Not what I know of. I expect this is also a bug in combination with new modern AMD hardware. Works mostly with Nvidia cards. But this old bench is quite buggy... Enjoy negative FPS. And of course with AMD hardware😎
HWBOT Unigine heaven running backwards (no joke)

Yep, This is what to expect from todays tech world 🙂

6.6GHz failed but the result is still ok with +6.5GHz. The highest ranked Cpu on water on Pifast leaderboard🙂

Btw. The new modern locked down AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D running 90.0 degrees °C under load at 5093.2MHz with below 130W😆 Not even an Corsair 360mm AIO help much on this 12 core’s disaster.

<To reduce pricing, the motherboards will not support the full range of Ryzen 7000 processors at their full power levels>
Yep, make sure people is forced to buy their more expensive MB. Because it's bad for profits if people try go the cheap route if they want the X (X3D) chips. Great idea 🙂

We have no way of knowing if they have something pending. NVIDIA might be able to make a legitimate case that they only provide this to companies that sell licensed NVIDIA products, and now EVGA no longer is an NVIDIA partner selling licensed products.
Oh'well....

According to that post, SLI requires a key for the firmware and NVIDIA won't provide one to them.
This smells as they could go to lawsuit if they wanted go that route. If one or several MB manufacturers can get the key from Nvidi but not the other they would have a good case. They have nothing to lose dragging nvidia to court. So why they accept it as is, is for me very weird.

Some of this wouldn't be nearly as damning if their warranty options and service quality didn't suck. When you buy a defective piece of crap and it takes them 3 to 6 weeks to make things right it really makes them hard to love. Factor in the free radical cancer like Armory Crate and AURA and it's easy to end up in a not very happy place with them. When everything goes well, it can be an amazing experience if you don't count the nasty software filth.
Maybe because Armory Crate is pure malware and the kiddos (the younger gen Y and Z)
want- must have it for the bling bling, the Asus Mod team only have focus on this cancerware. Asus digging their own grave with all bad changes.-

Yeah, we're right in the middle of sad times for computer tech and gaming. Lots of worthless trash out there.
Yep. Todays post from me is about disgusting....
The problem is significant enough that AMD previously blocked overclocking of the chip entirely and reduced the maximum core voltage from 1.5v down to 1.35v. AMD says the voltage restrictions are due to voltage limitations of the added cache, however, our testing indicates that the limitations almost certainly have something to do with the chip's heat dissipation issues.
Damn fragile V-cashe chips. Forget anything that comes with this tech will be fully unlocked. I really hope Intel don't jump on this tech to boost games performance 2-5%.
Say goodbye to your X3D chips once you hit that voltage button. In other words... Overclocking = Killing me softly can be fun, LOOL
Asus' Pricey, Proprietary Mobile RTX 4090 eGPU Arrives, for $1,999
The GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU has a configurable TGP between 80W and 150W, so consumers get the highest configuration here. Logically, it can't compete with some overclocked GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPUs with a 175W envelope, but that's a story for another day.
In other words, Asus is charging $900 or 82% more for the new version of its proprietary external GPU. On the bright side, there should be ample availability for the ROG XG Mobile 2023 given the price.

The cards with the weaker power delivery have much higher power spikes. They just can't handle the higher power equal good. Flashed from 450W to the 500W vbios from the OC verion of Palit 4090 Gamerock card and the power reached spikes above 660W. Yep, sometimes ou get what you pay for. Cheaper come at a price. Even worse cost cutting than the FE model from Nvidia.
And Buildziod have a breakdown on the more expensive OC verion of Palit 4090 Gamerock card. In short a horrible 4090 graphics card.

That might be a tough one to crack. Even under my SS I think there is still close to a 10C difference between cores.
Isn't it 1 P-core that often run colder than rest of the P-cores? On the new modern AW I see all with boiling temps have one with at least 10C above the rest. But I don't remember if there is the same core that have this on the few I have seen.
Here's the 18 inch modern slim beauty from Dell..... Final conclution from 1:02.20 - Reset bios back to factory settings and send it back to Dell Alienware, LOOL

Luckily OpenRGB will set it so I use that to set the color on boot. Armory Crate will never touch this system.
Same problem with the Strix G18. Any meaningful RGB settings require Armory Crate which is just malware trash for Asus to monetize.
Their slogan is quite spot on.... Armoury-Crate | US | For Those Who Dare - ROG - ASUS
ASUS Armory Crate, the worst software in the industry
If I remember correctly... The settings for Armoury-Crate in bios is toggled to Enabled after very single bios flash. This is just Stupid.
Then you have this. Not sure if Asus still do it the same way. I have never checked. So once again, darn stupid. I would never ever install bloat to get free "paid by Asus" software. Aida64 is a nice software. But I rather pay for it than have to install bloatware to get it.

Microsoft really don't like that you change how their new touch friendly OS disaster should looks like. They thighen the screws more and more.
Windows 11 22H2: Microsoft recommends uninstalling third-party tools before installing KB5023774 / KB5022913
[Update March 29, 2023]: As with the previous optional update in February, Microsoft has renewed the notice that third-party applications such as Explorerpatcher, TranslucentTB or similar tools can cause problems with the current KB5023774 or for Windows 11 22H2 the KB5022913 may come.[Original 03/01/2023]: Yesterday Microsoft released the KB5022913 and with it the “big” Moment 2 update . Due to the changes, especially in the area of the taskbar and the user interface, installed tools such as ExplorerPatcher, Openshell, TranslucentTB and StartAllBack can cause (start) problems. -

They have been waiting a long time to raise the ASP to over 25% and the "inflation" and "chip shortages" gave them the power.
Now, oddly they are ignoring the global recession that we are in. Or perhaps not. Perhaps they know that and are raising the margins to cover the lower number of units sold.
Those record profits from the pandemic made a lot of these companies overvalued in the stock market and they HAVE to keep showing growth. It is all going to topple over.
If they have removed some of the modern garbage bling bling they prefer put all over the board (they use it to attract the kiddos), they could retract the the awful price increase and put prices to before the inflation started raise. And stop put the blame on more expensive manufacturing of vital components as signaling. Greed in combination with stupidity is a main driving factor for where we are today. Remove that fancy aRGB trash + malware software, then focus on quality, useful features and put the prices where they should be. We see the same also happen for etc AIOs. More fancy trash added to the product to push up the prices.
Unhinged Rant About Motherboards...
11:20 - The Wrong Features - Gamers Nexus
13:02 - ASUS MALWARE TANGENT RANT - Gamers Nexus
Edit. I checked different boards for a normal price for my son. Almost none of the boards had debug-code display. Almost all MB costed double the price vs what I and him wanted to pay. So in the end I bougt the Gigabyte Z690 AORUS PRO. 50% of what I had to pay for a Asus board with same features. The damn bling bling push the cost minimum 30% over what it has to cost.

Is this a joke or reality?
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 desktop variant could launch with just 6 GB of VRAM
Nvidia is expected to unveil the GeForce RTX 4050 desktop sometime in June 2023, the leaker adds. While the pitifully low amount of VRAM will prevent it from running many modern-day (and some older) AAA titles at any meaningful framerate/resolution, the performance deficit could be offset by DLSS 3 and the architectural improvements bought forth by Ada Lovelace.
As long as specs are considered, the RTX 4050 desktop could share the GPU specs with the laptop variant (2560 CUDA cores). The leaker also commented on memory specs for this variant. It is reportedly equipped with 6GB memory, just like the laptop SKU. This means a downgrade from the Ampere series...
RTX 3050....
Nvidia isn't the only one that think greed is great.....

I even found a way to unlock UV in bios so prepare for even better numbers.
This is where the difference between an enthusiast will start to show 😃
Cat and mouse game until Dell push out an very needed bios update😎 TCC Offset is here to stay to reduce RMA/support costs. As well throw their customers under the bus if they start to complain about 100C and want tech support to fix it. A genius idea implement this feature in bios. Worth millions for Dell. I hope the software engineer that come up with this great idea got a huge bonus.

Someone accusing Iunlock for scamming him out of $6k:
https://www.overclock.net/threads/scam-alert-iunlock-liquidhz-liquidhz-studios.1805107/
Not the first time. 3 or 4 cases popped up in my PM box in older NBR forum. And it's real. A few was on the hook to take him (Mobius and a few others was after iunlock), but I never got more info.He even skammed Dell and ebay. I was in contact with the screwed ones and they was crying in sadness. They was also very afraid to talk about it and about iunlock in the NBR forum and threads. Remember iunlock was the so called TRIPOD fix King on NBR. And in the later time he only come back to NBR forum for fishing after new customers Hi could screw/scam.
A very nasty business...
And when the TRIPOD fixes failed and they have paid.... He avoided talk with them. Hi had already taken their money....
This was when the TRIPOD mess was as worst with the Alienwares. He sold so called fixed "new" and even used machines. Some of the machines Hi sold was never paid for. And we all know how that went. The buyers was screwed with no working laptops and without warranty. Damn sad case.

Samsung Magician 7.3.0 improves data transfer function
March 27, 2023Briefly informed. There are still a few lovers who use this software. Samsung has updated its Magician software to version 7.3.0 (7.3.0.1100).
Information and Download:
- Samsung Magician works with Samsung SSDs 470, 750, 830-870, 960-990 series as well as T5, T7 and some OEM SSDs.
- samsung.com/Samsung_Magician_7_3_0_Installation_Guide.pdf
- samsung.com/samsungmagician
- Or also from us: Samsung_Magician_Installer_Official_7.3.0.1100.zip (183.87 MB)
Samsung ssd software still support Windows 7 & Windows 8/8.1 (32/64 bit).
And as usual... Microsofts fantastic innovative AV software don't play well with software from their best partners.

A brand to avoid.....'¨'
Inno3D don't accept fixing any problems if the warranty sticker is broken and they went with the cheapest kind of some components, even cut down on components on the +1600$ Nvidia flagship to further cut costs. So tripple bad. Can't be any worse than this.
