Its both mostly. Corps taking advantage of people trying to save money because Netflix with ads is only $6.99 a month compared to $15.49 a month with standard without the ads. Im not surprised. Philly did the same thing too. Criminals are treated better than the honest citizen these days. Speaking of stupidity and not to get too political but I never seen so many people defend the use of chemicals and extra ingredients in our food, We already sent the same brands and products overseas without the extra ingredients and chemicals and people still ask why we have health problems and especially obesity here.

I been playing Ghost of Tsushima. Amazing game so far. The game is pretty tough playing on a KB/Mouse but getting the hang of it with the sword stances and techniques.

Yeah me neither and i hope for the best, The censorship will go into overdrive afterwards thanks to Google and social media. I dont even like Trump nor the GOP for many reasons but these last 4 years has been hell and im sick of the gaslighting from the MSM and social media and the political ads. Wish i didnt live in a battleground state though.

This isnt the only forum that bashes Windows 11, many other places including social media bashes too because it sucks, Too much useless bloatware, spyware and other crap that noone asked for and there no improvements with Windows 11 over 10 at all. When Windows 10 still dominates in the OS marketplace after almost 3 years since its release its a problem, part of the problem when Microsoft dont allow older PCs without TPM 2.0 to upgrade to it but you can bypass it for now if you create a bootable Win11 USB drive with rufus. Unfortunately i will be forced to use Windows 11 if i buy a new PC but will do my best to remove the bloatware and spyware with programs like O&O ShutUp10++ and others to make it more tolerable to use. Well with Intel having problems and AMD 9000 CPUs series are not selling well because of their high prices and software problems we're in the bad times of the PC world!.

If people wants more suffering then they'll get what they voted for again, Unfortunately we'll suffer too once again. Speaking of that finances is causing problems in my relationship, We're forced to make serious cutbacks because the cost of living/economy sucks right now. Had to put most of our plans on hold and dont want to run our credit cards to the Max to buy things to get by. Been working OT even though my current job is trying their hardest to cut it among other problems. My current side hustle has slowed down lately that its not as profitable anymore, Its been pretty stressful but other people are going through worse things
-
Yeah thats most jobs today especially with inflation and a bad economy going on. People are getting laid off and replaced by younger and cheaper workers. Companies are doing cutbacks and relying on AI, Self pay kiosks and etc for low-end jobs. Mostly it is because Windows 11 is trash, even Linux has better gaming performance but AMD is making weak excuses. Intel is already taking a L but AMD decides follow in Intel's footsteps lol..

Yeah the durability with Honeywell PTM7950 is nuts, Its been a year since i repasted with it and it still holds up even with this summer heat and high humidity here on the east coast. For desktops it'll last for several years without a repaste and for gaming laptops and workstations you dont have to worry about pump outs and repasting often.

Truth especially when they're making excuses for Intel's bad business decisions and accusing people of being AMD shills. This is a serious problem and the failure rate is too high to ignore. Intel pulled a Boeing, laying people off like crazy (More layoffs coming by the end of the year) and making bad cutbacks and screwing over the consumer and could have life threatening consequences in some cases. Intel screwed themselves here and it makes it hard for me to buy a PC with a Intel CPU unless its 12 Gen and below, I dont know the laptop 13th and 14th Gen versions are affected. Im not saying that people should switch to AMD and hell they could be doing similar things too and most likely it'll be called by the same people in the tech space but at the end of the day the consumer are the ones who getting screwed over by big companies especially with the bad economy going on around the world.

As a American it was a damn mess because a lot of services that we depend on for our daily lives were down and it was caused by a bad configuration lol. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Microsoft-Azure-and-Microsoft-365-services-affected-by-Central-US-Azure-outage-resulting-from-bad-configuration-change.865216.0.html Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services were affected by a Central US Azure outage that occurred on July 18, 2024. A configuration change in Azure resulted in storage clusters and servers being disconnected, initiating an automatic reboot that took down affected services, which included Teams, OneDrive, and Defender. At this time, only Teams remains affected. Readers can track the status of this incident (Tracking Id: 1K80-N_8) on the status pages linked below. This is unrelated to the global CrowdStrike outage incident. Microsoft Azure is a cloud service provider of both storage space and computing power. Businesses can save money on IT by using Azure for their servers rather than in-house servers because Microsoft is in charge of maintaining, upgrading, and backing up the cloud servers. However, errors caused by Microsoft Azure staff can affect both Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services. Microsoft says, "We determined that a backend cluster management workflow deployed a configuration change causing backend access to be blocked between a subset of Azure Storage clusters and compute resources in the Central US region. This resulted in the compute resources automatically restarting when connectivity was lost to virtual disks hosted on impacted storage resources." This basically means the servers could not access the data, so the cloud computers automatically rebooted, taking down many Microsoft services. Affected services included Microsoft Azure, Defender, Fabric, Intune, OneDrive for Business, PowerBI, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Viva Engage. Only Microsoft Teams remains affected by the now-resolved Central US Azure outage, and Teams users should know that "Meeting organizers are unable to add people in the meeting scheduling form using Microsoft Teams for personal use apps." Enterprise IT readers who are worried about future Azure outages taking down their companies for days can look into Kubernetes-based app platforms like VMWare Tanzu and read about it (in this book on Amazon) to learn how to deploy apps across multiple cloud services for redundancy.

That mod has been out for months and people was talking about it for months, at first it was a paid mod by the author Nukem because there was plenty of bugs with it at first. It works fine besides the ghosting especially in Cyberpunk 2077 when driving and some other image problems but that's a problem with FSR 3.0 thats why a lot games didnt use it. Speaking of that FSR 3.1 is now available which is a great improvement over FSR 3.0 (2.2). Great news for us non 40 series users!

Same here until i buy a new PC because Windows 11 has zero benefits over Windows 10 for me. Also Probably i used O&O Shutup 10 to shut off a lot of Microsoft's spyware but it still feels good!.

I agree. This is probably an unpopular opinion but i dont think we need much performance gains especially with games over reliant on DLSS, FSR, XeSS and the use of framegen aka fake frames these days instead of raw performance, hell you can add FSR 3 frame gen mod to make any non 40 series GPU to use it. Also most people dont have a 4k monitor. The use of GDDR7 would help but sadly the 50 series will be very expensive including for laptops too Here the latest steam survey for May: https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Software-Survey-Welcome-to-Steam The RTX 3060 is still most popular GPU and in 2nd place again the GTX 1650 and followed by the RTX 3060ti. -
It would be great and if there a market for it and not super expensive. I really like what framework is doing with their laptops and i wish other OEM's was doing what they're doing. What i want a bit more than a swapable CPU and GPU is a swapable keyboard like back then since its the most fragile component of a laptop and currently you'll have to tear down a laptop completely to be able to replace it and the parts are hard to find... Yea, Haswell was the last socketed CPU in laptops. I once did a motherboard replacement of my old HP ENVY Haswell laptop after the GPU failed and it pretty cheap then. Removed the CPU from the old motherboard which used a torx screw, and install on to the new motherboard, Still works now

Im sure most people here know that Ghost of Tsushima is avaliable on the PC now and im curious if anyone here played it on their PC yet. Never played the PS4 version because i dont have one and probably one of the few games i would buy at full price.

Besides groceries i ended up buying a new phone about a month ago. The Galaxy A54, I was leaning towards the Galaxy S23+, the Galaxy S24, but they was too expensive of what i needed. I hate the fact that flagship phones removes features like the headphone jack and the sd slot like why....... meanwhile midrange and budget phones still have those features.....

With temps like that especially the GPU, it'll be fried in less in a year or so, plus its throttling too, Either avoid running it on turbo mode or just return it. You should be able to return it without question if you're not happy with it, dont let the rep convince you to keep it if you're not happy with it especially when you spent a lot of money on it. -
Its been a while since i login here on NBT, Life has been pretty hectic and still is but it easing up somewhat. Anyways update after almost 9 months of using Honeywell 7950. I cleaned my fans last week since i noticed my laptop was overheating but after a dust clean up temps are back to normal. Not much changed besides my cinebench score!

Because modern games uses a crazy amount of textures and currently on my system Forza 5 takes up the most space at 151GBs and it continues to go up with every update. The problem is worse with 2023 games using broken game engines like UE5 that uses crazy amount of resources with barely any changes in graphics and add the over relevance of DLSS/FSR/XeSS and Frame Gen to mask the problems. @ryan Try not to go crazy with your build, Buy what you can afford now, you can always upgrade later and it'll be cheaper too. -
Relatable to a upcoming storm after Windows 10 support ends.

It cant because a RTX 4050 is weaker than a RTX 3060 in raw performance, about 5-10% on 1080p but and gap widen on 1440p because it has 96bit bus but it can beat it if a game has Frame Gen which are only available for 40 series GPUs. A RTX 2080 is still stronger than both GPUs
-
Probably by bots lol. Personally i think the game itself will be a disappointment as i stated before in my earlier posts but i hope i am proven wrong!. I want to them to improve the gameplay by bringing back the car physics from GTA IV especially car crashes, More open buildings and places to explore, Bring back the body system from GTASA, Home robberies, vigilante missions, and etc. The OG GTA games was great!. The games themselves were pretty difficult to play but fun and somehow i beat them both when i was kid, good memories besides the bus mission in the first game where you keep the bus at 50mph like the movie speed or you'll die. Also this mission was the most gruesome back then

A full wattage RTX 3060 has similar performance to a RTX 2070 Super depending on the wattage. https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-3060-Mobile-GPU-Benchmarks-and-Specs.497453.0.html Also a RTX 2080 uses 150w and can be boosted up to 200w with a VBIOS flash if possible. The bit bus matters a lot because no matter if a RTX 3060 has higher cuda cores and clock speeds the lower bit bus is going to slow it down.

New major update coming out Tuesday Hopefully there will be a full changelog of the new changes soon! UPDATE: 2.1 patch notes released https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/49597/update-2-1-patch-notes
