Microsoft removes Windows 11 24H2 official support on 8th 9th 10th Gen Intel CPUs

Microsoft has finally added the official CPU support list for Windows 11 version 24H2, and the company has strangely removed several Intel processors from it.
a "stupid" click bait article from Neowin (and you "fell" for it, Papusan)
THIS Windows Latest article will "dispute" that:
No, Microsoft is NOT dropping Windows 11 support for Intel 8th, 9th, and 10th Gen chips

Microsoft now says not to manually install Windows 11 24H2/Server 2025 MSU updates

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 11 24H2 KB5044284 and KB5046617 can't install future updates. A workaround has been provided.
And of course Microsoft have to offer guides... They know their own trash best.
also mentioned in BleepingComputer
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/windows-11-installation-media-bug-causes-security-update-failures/this one is not an issue for those who obtained updated Windows 24H2 11 ISOs with the December 2024 (KB5048667) or newer update included (at least MVS & VLSC users can get these)
QuoteThe bug does not impact security updates applied via Windows Update or the Microsoft Update Catalog website and does not occur when the latest December 2024 security update is used.

only old versions of Microsoft Store can be installed onto LTSB 2016.
newer versions of MS Store require LTSC 2019 or 2021, or even Win11 LTSC 2024

this is a 7th gen Intel based MSI laptop. if you're not using the modded drivers here, you need to install the 6.0.8967.1 HDA FF03 legacy (non-UAD) audio driver with Nahimic 2.5.36 software.

Hiya, I'm the owner of a GT83VR 7RF, and I installed the driver, which successfully got Nahmic working, but sadly, my headphones and Xtreme Audio DAC ports don't work. I hear the connection being made when it gets plugged in, but sadly, the device doesn't open up any dialogue. There isn't any option for my Xtreme Audio DAC output.
In Realtek audio, the symbol of the headphone jack lights up, saying it's recognized as a connection, but there isn't any option to change the device or make Realtek separate the connections.
My device used to work with Nahmic 3 a long time ago, but support was pulled as it suddenly didn't respond to anything. They never offered Nahmic 3 on MSI's website, only Nahmic 2, but it was listed as a supported device.
I'm not sure what was meant by turning Realtek off and on, as there wasn't a turn on and off button, so I tried restarting it by restarting the Windows audio endpoint and audio server, but it didn't change.
nahimic 3.x support was removed for your laptop model in newer audio driver & nahimic apo driver versions because it either didn't have "proper" support or the support was spotty/buggy/incomplete.
only solidus1983's existing modded Realtek/Nahimic DCH driver versions may provide them but they are not guaranteed to work for the GT83VR 7RF laptop.

Windows 11 version 24H2 is officially released today, and with it, Windows 11 LTSC 2024 which is based on the same. It has been available to OEMs for a few months now, but not to businesses or through other places like Visual Studio subscriptions.
Win11 LTSC 2024 (both non-iot & IOT) is available thru MVS (MS visual studio subscriptions) likely late afternoon Oct. 1st

Hi all, I want to ask when a new version of the Nahimic mod driver will be available. I still have an issue with the date on my Nahimic, and I'm waiting for a new version to resolve this.
since there is no definite timetable as to whether or not the creator of the modded Realtek Nahimic drivers will make new versions because of the OP's current work & study schedules (yup that person is very busy, atm), you'll probably be waiting a very long time before new versions come out. I too also don't know as to when new versions of the OP's modded drivers will be released.=======
time for a new modded audio driver update for autumn 2024.
because MSI has released versions 6.0.9724.1 and 6.0.9735.1 this September 2024.
along with official MSI Nahimic APO4 4.11.6.0 driver w/ A-volute Extension 1.5.51.0 driver from the MSI web site released early September 2024.edit 11/16 - removed link to the 6.0.9735.1 audio driver as it is no longer available from MSI LiveUpdate

{new link to 6.0.9718.1 MSI driver posted on the Corsair web site, in which some Corsair brand PCs use MSI motherboards}MSI has been releasing multiple Realtek Audio driver versions this August like 6.0.9709.1, 6.0.9718.1 and some older versions like 6.0.9661.1 and 6.0.9675.1. surely MSI is picking up the pace with these audio driver releases.
