That's some seriously flawed logic. Just because a gpu happens to be the best makes it ok to be bent over? 2k just to have bragging rights on the bot? Oh, wait. ..can't have that either, haha. We wonder why prices for gpu's are so high? It's exactly from that type of thinking. Smh

I won't pay for an AMD card that's $600 over priced either, so your argument fails on that as well.

    😎😎😎

My logic... I don't like MSI and below 4090 SKUs is in no man's land (disgusting price vs value). I haven't many options left outside continue play with my old parts. Thats the truth. I have tried 4090 Liquid X and returned it. And I won't re-buy that card evn its cheaper. So my options is quite limited. And I normally don't spend much money on graphics cards. Mostly $10-100 USD. So not so sure the reason for the stupid high prices is due me 🙂

Hogwarts Legacy Benchmark Test & Performance Analysis Review - VRAM Usage Record

    REVIEW GAME TESTING
Hogwarts Legacy lets you relive the steps of Harry Potter and is a fantastic adaptation of the books. In our performance review, we're taking a closer look at image quality, differences between the graphical setting presets, VRAM usage, and performance on a selection of modern graphics cards.

Atmospheric VRAM eater with upsampling fed up

ComputerBase takes a look at performance, image quality, ray tracing and upsampling in Hogwarts Legacy for the PC including benchmarks.

10 GB is no longer enough even without ray tracing in Ultra HD with DLSS at a sufficient frame rate. If the graphics card only has 8 GB, there are already clear signs of wear and tear in WQHD including DLSS, even without ray tracing, and even in Full HD one or the other texture is missing when playing. Ultimately, 8 GB and maximum textures are not possible.

Are we talking about gpu wise. Or that the cpu can't go any higher. If it's the gpu. Then that's kinda on Nvidia. Cpu. Then I'd get it

With a abysmally low max power limits for the whole system, one of the two have to suffer. Feed the GPU with the max allowed 175w and the Cpu has to compete with rest of the hardware (included the screen).

And with some of the new and shiny gamingbooks.... 2x M.2 slots in 18" chassis doesn't make them any better so quite tragic.

Then we have latecy problems.... Not fun cope with your music on the $5000 purchase. Just lovely.

And the fun continue.... Voltage control is locked with both XTU and Throttlestop, but there is an undervolting option in the BIOS that allows for up to a -30 mV undervolt. And I expect the undervolt settings in bios will be a gooner before or later in same way as with the well known Plundervolt patch. Yep, we live in different times now.

MSI is as guilty as any company as it is beyond silly to sell the exact same power envelope as last year as revolutionary. They did not even bother to go with a small increase to let's say 260 or 275W as I can only assume that manufacturers have formed some secret cartel of mediocrity whereby no manufacturer is advertising more than 250W combined for CPU and GPU so that they can all continue to offer their thin and light "behemoths" as the gullible call them.

The result is that now we have 18" screen laptops with a chassis that has less volume than former 15.6" workstations.

Yep, even with a bigger chassis as the big hype... 17,3 now 18" chassis size they couldn't offer a increase in power. And bigger cooling cost money. This is intended... They want you back in the stores fast as hell when next gen crippled models is out. The more castrated... The easyer is it to push you over on next gen Jokebooks.

For sure, the GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 Ti are cool graphics cards, but the value proposition as well as the way the specifications are trending have left some folks wondering what lower-end Ada Lovelace-based GeForce GPUs will look like. Windows 10 has again started displaying a full-screen pop-up that takes up the whole screen (similar to the first boot experience) and attempts to sell Microsoft 365. The pop-up itself isn't new, but there’s a catch – a bug in Windows 11 22H2 prevents users from skipping the Microsoft 365 offer, which means they’re asked to enter credit card details.

The first two chips will arrive on February 28: The 16-core 32-thread 7950X3D at $699 and the 12-core 24-thread Ryzen 9 7900X3D that weighs in at $599. The eight-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 7800X3D arrives on April 6 for $449. This represents anywhere from a $100 to $180 premium over the street pricing for AMD's non-X3D versions of these chips.
