I dont know If I am doing something wrong again got dell precision 7670 with Intel Core i7-12850HX NVIDIA RTX A3000 12GB 32gb ram temps jumping to 100c so it was throttling during cinebench r23 to 2,6ghz or 2,3ghz so it seems like I need too repaste the cpu put Honeywell PTM7950 still throttling to 2,6ghz and 100c even in 3dmark timespy throttles to 2ghz later on during benchmark I was very careful with screwing the heatsink in numbered order doing half rotations every screw till everything was screwed all the way. this TPM worked well on other laptops so I dunno if I am doing something wrong, or getting unlucky with those laptops or what on the other hand this is getting average scores on 3dmark/cinebench r23 so seems just unlucky?

Hi guys, just got my Dell Precision 7760 i7-11850H 32GB RTX 3080 16GB 240W charger But I see a problem when testing gaming, When I am standing still for this test not clicking anything doing anything, I get around 170fps it is a great result for a laptop, but after 2-3 minutes it drops to 80fps, then after 2-3 minutes it goes back to 170fps, then after few minutes again to 80fps, I can see temps and wattage in HWINFO so it is really hot and it is using a lot of power even 200W+ when 170fps but only 120W when dropping too 80fps I did all the updates drivers and so on, in bios I checked power option to not charge battery or whatever from what I see there are 2 problems, thermal throttling and power throttling so I set up throttle stop and after burn and set fps limit in my game (90fps), now my temps are great no thermal throttling at all but still after few minutes still laptop drops to 120W and my fps is way lower, I could technically limit my gpu and cpu and fps even more but what is the point of getting RTX 3080 and 11th gen i7 but limiting yourself to 60fps? now my question is am I unlucky with my 7760 or charger or both? Would getting 340W dell precision charger fix the issue or is it overall dell precision 7760 problem in keeping high watts? Could any1 tell me how long their laptops can keep 200W or even 180W? also where to buy 340W dell precision 7760 chargers? ---------------- edit Everything went well after changing thermal paste to TPM7950 Honeywell, sorry for panicking
