  1. I got it working, a bit of a iffy thing but it works now. The scripts that are in the tutorial didn't work for me, I had to remote into my laptop and run the scripts manually... Could be my fault bug I'm not complaining.
  2. At least not hdmi
  3. It doesn't seem to
  4. I'm messing around with getting my rtx 4080 mxm module put into my clevo P775TM1-G but I can't get the display to work properly. I've tried just about everything. I have the backlight mod from supermg, but when I try to install the driver I'm met with a rainbow line screen and nothing else. The display works fine without a driver, and trying to do the edid manipulation doesn't fix the problem either. Any information would be appreciated. I got the gpu from a Morefine g1. The laptop has the 9900k and the 4k 60hz gsync display.
  5. I thought you couldn't use the rtx cards with the aw18 without the unlocked bios?
  6. Would love to see some love given to the AW 18 r1, been wondering what it could do with a modern modded bios.
  7. I did try taping the pin but it was still doing it... Maybe I didn't do it right? Would it also need the thermal alert pin to be covered as well? I don't know a whole lot about mxm signaling, though I have read about that section.
  8. That's fair, been trying to see if there is any way to remedy the issue. The laptop runs great when the issue isn't occurring.. I did also see something about messing with the power or thermal alert pull up resistor? It's in this link at the end: https://notebooktalk.net/topic/2195-rtx-3080-in-m18xr2-should-i-do-it-lol/page/11/
  9. Hey @ssj92 did this work at all for Alienware 18 r1? I have one I've been messing around with and got one of those hp rtx 5000 gpus, but it does that thermal and power alert. Any info would be great.
