Will still be more expensive. And you get 50% less performance on the table. OEMs and Nvidia rob you. Both your money and the performance. Nice see you still fix flaws/intended crippling. And it's very needed. Because this is darn disgusting. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i7-12700H-Processor-Benchmarks-and-Specs.589170.0.html https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i9-12900HK-Processor-Benchmarks-and-Specs.589165.0.html -

All you need to upgrade for the desktop is graphics cards down the road. With a Jokebook you are stuck with what you have or need to buy a new (no other choices). A new gaming laptop will be more expensive than a new desktop card. The miner race is soon over and Nvidia and AMD will get a new competitor in Intel for graphics cards. Laptops will always be the gold mine (milking cow) for the different OEMs. Just add some Alu in the chassis, make it even thiiner and with RGB lights and they can tune profits in all ways. Lets take coming 4080... Next gen gaming laptops with mentioned cards will be +3000$ and most likely provide 50% less performance vs the desktop cards due the never ending TGP crippling from the laptop manifacturers and nvidia. The desktop cards will get increasesed TGP. See it this way... Laptop graphics will get well under half of the TGP power vs the desktop sibling. Aka from worse to worse for gaming laptops due the hunger for new and more modern Apple look-a-like chassis design. -

This isn't a refresh where you get a small boost at the same price point before the next generation arrives, rather this is what we'd call a "milking." A small performance bump for a big price hike, a hike that sees the MSRP hit $2,000. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Review Techspot.com I'm sure Nvidia wanted see the reactions from reviewers on the new increased power consumption they intend to provide for coming 4000 series graphics cards. Make a new price point early before release for their next gen high end cards will also help Nvidia to adjust MSRP for 4000 series cards. Double win for Nvidia 🙂 -
Thin and slim over anything else.... Yep, laptops is meant for portability and not performance. Hence Razer have started remove cooling fans to increase battery capacity. Next step is most likly to remove another fan for even bigger battery. When will we see next gen slimmer and thinner gaming-laptops with only passive cooling but big fat 99 Wh batteries for on the go? @Ashtrix @Mr. Fox ++++ The Razer Blade 17 suddenly has a bigger battery this year. What's the secret? The latest 2022 model with 12th gen Intel CPUs has dropped one of the fans for a total of "only" three fans as shown by our images below. It's an unannounced update that Razer decided not to market even though it's a change that enthusiasts might have likely wanted to know before purchasing. By removing a fan, however, the chassis can now house a larger 82 Wh battery instead. So, why not remove the third fan for an even larger 99 Wh battery? As you can probably imagine, overall temperatures are generally warmer on the 2022 model when compared to earlier models as detailed in our review especially since the 2022 model utilizes an even more power-hungry 165 W GPU. Razer probably weighed the benefits and disadvantages of removing the third fan and found that the gains in battery life wouldn't have offset the increases in temperature or even potential decrease in performance.

The 3090 Ti use all vRam chips on top of the cards now. The proper way to cool the vram. Double capacity chips has its advantage. The vram below the cards on the 3090 reminds me all too much about Dell's failure with the Gpu power delivery put below the card with passive cooling on the Area51m fiasco. I know the smaller capacity vram chips for 3090 needed that space on the pcb, but this is not optimal for cooling. Hence wee see up to 110C and boiling vram especially on Dell AW's proprietary 3090 graphics cards. -

Next one one the cut list will be 3DM Fire Strike. Why not add all EOL benchmarks into one of the download packages? They still offer Ice Storm. Just let people download the installer they want. The public intaller they offer links to on different download pages can be the crippled one. Want full package then go into your account and pick the one you want. How difficult has it to be? -

You need older drivers on older cards. Newer drivers from Nvidia is a fiasco. Why can't nvidia do the same as AMD? Do they really hate that you keep your older cards?🤔 Can't run Time Spy Extreme because of the vRam cap. I look at you Nvidia. You castrated your so called 4K gaming flagship card with 10GB vram (3080@10GB cards). Put vRam right around the minimum limits is never a good thing. Neither is greed. https://hwbot.org/submission/4964636_papusan_3dmark___time_spy_geforce_gtx_760_(256bit)_2359_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/4964611_papusan_3dmark___cloud_gate_geforce_gtx_760_(256bit)_43782_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/4964615_papusan_3dmark___sky_diver_geforce_gtx_760_(256bit)_27615_marks https://hwbot.org/submission/4964617_papusan_3dmark___fire_strike_geforce_gtx_760_(256bit)_7467_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/4964634_papusan_3dmark___fire_strike_extreme_geforce_gtx_760_(256bit)_3601_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/4964724_papusan_3dmark05_geforce_gtx_760_(256bit)_79616_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/4964723_papusan_3dmark11___extreme_geforce_gtx_760_(256bit)_3672_marks?recalculate=true -

We need better AIO solutions than we get now. But the thin and slim desktop chassis design trend is here to stay and will stop the OEM from making high performance AIO cooling. Not only laptops get special threatment from the different OEMs. The same rules/trends applies also for desktops nowadays. Why Small Form Factor PC is Becoming More Popular What's Hot MSI's air-cooled RTX 3090 Ti > ASUS's water-cooled RTX 3090 Ti: I was seeing more consistency in MSI's overclocked GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X beating the water-cooled ASUS ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 3090 Ti OC Edition, but I'll dive into more detail in a showdown between the custom RTX 3090 Ti cards after I'm done running the overclocked ASUS through its paces. For now, the MSI is out in the lead without a doubt. Read more: https://www.tweaktown.com/articles/10076/msi-geforce-rtx-3090-ti-suprim-overclocking-oc/index.html One thing for sure. There will be a bigger performance gap between laptop graphics and desktop graphics in the future. Desktops get a nice TDP increase while laptops will be more and more hampered by the thin and slimy chassis design. Want max TDP out of the graphics in laptops then cripple the Cpu. Firmware, HW and software will be used for whats worth. Dynamic boost is a nasty way to cripple products. -

Yep, the modern 8 baby cores can provide around 36% performance increase on top of the 8 P-cores for 12900K. If Intel have pushed out an real 16 cores chips same as AMD, I would seen 17724 points in CBR20. A reminder what Intel could have done if they scrapped the the cost cutting. https://hwbot.org/submission/4964084_papusan_cinebench___r20_core_i9_12900k_(8p)_8862_cb?recalculate=true Friday here. Enjoy😀 The article from deskmodder is from March 30 and not April 1th 2022 "The problem ONLY affects the Ryzen 5xxx in connection with an RDNA2 card" The AMD graphics card drivers can change CPU settings in the UEFI March 30, 2022 6:46 p.m 7 comments I stumbled across this fact when I had installed the Adrenalin 22.3.1, as always wanted to load my UV (Undervolt) profile for the 6800XT and the computer promptly asked for a restart. That was new, it wasn't like that before. -
Windows 11 growth reportedly stalled in March 2022 Taras Buria · 11 hours ago According to the latest data from Adduplex, Windows 11 had a hard time gaining more users in March 2022. Adduplex claims Windows 11 currently holds a 19.4% share with no notable changes. This can't only be because of their new and more restrict HW requirements for Win 11. Edit. Windows 11 gamers will be glad to see the back of this nasty BSoD bug

See my post below. Fits as hands in gloves. And its intended so people can see if you post correct scores😞 Pretty Ugly if you ask me. And the ugly red color with the ugly Asus marketing doesn't make it any better. Only worse. And newer has to be better. Isn't it?😮 Hence you can't see HW temperatures as you could see in older Benchmate versions. https://hwbot.org/submission/4962610_papusan_cinebench___r20_core_i9_12900k_12102_cb?recalculate=true This one is for you bro @ryan This is double the cores vs your i7-11800H. And half of them is wimpy small lower clocked E-cores. The result could have been a hell lot better if Intel didn't cripple the newer chips with 50% power efficient Junk cores made for the new modern Jokebooks. https://hwbot.org/submission/4962620_papusan_cinebench___r15_core_i9_12900k_4780_cb?recalculate=true -
Microsoft try hard as they can to make Win 11 worse as desktop OS. The future is a real OS for tablets/2 in 1 lap-jokes. Todays new Joke from Redmond HQ @Mr. Fox @Ashtrix Windows 11: Microsoft may be planning to remove another minor taskbar feature windowslatest.com For those unaware, Microsoft recently started testing a tablet-optimized taskbar with two states: collapsed and expanded. The plan is to reduce the clutter (temporarily remove certain features from the taskbar) when the system detects your device as a ‘tablet’, so the taskbar can be easily used with touch. However, there’s a catch – Microsoft is also removing features from the desktop version of the taskbar to optimize it for tablets. In Build 22563 or newer, it is no longer possible to reorder or drag and drop icons within the system tray. I wonder what works perfectly fine in the latest and greatest. Nvidia prepare for 4000 series graphics cards. As you know... The 3000 series cards will be produced and sold together with coming 4000 series cards. MSRP for their upper high end gaming cards will finally going up from 1499$ and now end at 1999$ for their top cards. Why not just use the 2K price tag? I expect 1999$ looks much cheaper than 2000$ 🙂 Yep, 500$ for 2.5% more of the cores. Or 25% price premium. Yep, we talk about the reference models price point directly out from Nvidia. This will be the cheapest 3090 Ti you can get. And this isn't scalpers prices or jacked up by miners. The real MSRP. Haswell is an 4 core chips. Cut your score in half and compare then see the progress. On top it use loads more power vs an low end mobile chips from 2013. Imagine you reducing power down to 50w vs what it runs for that score. -

Not so sure about that. The 11800H have double the cores vs Haswell mobile and on top 8th gen newer chips. 2.4 times the performance with double the cores. Rather say it’s a failure! -

Maybe try an older XTU version for the BCLK clocks. Remember the old Haswel low end mobile chips could be a bit flaky with high BCLK ratio. And be sure you know how to reset NVRAM if XTU screw up for you with a no post. A countless amount people needed a new MB because Dell screwed up their last normal AW laptops (made it more difficult then normal for clearing NVRAM). If I remeber correctly I used voltage overide and not adaptive voltage. And with the Mx chips you didn't have to rely on increased BCLK clocks. Long time since so I can't remember everything correctly. Have fun 🙂
