  1. Yeah.. idk my old 50 in tcl showed dolby vision being active on some hdr youtube videos..perhaps false reading..I think your right because this tv has actual meaningful hdr and cost twice as much so it better have proper hdr lol...
  2. Woah I leave for a few weeks and you have it up and running...I honestly thought you would have a hard time getting a 4090....on a happy note I hear they are busting 40k in timespy and getting over 144fps in many aaa games at 4k..just awesome just awesome congrats
  3. Congrats.. I'm also jumping ship, the gap between desktop and laptop is too hard to ignore...and besides who lugs around a laptop and games for 50min on the train..Cell phones fill that void..I say get the best desktop and cell you can and F the rest
  4. Haha etern4l and talon... I have to say yeah 10ms is what I heard also no human would notice or be bothered by a loss of 10ms...human reactions can be around 230ms ...check out my thread how fast are you reaction test..I also checked out GeForce now with my new internet at 60ms ping vs the 6ms before and literally noticed no difference...on paper anything can be argued but when it comes to the experimentation or use of..well that's technically all that matters when it comes to gaming
  5. Yeah the youtube dv videos only work with certain tvs...netflix ones work just fine...on my old tcl TV I had dv working via youtube
  6. thanks for that my dad also agrees....ill hang tight until my van dies
  7. I liked the last starwars movie or second to last it was amazing, empire strikes back good but the series ones are terrible and they are making us wait as though we have 10 years to invest in waiting.
  8. thats pretty old man. I don't even remember my first computers specs it was a macintosh and im pretty sure the ram was measured in KBs not Gbs. HDD was like a few MB. good for almost nothing....one thing I dont forget was loading a web page at 12....took like 4 days to load a text based page from gamefaqs.com....ah yes but it was advanced it was doing basic 3d games and more advanced sprite games than the consoles of the time, but I won't lie PS and xbox were a pretty huge leap and even tied pcs of the time for a fraction of the price. last time we had that was actually recently with the xbox series x. 600 for a 2080 and 16 core cpu with 1 tb ssd and 16gb of ram....pretty solid deal
  9. if the AI implimentation is as good as other AI algos...jesus are you in for a ride have you seen the AI produced artwork? its insane...really good looking very creative and almost jaw dropping good artwork thats done in seconds
  10. my girl friend said its just right...not to small and not to big. bothering me alot lately talk about first world problems eh @jaybee83 on a happy note i can afford what shed call too big of a computer case and should be a snug fit although its all black. sigh computer shopping can be tough sometimes
  11. Andor=flop from my perspective all talk no action and I care about the protagonist why? dudes like caring about mr gates finances. I guess it would or could be interesting but it isnt real and who the hell why the hell do i care.
  12. I have a deal with Space X, elon tweeted me saying he can get me back home for a cool 542 million and in less than 6 years. really excited to see my mom/dad/ and sister
  13. yeah I heard through my best friend I didn't believe it until just now....really sad he will be missed that song was one of the best from the 90s....iv'e probably played it over 700 times. sign no one can slow down the hand of time as the queen put it..life...it is what it is
  14. on a more serious note I had a computer in the shed for a few years, dug it out/ below is a picture of me tinkering with ram timings
  15. yeah.. I don't really care anymore as 95-105 percent bump in raw performance is enough for me to blink twice.....I think im going to get a 4090 egpu setup as the 11800h is still pretty good. thats actually a really good idea....but as for now this is an exciting time and I cant imagine how excited @jaybee83is. he is going to get like 400fps maxed at 8k with crysis lol....yuppers i think we can finally say we ran crysis also i'd like to add they are all sold out lol....kinda like saying im buying a ps5..(year 2030) by the time you can actually buy it they will have a new model out Admin edit: please use the edit function. Thanks!
  16. pretty wild how close the cuda core count was but they were way off with TDP....almost double off as for leaks I think a feb leak is way to early to have anything accurate or true
  17. yeah its a really tough call ill have to do a little research but I know for a fact it will be hampered with 8k movies...4k who knows.
  18. something fun....this was leaked back in late feburary..ha not a bad leak but off just saw an ad on my phone saying the new 4000 series will require a 1500w power supply!! thoughts? 16,384 CUDA cores Nvidia RTX 4090 specs: 24GB GDDRX VRAM, 16,384 CUDA cores.25 Sept 2022 oh and it gets released in sept https://www.tomsguide.com/news/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4000 According to what Wccftech calls “reliable leakers," the new hardware will likely pack a punch. There’s talk that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 flagship card will be powered by the Ada Lovelace AD102 and come with 18,432 CUDA cores with a clock speed as high as 2.5GHz and 92 teraflops of compute performance. For comparison’s sake, the current top-end Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 card packs 10,752 CUDA cores, a 1.6GHz clock speed and around 37 teraflops of compute power.
  19. for 120fps of course you will need a 120hz display, but most new phones are 120hz and its pretty cool seeing a triple A game playing on a phone. i'd say its ok on my tablet/notebook....but I have a gaming laptop and 120hz 4k tv gaming now heck even benchmarking is more enjoyable now lol//enjoy
  20. I wonder about geforce now? ill make it clear I expected stadia to fail just didnt interest me buying same games twice. but is geforce now going down also? 3d and vr are pretty cool I wonder if VR will die out along with what happened to 3d...I mean TVs will probably go the way of the dodo bird because its a gimmick and clearly paper flip book motion has a high fluidity and hz as well as faster TAT. like is this world freeking retarded or something. they had tech to run vehicles off water before the climate crisis. we had propane/hydrogen....they could have developed the photo electric cell to insane levels with the trillions they wasted on war. covid pandemic just puts a nail in humanities coffin..kinda reminds me of the video of CHimPs running a newspaper outlet.
  21. GTA V..great game/funner with mods/even funner taking mods online? fun for you not so fun for others I think we can all agree you could complain about any game to any degree, but with a game like GTAV and RDR2 it's alot harder to do as they don't have any equivalents. GTA V is simply massive and dense with tons of things to do. maybe even unlimited with all the mods available. its funny hearing you say I hope its not like GTA V....lol..I sure hope earth doesnt become one giant paradise like the garden of eden...lol..bro I know you just tossed it out there but cmon what game are we comparing it to? tw3?
  22. yeah I had 14tb of HDD (external storage) at one point they were slow but good enough for VR movies/games. A SSD might help though with the change in my techno diet...im now at 4k with everything vs 1080p and i'm expecting 4k to put HDDS to sleep.
  23. I really wonder how dlss 3.0 will look and if its going for a sharper look over the semi blurred look, and will they release it to ampere if it's even possible to do so I heard it uses a form of frame generation and insertion. should be neat. keep us posted @jaybee83
  24. yeah i thought it might help games caching the game. im not really storing movies/text just games. im thinking a normal hdd will be fine
  25. i wont lie,im not buying it but its exciting seeing a leap in performance around 95 percent, never happened before
