I went into bios as well after. I was having thoughts my fan wasn't working.  So I set the bios to "high performance" mode. The fan does not get really loud like it used to. I am thinking it was so blocked up with husky fur that it was working way harder.  I took the back off, repasted with NT-H2 and cleaned the fan and heatsink.

I ran the benchmark in affinity and gained about 20% in performance.  ha ha.

a good reason why you should clean that fan & HS once a year

  2. nice.

why not update the Nahimic APO4 driver to either 4.15.3.0 or 4.15.4.0, FrancoTecno?
    or at least the 4.11.6.2 version of the APO4 driver {this one is specifically available from the MSI web site, which seems to be a "hotfix" version of 4.11.6.0}

the 4.15.3.0 & higher versions of the APO4 driver no longer include the somewhat annoying "Nahimic companion" app, which was dropped starting from the 4.15.3.0 release.

If you have Nahimic Companion installed, try stopping that from loading at startup to see if that helps.

    speaking of Nahimic companion, it no longer autoloads on startup after updating the Nahimic APO4 driver to either 4.15.3.0 {from Microsoft} or 4.15.4.0 {download & run latest GenericNahimicRestoreTool.exe tool to obtain the newest APO4 driver}

and MSI posted an updated Realtek Audio MSI driver - version 6.0.9918.1 a few days ago on their web site in December 2025

Device Driver & Utility downloads for MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth have been released as of February 12

Microsoft has finally added the official CPU support list for Windows 11 version 24H2, and the company has strangely removed several Intel processors from it.

a "stupid" click bait article from Neowin (and you "fell" for it, Papusan)

THIS Windows Latest article will "dispute" that:

No, Microsoft is NOT dropping Windows 11 support for Intel 8th, 9th, and 10th Gen chips

  6. From Neowin - Patchy Tuesday: Users need slower software development cycles to avoid frustration and bugs

Microsoft now says not to manually install Windows 11 24H2/Server 2025 MSU updates

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 11 24H2 KB5044284 and KB5046617 can't install future updates. A workaround has been provided.

And of course Microsoft have to offer guides... They know their own trash best.

    also mentioned in BleepingComputer
    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/windows-11-installation-media-bug-causes-security-update-failures/

this one is not an issue for those who obtained updated Windows 24H2 11 ISOs with the December 2024 (KB5048667) or newer update included (at least MVS & VLSC users can get these)

    Quote

The bug does not impact security updates applied via Windows Update or the Microsoft Update Catalog website and does not occur when the latest December 2024 security update is used.

What driver i can use for GT73EVR 7RE titan ?

this is a 7th gen Intel based MSI laptop.  if you're not using the modded drivers here, you need to install the 6.0.8967.1 HDA FF03 legacy (non-UAD) audio driver with Nahimic 2.5.36 software.

    and once again

time for a new modded audio driver update for autumn 2024

because that link to Realtek audio driver package that was once version 6.0.9718.1 was unexpectedly updated to version 6.0.9738.1 around the end of September 2024 (I too had a busy schedule at that time, so I wasn't around to make an announcement of it); same download link but NEW version

the link to that driver package that was once 6.0.9738.1 has recently been updated to version 6.0.9757.1 a few days ago in late November 2024.  once again, same download link but NEW version

^^^ Well, 30 usd for a year ain't too bad, surprised they propose it at all.

...anyway, w10 1809 LTSC goes to January 9, 2029 and nothing to pay.

I too don't have to pay M$ at all if running recent LTSC editions of Win10
currently running Win10 IoT LTSC 2021 21H2 which get updates until Jan. 2032

Hiya, I'm the owner of a GT83VR 7RF, and I installed the driver, which successfully got Nahmic working, but sadly, my headphones and Xtreme Audio DAC ports don't work. I hear the connection being made when it gets plugged in, but sadly, the device doesn't open up any dialogue. There isn't any option for my Xtreme Audio DAC output.

In Realtek audio, the symbol of the headphone jack lights up, saying it's recognized as a connection, but there isn't any option to change the device or make Realtek separate the connections.

My device used to work with Nahmic 3 a long time ago, but support was pulled as it suddenly didn't respond to anything. They never offered Nahmic 3 on MSI's website, only Nahmic 2, but it was listed as a supported device.

I'm not sure what was meant by turning Realtek off and on, as there wasn't a turn on and off button, so I tried restarting it by restarting the Windows audio endpoint and audio server, but it didn't change.

nahimic 3.x support was removed for your laptop model in newer audio driver & nahimic apo driver versions because it either didn't have "proper" support or the support was spotty/buggy/incomplete.

only solidus1983's existing modded Realtek/Nahimic DCH driver versions may provide them but they are not guaranteed to work for the GT83VR 7RF laptop.

Windows 11 version 24H2 is officially released today, and with it, Windows 11 LTSC 2024 which is based on the same.  It has been available to OEMs for a few months now, but not to businesses or through other places like Visual Studio subscriptions.

Win11 LTSC 2024 (both non-iot & IOT) is available thru MVS (MS visual studio subscriptions) likely late afternoon Oct. 1st
