    Thanks for that info pretty smart guy you are. I took physics in school but forgot most of it lol. literally didnt use it even once. But when I was younger I really enjoyed it. I knew about phase changes but didn't know what it was called, and if I remember correctly(oxymoron incoming) we didn't learn that up here in canada but the jist was mentioned by the teacher.

    this is my argument. Yes I game at 4k but only because I bought a 4k tv and it just works, im mainly playing 7 yearold games though and when I try to push newer games at 4k things fall apart with only a few exceptions like THPS and crysis. I don't need 120 or 144hz but it is nice. TBH I sometimes lower the resolution to 1440p or 1080p and run in windowed mode and just center it so its like a big monitor in front of me vs the entire screen 55in that I have to physically move my head to see everything. I love how robust a 4k tv can be for gaming when being used as a monitor. kinda like 1080p looks great in windowed mode, 1440p awesome and a bit bigger, 4k woah. I think it would be the ultimate setup to have a new quantum dot oled 55in tv hooked up to a desktop with a 4090, but thats way out of my budget so 4k triluminos and 3060 it is 😛

    I think they were banking on frame generation being the main selling point, but why it causes artifacts in most senerios. I personally think they put their chickens in the wrong basket as I personally don't care for dlss 2 or 3, looks worse performs better go figure.

    yeah I know, I don't have a good excuse I know better. it was an impulse buy but the next computer I get will be desktop because gone are the 6970m mxm upgrade to 7970m days. I think i have a few years to save up before I won't be able to game at 1080p/1440p/or 4k heck 4k gaming might be over for the 3060 today as PTR(plague tale) runs at 4k but with dlss and all low and still gets only 30fps, and cyber punk has to be set to dlss quality all medium no eye candy to average 35fps I heard on a game news site 1080p is still the norm its just the enthusiasts making it seem like you need 1440p/4k but the vast majority of people have entry level computers and game at 1080p. what are your thoughts on 4k gaming? are we there yet like can the midrange really game at 4k/60 my thoughts are I don't think we are there yet as people now want 120fps and up and no gpu truely does 120fps at 4k in all games.. The 4090 is close but I think we are 1 or 2 generations away

    Yeah I buy laptops because a 3060 desktop was 2500 and a laptop was 1800. Now it's clear desktop is the way to go. It will be fun getting or making my first gaming desktop.. somewhat disappointing as cpu and gpu scores are down, but about even g/take 30 points gpu is down 200 points cpu is up 200, like bro @Mr. Fox you said it. pick your poison

    Thanks bro, im sorry for being so detached lately (just my illness). NO excuses 😛 I was really hoping to get in the top ten with windows 10 but it did very little, mind you I still have to tweak it but so far tweaked windows 11 > windows 10. But once I even the playing field im sure ill score higher in timespy, but Im crossing my fingers, my score was 9228 and in windows 11 it was around 9550 so its a pretty big drop, but ill try. I honestly don't know how you and @Papusan do it like do you guys come up with your own secret tweaks or do you find them on google?

    Ryan the rookie chiming in. I just installed windows 10 along side windows 11. And the difference is pretty huge, everything opens in an instant and games don't stutter. I thought bro @Papusansaid new is always better haha. Pretty happy as i thought id have to buy windows 10 as my laptop just came with windows 11, just wasnt positive. Now its benchmark time. I wonder if ill get higher scores?

    I noticed alot of people are buying 32gb ram configs. Im thinking of upgrading my ram from ddr4 16gb to 64gb because I do alot of gaming at 4k and it seems to chew through the system ram, is 32gb or 64gb worth it for the extra 80? and thanks for the review, I think alot of people were wondering about the 4080 config. Im tempted to save up for a 4080 or 4090 laptop just think that by the time I have 4000 saved the 5000 series will be right around the corner.

    why? shunt modding seems risky and won't improve performance much, i upped my tgp from 115w to 140w and it was risky barely see 3fps difference in games, if i had known that i wouldnt have done it as the temps are higher. what gains did you get?

    ended up getting a 200 buck hp 15dy2018ca has intel xe which is fine for its 1366x768 display.

    I would go to bestbuy.ca or .com and check out the t480s or lenovo t490s laptops, they are solid performers. a great laptop to own and use!! just pick the specs and condition and your good to go

    yeah I was suprised, What I saw was temps go from 90s to 60s and 70s. I guess alot of heat is dissipated when you go from a solid to a liquid

    Not my highest score, but I'd have to re install wndoze 11 again and im not ready for that, my best was around 25 000 gpu you guys have some pretty good scores, @KING19 that gpu you have is perfect for 1080p/1440p gaming. I think @ssj92 needs to try madd doggs tweaks ill post it in a bit. try this: I have used it a few times and at the very least brings your cpu score up a bit Maddogg's FAST Gaming PC Registry Tweaks | TechPowerUp Forums heres stock here is 167/300 oc heres 167/300 not bad not great, but in the sea of 3060s its still in the top 1 percent NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (notebook) video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-11800H,HP 88F4 (3dmark.com) if it matters here's a .900 undervolt

    after flashing my vbios to 140w ill post an update, but im having difficulties getting my performance back to where it should be, either way its a nice bump. @ssj92 you have a nice setup, I thought about buying a 4090 alienware and decided against because i don't like having the best computer on the market, not sure why but I like pushing midrange into the high range vs peaking with the top end. I think my next laptop will likely be a 5090 or a desktop, no crystal ball but I have an idea.

    Interesting. Yeah it's alot smarter than we assume. It can go through vast amounts of data and think..so it's more like a ultra savant as it stands but if things continue on it will become mind boggling intelligent to the point where we will just have to trust it and cross our fingers

    Nice find, I checked it out they have a demo it looks like cell shading and similar to jet set radio from the dreamcast graphically. fun, Good reason its getting rave reviews, sometimes simple can be better.

    I noticed that also, no far cry 6 benchmark and a comparison to something thats not there perhaps. either way impressive scores, I think getting 3090 oc scores is impressive for a laptop, but these comparisons have been done for years now.

    I saw from a few youtube videos the honeywell thermal pads actually work extremely well and can lower temperatures under load by 15c and at the very least if your laptops set to auto fans lower the fan speed. I think im going to order 2 applications and get it done in a shop as I think my motherboard is upside down and would be a pain.

    I have a million questions about AI, but a forum is nor the place for that. I think Ill just agree with everything I read and never question anything. But im going to do the unthinkable, and say what is Ai's motive in destroying us, is it because they will see us like ants and have no use for us or will we be farmed ala the matrix. I watched the matrix when I was a kid and thought wow that kind of fate is a long ways off, now it seems strikingly close.
