If you type in 'Close lid' when you press the Windows button, should list in Control Panel and options to do nothing when lid is closed.

I think I am missing some partition drives on C drive, could be the problem not sure how to resolve without wiping everything and starting afresh as I expect the partitions will be auto created. Edit: been recommended to clean install as per Eleven forum.

Hi to owners of the GT77, Have you had issues with the software side? Certain apps don't work properly or they start but not be stable afterwards and I struggle to uninstall. My browsers wouldn't search for example, Chrome/Firefox/Edge and settings hang sometimes! @1610ftw has assisted me with the SSD side but can't enjoy the machine and trying to set stuff up to use it normally. Edit: sorted, used the original SSD as my main drive and now stable.

As it's Spanish model with an EU plug, what UK plug can I get to replace it? Or just use a travel adapter?

MSI pricing is crazy at the moment, that'll probably cost well into 5k mark.

The price is very tempting though, normally over 3k and sometimes over 4k.

Would you guys recommend for roughly £2800 with following specs GT77HX-008ES 64 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 i9-13980HX 2 TB 2 TB SSD?

The latest version I believe is 9.6 which is what I am running now if downgrading fixes it then great. My CPU is 11600k. Edit: finally got it to work by using the command prompt method and restarted now operating as it should.

Has anyone got Throttlestop to work on Windows 11? I have upgraded so to speak and followed guides to disable VBS as suggested from unclewebb but seems to be running still via System Information.

No probs, thank you. The 240hz does seem nicer and brighter and was more expensive than the 165hz so trade off indeed.

I spoke to the IT guy, he gave the serial number to his supplier and thought it was the correct panel but it was actually 240hz one which he didn't know. I don't think the 240hz is supported as it was never listed in the custom list when I bought the laptop.

I sent the laptop to a local IT guy and he replaced my QHD 165hz display to a 240hz one which has fixed the issue but I have lost G-Sync not sure how to get that back. Tried reinstalling Nvidia drivers and Googled that potentially updating the latest Bios (my current BIOS Version/Date INSYDE Corp. 1.07.08RTR1, 04/03/2022) may help but not sure as never updated it on this laptop before.

I was just gaming and wasn't doing anything like moving the laptop around and just noticed some lines as per screenshot. I hope that is the issue via the motherboard and I agree not looking forward to dismantling the display to check a cable.
