Well that did not work on the 7560. I guess my options are to install and run with it or install and roll back. I do not like either of these options. My son says he never clicked anything to upgrade. I read online same has happened to others. I also read one post where someone rolled back and did it again. For now I have updates paused. Does this also pause the MS Defender updates?

So I chose the update on my surface Pro 7. After it was done downloading and installing, I go the option to reboot. I then paused the updates to test if I reboot would the update continue. On a reboot it did not continue with it paused. I went into windows update and clicked resumed updates and then had the option to stay on Windows 10. I chose that and seems it stuck. I can check for updates and it is not pushing Windows 11. I need to check if the same happens on the 7560 when I get home later.

Thanks. I might just let it upgrade to Win 11. My only concern for him is any of his games. He is a college student bout outside of office apps and chrome, he really is using only games. Not many other programs. Does anyone know of there have there been any issues with the upgrade on a 7560 from 10 Pro to 11 Pro? Any driver issues? thanks, Mike

On my son's 7560, I just went to do some win 10 updates. System taskbar says updates are ready to install. I looked in the settings and it says restart to finish updating to Windows 11. I have not updated any of my machines yet to Windows 11 and planned on holding off a while longer. Is there any way to stop the update? On my 7760 I clicked on stay on Windows 10 in the update settings. That is no longer available on his 7560. I guess he must have clicked on the win 11 icon that pops up in the taskbar. thanks for the help.

I have discrete graphics output on so they are on the Nvidia. I have not tried turning that off. It often happens when I am in the middle of typing something so i do not think it is a power setting. On one setup I have tow LG 34" and it is the right one it happens to. On another setup I have a Dell 34" and one LG 34" and it is the LG on the right it happens to. On both setups I have the right set as main display. Not sure if any of that makes a difference. I just cant figure this one out.

I have as 7760 I use with at two locations. One with WDC19DC and the other with WD22TB4. On both, one of the two displays randomly goes black for a second and comes back. It is usually the right one in both setups (maybe coincidence). I have tried DP to DP, USB C to DP and HDMI. I have the latest Dell Nvidia Drivers and Bios is 1.19. Latest firmware on both docks. This has been happening for a while with previous bios. Both setups I also use the Power Brick with along with the dock. Windows Power Manager is set to Best Performance. Dell is set to Optimized. Any ideas?

I have been using the WD19DCS on a 7760 and 7560. I need to get another dock and looking ad the WD22TB4. I have plenty of 240W power Bricks sitting around so do not mind having to plug both into the computer. The WD22TB4 has two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Can these be used as regular USB-C ports as well similar to using the USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 that is on the front of both docks?

Anyone install bios 1.13.0 or 1.14.0? I have my 7760 on 1.12.1, a 7560 still on 1.5.0, and another 7560 on 1.8.0. the 7560 are what the systems came with. I updated my 7760 a few times with no issue. Edit: also is there a way to prevent windows updates to install driver updates. On all three o the systems, windows update has installed drivers to include nvidia display driver update. Luckily I have never had a bios update through windows update but concerned this can happen.

I updated my 7760 bios from the 1.10.1 to 1.12.1. Took just over 5 minutes. I downloaded the bios file and ran it. I also updated the following drivers. Dell Nvidia 30.0.15.1236, A15 which is Nvidia 512.36. Note that Windows update updated to 512.36 automatically a couple of days ago. When windows update updates the Nvidia driver it removes the Nvidia HDMI and USB drivers. I ran the dell EXE and it reinstalled the HDMI and USB. I updated the following from Command Update. Intel AX211/AX210/AX201/AX200/9560/9260/9462/8265/3165 Wi-Fi UWD Driver; Version 22.130.0.5, A25; Release date 06 May 2022 Intel Management Engine Components Installer; Version 2218.2.2.0, A08 Release date 13 Jun 2022 Intel PCIe Ethernet Controller Driver, Version 12.19.2.45, A24, Release date 14 Jun 2022 One item Command Update shows available is Dell ControlVault3 Driver and Firmware, Version 5.8.30.51, A19, Release date 28 Dec 2021 I have not updated this one yet. The fix is: "Fixed the issue where the RFID card cannot be detected after multiple placements and removals on contactless reader." I do not use a card reader. I am concerned it will impact something else on the system. Looking at device manager, my ControlVault firmware is 5.7.20.0

Also try disconnecting from power and hold the power button down for 30 to 60 seconds. I had that fix a no boot issue on a 7710 once. Might have to disconnect the battery too.

What about disabling the drive in the bios. Maybe that will make the system act the same as if there was no drive.

Yes chkdsk. i had a windows issue on my 7760 where I tried to turn off bit locker and could not do anything. Bitlocker stalled at decrypting. I wound up being able to pause the decrypt and delete my files in my Dropbox (unlinked from DB first) and the the decrypt finished. also the boot diagnostic flag an issue with the drive but once decrypted no issues and no errors is the dell diag. probably unrelated to your issue. can you take the drive out and with no drive see of you can boot into bios with no lag issues? Run boot thorough diag again. can system be stuck in a low power mode?

Is the slow boot to the dell logo or from the logo to windows? I have had issues with windows of a slow boot and clearing temp files sped that up. could it also be a drive issue? Have you run check disk? Also an sfc scannow?

I think when I turned hybrid graphics back on, output was still on the NVidia card. All I had to do was install NVidia driver and reinstall. I did not have to uninstall both drivers than install intel and then install NVidia. You may want to uninstall and reinstall NVidia anyway.
