im using 16gb of ram in game so I thought if I get 32gb it might use 24gb and ill need at least 10 for windows so 64gb is the obvious answer, not alot of people game at 4k, and what I notice is it uses quite a bit of vram with textures set to high or ultra, medium is fine. but to get any sort of eye candy 16gb system ram coupled with 6gb vram just isn't enough. and overkill might be a good thing kinda like having extra money posted at the same time as you 😛 I'm using alot of ram, I can't seem to shake the hackers. they do weird stuff like change my languages to spanish. really annoying. but yeah 64gb is 3200mhz ddr4 the timing are a bit looser at 22 and something but overall performance should be close to 16 or 32gb. I'd like to add often times I have youtube running in the background for music while gaming and that doesn't use a great deal of ram but it would be nice to do everything without closing stuff and still have 16gb free. If you guys game at 4k let me know I think you guys typically game at 1440p I could do the same but I invested in a 4k tv for gaming, hopefully it is overkill as you guys claim. just did a quick check and tried to show you guys what I'm saying but overlay isn't showing in the pictures. bascially im using more than 16gb ram just for crysis it said 14487 or something and I know it must be using the page file because of the eventual crash, now if I had 64gb ram im sure instead of the memoryebing dumped on the page file and instead the ram It would stutter but not as bad. kinda like going tfrom 8gb single channel to 16gb dual channel. Or I have no clue lol

getting 64gb of ddr4 ram in a few days. was free had a e coupon from bestbuy, I hope it helps with the memory leaks on grid legends, Im thinking ram leaks or it needs more than 16gb at 4k and for sure needs more than 6gb vram funny thing is I remember telling a guy on NBR that games will require more than 8gb vram at 4k in a year or two, and he argued against. my point was the consoles are 16gb and all we get are ports hence needing 16gb for future games. now that I have a 6gb card I really feel it, I can run ultra textures if I dont mind 30-40fps but forget 4k/60 with textures above medium. and medium isnt pretty. I can't remember who has 64gb ram on their system but do you guys notice a difference in anything? ill be using it for gaming and audio creation.

I checked out samsung magician for my evo plus and all I saw for toggles on off or options was TRIM....am I missing something? wheres the settings or options, sorry in advance

we have lost a few frequent posters due to this as well as other reasons. but im sure reciever will get something done, but if the excuse is money I dont see why donations would be avoided or declined when numerous members have stated they will pay. I was told back in feburary it was being setup now its almost august and nothing.

normal people would care, these people are extremely greedy and don't care about companies like intel/amd/nvidia. They have always been greedy and have been taken to court numerous times for running a monopoly. I guess only they know. ok now im interested in linux, whats it like? is it an actual OS or is it like DOS where you have to put in code that you have to learn through laborious trial and error. ill check out linux once I free up some space, not sure if I can triple boot with just two drives but I heard you can partition a ssd to have two or more OSes on one drive. its not that I don't know its just that I have trust issues. sorry for all the questions, but is it possible to get chrome os on a modern computer, its mainly for 8 ball pool and for some reason I can't even get bluestacks android 11 to run it found this

I have 2 laptops and 0 desktops, somethings wrong with this picture. I am wondering if anyone knows when the 5000 series will be out? are we a few years away if so I might jump laptop ship and get a desktop for benchmarking and light gaming was thinking the only card worth buying albeit expensive is the 4090 on nvidias side of things. I would go amd if they had a better version of FSR but hey maybe down the line ill switch to AMD. and one final question, is windows 7 still active and will I be able to use it for older games, and is it available for free? jesus there really is something to this, I tried different drivers same senerio all identical and the difference is huge like im talking 8-13 percent. this is real, I was expecting windows 10 to be faster but not by this margin after I tweaked windows 11. no amount of tweaks will allow windows 11 to be as good as windows 10 I literally have 100s of reg tweaks in effect. heres another test this time fresh installs windows 10 windows 11 basically i'd like to add I did not do benchmarking fraud, these are real and unaltered no lie they are stock with identical settings in control panel with no overclcok

Off topic, but I was completely wrong, I was using different drivers apparently and different settings were used, so I matched them with equal settings/drivers/same tweaks here are the definitive results for the omen 3060 windows 10 windows 11 ill try with different drivers in a bit but the newest drivers are blocking overclocking with my omen 3060

yeah I had no idea the cards were capped at 110w, I see 130-140w constantly. Does increasing the tgp with a shunt mod just automatically uplift the performance, or are you overclocking

I was thinking the same thing. I seem to be getting really good performance with just my own tweaks and a stock windows 11, its quite a bit faster than stock 10. I think google can be a life saver if you know what sources to trust... as for the cable mod debacle, I have never seen such dishonest business practices in my life, hey we are changing our cables for no reason and there is nothing wrong with the old design. lol just lol face palm. nothing wrong with square tires, no ones fallen off there bikes but we have this new design that incorporates a circular tire, no reason/ LMAO

Oprekin is potentially my next os but i kinda dont trust russian hackers as far as spyware goes, im not sure why but i don't. Im just using two seperate ssds, 2tb for windows 11 and 1tb for windows 10

I just installed windows 10 on my omen now I have a dual boot 11 and 10 laptop, not bad performance with windows 10 but not alot better after tweaking the crap out of 11. I would like to have chrome os and mac on my laptop also but I have no idea if its possible or how to do it.
