  3. Wow, both versions are awesome. Alienware isn’t available in my country, and unfortunately, I can’t buy from eBay either. I’m really curious to see how much of a performance difference there is compared to the R1, especially in terms of CPU performance. If you get a chance, I’d love to see some benchmarks from it.

  6. I’d suggest tightening your RAM timings a bit. Since your RAM is already running at tighter timings than its standard settings, I think CL18 should be easily achievable. This should noticeably reduce memory latency, and you’ll definitely see the difference in benchmarks. Going from CL21 to CL18 could make a significant difference.

  8. My friend, I want us to run a few tests together. Go into RU.EFI and check this option. If it is Enabled, disable it: ACPI D3Cold Support = Disabled Current value: 0x425 = 01 Then do the following several times: Perform a complete shutdown. Power on the laptop with the AGA + RTX 5080 connected. Check the PCIe Error Counters in GPU-Z. Run a demanding game or GPU stress test. Repeat the Cold Boot test several times. If the rate of Bad Boots noticeably decreases, that would be a strong clue that the problem is related to PCIe Power State / Power Sequencing. If nothing changes, we can change the setting back to Enabled.
  9. Even with the Intel graphics enabled, the laptop still displays an image. What I mean is: once you’re in Windows, open Task Manager and disable the RTX 2080. Also, run the test using an external monitor at a resolution higher than 1080p. If you test at 1080p, the CPU will become a significant bottleneck. Also, tell me exactly what issue you’re having with the RTX 5080 on your system. Maybe I can think of something that will help us fix the problem.

  12. If 0xA65 is not set to 01, none of the timings shown in the picture will be applied. That’s why the system fails to boot.
  13. BIOS 1.9.3 becomes unstable at memory frequencies above 2666 MHz. You should downgrade to BIOS 1.7.3. If you do not enable 0xA65, you won’t be able to achieve higher frequencies because the timings selected automatically will not be appropriate. I tested this on BIOS 1.9.3 and it has limitations.

  18. Time Spy is still a valid benchmark for evaluating both GPU and CPU performance. I am a professional overclocker and have extensive knowledge in this field. My benchmark results can be found on HWBOT. On an Area-51m, your processor should normally achieve a CPU score between 10,000 and 10,500 in Time Spy, unless there is an issue affecting the system’s performance.
  19. It has nothing to do with the RTX 5080. Install XTU version 7.14.2.93 and set Core Voltage Offset to -0.130V. Also set all CPU cores to 47x. Check in Task Manager to see how much the processor is being utilized. If CPU usage is between 2% and 8%, that is normal. Use HWiNFO to check the core temperatures. The CPU is not throttling. A score of 7500 is definitely not normal at all.

  21. Go into XTU and set the Core Voltage Offset to -0.120V, then set all cores to 4.8GHz and test it. Your CPU performance should improve significantly. If it’s stable, try lowering it further to -0.125V and test again. The CPU should stop throttling, and temperatures should drop as well. Your CPU score is terrible. You should be getting somewhere between 10,200 and 10,400 points. On my 9900K, I was completely stable at -0.140V with all cores running at 4.8GHz, and I had absolutely no throttling.
  22. To test stability, you can use a memory testing tool or just launch a game and see if the system remains stable.
  23. Is the system stable now? Did you also apply the Memory Warm Test option? With the right timing configuration, you should be able to run stable even at CL19. For now, reboot the system, set those three values I marked to 13, and test it.
