Now? They are losing even more and potentially pricing even worse and they just don't have the mind space of gamers like Nvidia. They have had the opportunity twice now to really price their cards competitively to make in roads but it looks like they are again content to not really attack the low and mid like Intel is doing atm.
I was hoping AMD focused on the mid market and really came out with a banger of a card priced insanely competitively.
AMD don't price their own cards themself. They use Nvidia's prices for own graphics cards. That's disgusting.
And for the records... They know everything about Nvidia's performance estimates for each new tier cards long before they are even mentioned in leaks. We saw that clearly when we saw what they said about 4080 performance for their top tier cards.

I think It’s gonna survive really well considering what it’s up against. The Nvidia feature set is “Pure OG MEGA CHAD best of the best”
The Nvidia GPU‘s typically sell for double the initial MSRP sometimes even more than that. Unfortunately..Nvidia has nothing to worry about.
9070XT $849 (Buy Now In-Stock)5070 $1,100+ (Sold Out)
5070Ti $1,500+ (Sold Out)
5080 $1,800+ (Sold Out)5090 $3,900+ (Sold Out)
Don't be surprised if Nvidia is able to help AIB partners to push out a lots of cards. They know AMD want the low/mid end market. They are preppered for what to come from the Red camp. Nvidia is greedy but not dumb.

If it performs about like a 3090 Ti or 4080 it will be worth that, but it certainly seems like a stupid price based on leaks we have seen. Amazon almost never sells GPUs at correct prices. They are GPU scalpers. If it comes in under $700 I might consider getting one if it performs like a 3090 Ti or 4080. But, we really don't know much and I am not expecting it to be an impressive product apart from having 8-pin connectors.
Slower GDDR6 vs more expensive and faster GDDR7, worse features than 5070Ti for around same or higher price... I can't see this card will survive the launch. Mind you... I mean 5070 Ti have an MSP around $750 (yeah, won't be many Nvidia cards at MSRP),still this downscaled Radeon card shouldn't cost above $650. And I talk about the price for custom OC XT card with all the bells. The MSRP card should cost less. Sub $590 ?
And here is Intel's new strategy... When they can't compete in gaming desktop segment.

With such price point I can't see a future for these Radeon cards. Aka DOA before launch.

Maybe more 4090 users will check their cards now after the 5090 fiasco being put in spotlight. Seems we get a new round with sad pc gamers and melted connectors. The cards can work perfectly fine with melted connectors, so... Grear times forwards for computer repair-shops.

One of my Hardware Lab 480mm radiators leaks. I did a leak test on it, and I can set 0.50 Bar, and that leaks down to 0.25 bar in about 2-3 minutes. Then It leaks down to 0.00 Bar in about 30-45 minutes after that. What a shame. This was a “Clearance Item” sold by PerformancePC’s so clearly I can see why it was on clearance sale (Someone returned it maybe) lol. But I’m not sure how they didn’t catch this.
This radiator would probably work fine in a build without leaking, but you’d be slowly sucking air in to your loop which is really annoying. It would make your pumps noisy, and it would slowly pressurize your system. What a shame..
It’s going back 😎
PS: My other one does not leak.
Yup, QC is a main problem with todays tech. It cost money. And that will hurt max profits.

More nvidia related stuff...
Nvidia have no time for gamers. The profits from gamers is all too low. Better use the supply chainfor the real deal... AI for servers.

Since the 50-series launch has already proven to be a massive failure, they shoud recall all 50-series sold, (which seems to be a very small number globally,) destroy all currently in production and re-launch with only 8-pin connectors. If they want to leave the crappy new connector on the FE card, that's fine because it's the one model that everyone should avoid like a plague anyhow due to its stupid failure-prone design.
A prediction?
Nvidia's RTX 5090 power cables may be doomed to burn
But Corsair's marketing team they go good for their products...
Interesting. 8P cores almost at same max temp as 8P+16E-cores but with 140W less in Y-cruncher.

Double trouble. Roll the dice and see if it's the PSU or GPU side 12+4 pin connector that start melt first, LOOL
And with the newest 3.1 specs you aren't forced to add the tiny 12V-2x6 connector on the PSU panel. Payback time for stupidity....
This seemingly solved the problem, as the warning light disappeared. However, the display resolution and refresh rate dropped and the graphics card switched to PCIe x3 mode. So, they decided to shut down the PC again and reconnect all cables — this was when they discovered that the GPU’s power connector had melted on the PSU side, with the GPU side remaining unaffected.
And the mods on nvidia reddit forum is so fragile. Paid by nvidia? Lets not talk about melted nvidia cables, LOL

After my first foray into using the Cablemod 1.0 adapter that failed with black screens on my 4090 Liquid, I am more than content to use the proper supplied tentacles that puts the entire chain of ownership on the AIB if anything goes wrong. I have zero desire to take a chance purely for the sake of aesthetics.
I rocked the tentacle on my 4090 for almost two years and I'm rocking the tentacle now on my 5080 FE.
I saw the bot watch results of BB drop earlier, and apparently it was the 5090 FE, 5080 FE and the rest were five variations of the Gigabyte 5080 (Windforce OC, Aorus Master Ice, Gaming OC, Aorus Master, Aero SFF OC)
Even with a bot, there are better, faster and quicker bots out there all ready to pounce on those 5090's along with individuals just refreshing and queuing and hoping.
But nowadays/tomorrows Pc users want the aesthetics. In same way as they want more and more bling bling. Double up brother. More is always better. Same as new is always better. Does that mean you also should swap out your "old" wife with a new? Or go double?😁
And here you can see... Double up is always better, LOOL
@tps3443 Maybe this would never happened with "less is more" aka single tiny 12+4 pin connector?

Does this means MODDIY now will use thicker wires than specs or that they used thinner wires than 16-gauge for their custom 12VHPW cables? If it was thinner than 16-gauge wires then they have lured the people to buy trash for their 4090's. Hmmm... Me buy this... Nope.

Hmmm. 5090 up for sale on the used market here at home. Only $5,060.32 USD for the MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio. 13 people have already signed up as interested. This is disgusting. The world is filled with stupid people. Even here home. This is just sad.

Double stupids for the day. I don't talk about cables with double 12+4 pin connector....
Today I found a potential solution to your black screening RTX 50-series graphics card problems. Though you're not going to like it
2nd stupid for the day. Who'm would buy 5070Ti if they are looking for 5090?

Hmmm. With all problems we have seen with 5000 series don't be surprised we will see firmware updates that also will impose castrating max TDP or/and lower voltage target. Nvidia done that with the 4090 Fe if people remember the past with the revision change. Nice, done.
On top.... This won't help on fill the stores with the lacking 5090's. And I'm sure nvidia now is even more keen to keep the 5090 on hold.

My older post about the FE design. And did you remember what I said about double up with those tiny connectors? From der8auer's video you see he mention the PSU side of the cable being even warmer than the GPU side. Yup, with double up of everything you have the tiny trash connector plugged on the PSU panel.
Is double up of everything that's bad, always safer or better than the half? Nope.

I will have to check that. Thanks for the tip. Although it does seem like GPU-Z says Rebar is working. Also its crashing again with a memory management BSOD so I am wondering if use of Gen5 requires more voltage on the rail for mesh overclocking stability...
People with 5090 have problem with PCIe 5.0. Try lower it to gen4.0 and see how it behaves.

Hmmm. The $300 price premium for the oc'd flagship model from Zotac offer less ompa than the cheaper MSRP card from Inno3D. Pay more...Get less. Or maybe the price premium nowadays is more for the bling bling factor? More bling = More expensive?
MSRP card.
