in your pictures all over the heatsink. In your experience did they help with cooling at all? I just assume greater thermal mass in the heatsink? I'm about to lap my cicichen 4pipe heatsink because I have been using liquid metal for a long time and its all dried out unevenly. My normal temps are 45C (with undervolt) but lately I have been hitting 95C on some cores.

I haven't seen part 2 so couldn't tell you. The reviews are not looking good, will have to try it myself. I'm also waiting for the TV series. As a prepper I do like zombie & apocalypse genre games and movies. I really liked Telltale's The Walking Dead season 1 and 2....Michonne onwards was kinda meh

@Maxware79 Hi Max, just a quick question. I just installed Win10 LTSC om my Ranger. Forgetting that the Realtek Card reader driver wouldnt work in win10....I've been searching for a fix but no luck so far......has anyone got a workaround for this?
