    I think I solved the issue finally @Etern4lyou were right my tcl tv was just falsely showing dolby being used.. no way a upper end sony tv vs a lower end no name tv would have less abilities

    Found a cool Google.android app. It's called Pluto tv and it's completely free with no sign up. It's like having free cable TV...amazing what's out there

    I've been doing alot of phone gaming lately..mainly 8 ball pool and grid autosport and I kid you not grid looks better maxed on my phone then it does my expensive bulky laptop..phones really are the future..I think the future is now because I also checked out call of duty and once again the graphics looked like 1440p high setting on a pc..all this on something a little bigger than a deck of cards. And hertz I was wondering about blade runner ? Any fun or good reviews that are not from like 9 year old kids

    Woah I'm jealous. I was thinking of upgrading my omen 16 to 64gb of ram and 2tb ssd on top of the stock 1 tb..thoughts? Is 64gb worth it. Mind you I don't do photo editing much but I might get into it. Thanks for sharing your build great having you back..also if things get quiet head on over the desktop benchmark thread it's basically NBT chat box

    Interesting stuff. I'm benchmarking my phone and gaming on it now. When something smaller than a piece of toast can deliver performance better than a xbox one and graphical fidelity equal to said. Hard to ignore it. Cell phone games are getting 500 million downloads plus and we'll I think consoles added to pc sales is a tenth of that. Cell phone gaming sadly is the future...they will become powerful enough to run games looking equal to pcs and be photo realistic. Can't get better than photo realistic. Wirelessly stream to a paper thin quantum oled. Or holographic gaming using hard light. Maybe high resolution ar glasses. The future is close and it will peak. In the meantime I'll enjoy what's on offer and will enjoy benching until it vanishes.

    Quick question? I'm buying 64gb of ram for my hp omen 16-b0010ca. I'm looking at gskill 3200 ddr4 ram or corsair vengence ddr4 3200...they both support xmp but only the vengence says it will Automatically overclock. What's the best 32gb and up ram I can get for my laptop. is 3200 the max speed and will my omen 16 overclock the 32gb set to say 3600 Automatically I'm about to buy the 64gb gskill it's in my cart but the overclocking of the 32gb vengence has me interested...I don't mind stepping down to 32gb over 64gb if I get faster ram.. Advice?

    Yeah I sit 2 feet from a nice 55in 4k tv and it looks sharp barely see the pixels when looking for them and not possible to notice them while gaming and well everything except reading...I can see why they are saying it will top at 16k..mind you we said that about 4k and now there's 8k..but then again 8k is more novelty than practical unless the screen is like 60in from 2 feet away.. The neo g8 eh..I'm jealous..I was told to buy a gigabyte or arorus 42in gaming monitor fror 750 however went with a 55in 4k 120h Sony x85j..its a great tv but I can't stand the fact it does not do full 4k at 120hz while using as a desktop when it matters...during gaming it's a full 4k 4 2 2 and looks great..but only with consoles...I'm trying to sell it for 540 cad and upgrade to a 55u88h by hisense because of its oled like blacks and extreme brightness as well as motion handling and the fact it does true 5k120 whilst hooked up to a pc

    yeah I was thinking melting wires and cpu ect whole system from an ethernet cable????? literally 0 cases on planet earth, Iv'e heard of a toaster catching fire but never a remote control....I guess its possible if it was submerged in water with lithium soup around it???each to their own

    i watched a documentary years ago and in it they were saying the tipping point is 16k. 8k hard to tell..16k not possible...but of course it depends on how big the display is and how far away(par.200in from 1 foot)..looks like display tech will peak in our lifetimes that is until holograms become a thing....evidentally it is possible heres something worth watching\

    i was just saying hdr in general worked....now nothing does 50in tcl tv from 2 years ago said dolby vision was on....i guess ill never know because im not buying another tv for a while

    its not that it can do 8k60 in all games its just now that it can do 8k60 with older titles and some new....not that 8k is a thing i missed where I said people are buying the 4090 for 8k gaming...jeesh im getting old and senile. its like talking about elephants and then saying peanuts are not interesting
