Looking to see if anyone is interested in buying my Alienware 18 R1 from 2013. Just recently got a better machine and wanted to see if there was anyone interested. There are scuffs on the lid and around the corners, the rubberized coating is still in good condition, and everything works great! Price: I've seen some going on ebay for around $600USD, so around there? Specs: Unlocked A12 BIOS 18.4 inch 1080p 60hz screen Intel Core i7 4900MQ (I have a 4940MX I could swap in) Nvidia GTX 770M SLI (with SLI bridge cable) 32GB DDR3L 1600MHZ 2x Intel sata3 ssd (1tb RAID) 32GB Samsung msata ssd 330w Dell OEM ac charger (included) I also have a HP Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 looking for a home if anyone is interested. Any input is valued and appreciated!

Would love to see some love given to the AW 18 r1, been wondering what it could do with a modern modded bios.

I did try taping the pin but it was still doing it... Maybe I didn't do it right? Would it also need the thermal alert pin to be covered as well? I don't know a whole lot about mxm signaling, though I have read about that section.

That's fair, been trying to see if there is any way to remedy the issue. The laptop runs great when the issue isn't occurring.. I did also see something about messing with the power or thermal alert pull up resistor? Hey @ssj92 did this work at all for Alienware 18 r1? I have one I've been messing around with and got one of those hp rtx 5000 gpus, but it does that thermal and power alert. Any info would be great.
