This is one of many things why I buy MB etc from known retail stores here home and not those Norwegian webstores that sell it a few bucks cheaper because they have parallel import from abroad (offer all taxes included). None of their items/parts/repair is located here in Norway. So it's much easier to deal with a real webstore with good reputation. And this is why I don't want buy similar items from other countries webstores or even from EVGA abroud. I would be without my new and shiny at least a couple of months each time something breaks. That would sucks. But I'm sure you find your way out of this mess. Sad when it happens, but who know... You could have been lucky and everything have worked first time. Good luck bro John. OEMs can keep overheating at bay with firmware, drivers and software. 100C for Cpu and +80C for the GPU is just fine. Just ask an Dell HW engineer. Throttling due overheating is an feature and not a bug. Features like Dynamic boost 2.0/AMD's SmartShift technology will help the OEM to further to reach their goal and achieve Apple's modern laptop chassis design. Push you over on newer laptops before time as etc offer untapped performance due their crippling is a smart move to increase/keep up the profits. Features as mentioned above is the OEMS golden ticket to try compete with Apple regarding tomorrows laptop design. Design over functionality will always cater to the average Joe. Be happy you don't have to pay Gas prices we have in Norway. We are a big oil nation but have one of the most ugly prices for Gas in the world. U.S. Gas prices is also topic here home now. Maybe to justify even higher prices in the coming months. https://finansavisen-no.translate.goog/nyheter/bil/2022/05/10/7864050/bensinpriser-stiger-til-ny-rekord-igjen?_x_tr_sl=no&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We will see more refined throttling algorithms and an even harder working dynamic boost feature that let the GPU or the Cpu have first priority on cooling. https://hothardware.com/news/intel-12th-gen-alder-lake-hx-cpus-more-cores-features And we may see new ways to differenciate the OEMS. Up to the different OEM what features they will offer. The HX chips come with an castrated iGPU so now they can charge more for the lap-jokes for those that don't want pay premium for their ARC Gpu. Maybe they also can stop people from fiddeling with an eGPU? https://www.anandtech.com/show/17376/intel-launches-alder-lake-hx-series-processors-for-highend-laptops#:~:text=Thunderbolt 4 support is not baked into this platform%3B like its desktop counterpart%2C Thunderbolt is an optional feature here. Adding Thunderbolt requires using a discrete controller (up to two)%2C so it will be left up to laptop vendors to implement their own configurations and designs. Edit: PS. The HX series ain't as the best option for gaming. Probably because the new Cpu's will clock down lower than the HK chips due the more cores and the higher power consumption. The amazing Dynamic boost feature that "share the power/cooling budget between Cpu and Gpu) easly killed this new chips as an better gaming chips. Intel's Alder Lake-HX CPUs are official, with support for PCIe 5.0, DDR5, and overclocking The company also provided a quick overview of gaming performance. For now, we'll have to take Intel's word for it, but it doesn't look like the new CPU series will disappoint. However, the company did note that H-series Alder Lake CPUs will remain the fastest mobile processors for gaming for a while yet, so in terms of performance-per-dollar, you may want to opt for a laptop with Alder Lake-H. Btw. The forum is very sluggish and slow. And something has to be done with easier edit the posts. Same also for adding more quotes in same posts afterwards. Not sure what I do wrong but couldn't easy put the post about the new sick BGA opton under Tenoroo quote. Hence it is put under bro Fox reply. -

I expect he would put in Win 11 over 10 if the article was from today.... Not so sure he could imagine that Microsoft would go even further and release something even worse. BTW, Win 11 is mainly created and designed around tablets and 2 in 1 touch-books. Built from (on top of) Windows 10x. Windows 10 & 8 Worst OS EVER Been made from Microsoft............ -

The only difference between Win 11 and Win 8.1 is that the older OS is usable for 2 or 3 benchmarks. There is nothing to gain from Win 11. Not so sure Win 11 is so much better out of the box🙃 But thanks for the answer. This reminds me a lot about another company's VP. Dell Alienware also went for a woman. Isn't it cute? Microsoft will start offer a worse product than its rival Apple. Who could imagine that this would happen a few years ago? Apple offer different OS depending on what HW you have. Microsoft don't bother with that (One fits all). And now they will force you to use their Microsoft account if you want to use their newest OS. Apple offer an bad package, but M$ sailing up as equal now. Sometimes even worse! From the article... "This is an industry-wide trend. For example, Google has always forced Google accounts on Android phones with Play services. On Apple products, the process isn’t mandatory and it is possible to set up your iPhone without creating an Apple ID, but certain apps or services like App Store may not work properly. And be you sure.... Micorsoft will plug the loophole in the registry where you can circumvent the obligatory M$ account when you install your new and shiny touch friendly OS. They hhave removed needed reg keys before. And they will continue thighen the screw. For those of you that are Win 11 (Microsoft) fanboys. Maybe you all should run out and buy the new and shiny box? Cute pictures? Microsoft have even printed on their most ugly OS wallpapers images ever on the retail box. Windows 11 now comes in physical retail boxes too neowin.com https://www.neowin.net/news/windows-11-now-comes-in-physical-retail-boxes-too/ Maybe the EU lawmakers will put an nail in the death coffin for this sickness. The U.S. Government and regulation authorities is pretty toothless and can't see how bad their biggest tech companies has become. EU will enforce the Digital Markets Act in Spring 2023 and it could allow iOS users to install apps from third-party sources The European Union will enforce the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in 2023, and this could have a huge impact on Big Tech companies such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta (Facebook). Among other things, the law is expected to allow iOS users to install apps from third-party sources.

Double click on the big monitoring grid box on right. Then you'll see all the cores maximum temp and not half of them. If you only look into the tab without scrolling down or double click then you won't see the whole pict. Take also a look into the small box where you should see max temp reached. Does someone know if there is an IMEI driver with Win 8.1 support that works with Z690? And it seems it's easier find working drivers for the older Win 7 for the new HW. Same also for graphics drivers for old EOL graphics cards. AMD you have failed. Bruh, Win 11 ain't an option. Its a disaster. This tablet optimized touch OS will only be worse. Remember Microsoft try to match their newest tablet OS with their Surface-books. Exactly as Apple do with their iPad's (tablet). The only difference is that Apple is able to offer 3 different OS depending if you have an smartphone, tablet or Mac Jokebooks. Microsoft want it unisex and prefer only a single OS, and that is mainly meant for tablets, Mini-Jokes and 2 in 1. Win 11 isn't meant for desktops. Hence a huge failure. Go with a dual/tripple boot as bro @Mr. Foxsaid. And I do the same. With Win 11 you'll never know what they will change or add in before its too late. Minor changes will come several times a year in a patch update. A ticking bomb. “With the updates we made for the new tablet-optimized taskbar in Build 22563, we’re no longer supporting dragging icons in the system tray or between the system tray and the show hidden icons flyout,” a Microsoft official noted in the Feedback Hub. Officials later clarified that the change was indeed made for the tablet-optimized taskbar in Windows 11, but it also affects the desktop UX since the OS currently doesn’t come with a dedicated tablet mode. https://www.windowslatest.com/2022/05/06/microsoft-backtracks-on-windows-11s-unwanted-taskbar-changes/

Day included night have 24 hours. In works is normally 7,5-8 hours. And you really don't need more than 4-7 hours sleep. Spend rest of the time on what you want. Some prefer use their freetime on tv, some sit on a coffe shop, some on the pub/bar and some with fam (you can include a lot self time within that time). And a lot in between. A single bench is from 3 sec to 1/2 an hour. How much time you want to spend on it, depends on the individuals. None is equal. As I always say... The day have all too few hours... Same for the living life. Spend them on what you like. And time is freshware... When you look on your watch then you'll see the seconds ticking away and all that time you have watched "will you never ever see again". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why Corsair Users Should Install iCUE If you own any Corsair devices or peripherals, then you should absolutely install iCUE. I already live in a Snow Hell. 3 weeks forwards and we are in the first Summer months. And the cold, snow and wind will come back in October and last until same time next year (2023). Yep, I'm used to to freeze and Hell, so for me... No in Hell, I want this installed. Free or not doesn't matter. More bling bling and more software. Can't beat that combo. And the v2 refresh cost as usual a lot more than its predecessor. With all sorts of RGB lights in the chassis... Are people still able to see what HW they have in there? For me it would be the same as see right into the sun. Probably even worse because of all of the shifting fancy pastel colors and blink blink all day/night, LOOL Maybe they used thinner wire gauge to make the power cables looks prettier? Only god knows (but they state it will make the cables more flexible - another way to tell its of lower quality) . Form/design over function is the wrong way to go. AMD's driver team is morons or pure Stupid. Why not list the driver as Non-WHQL in the driver name in the driver link? None will know if they have added a valid driver or not in the Radeon package. Yep, a disgusing lottery. Btw. this one below is valid on Futuremark. But you won't know before you have downloaded and tested it or check if other got a valid score from it. How Stupid. Every damn, driver from AMD is a lottery for benching. Yooo like it stupid bro @Mr. Fox? Is stupid the new normal/norm nowadays?🤔 Btw. And if you crash in a bench run the AMD driver won't recover fully (but still works). It will be bugged until you re-boot Windows. This never happen with Nvidia drivers. Or they struggle hard to find the correct MSRP😁 GPU prices is in change so thats, that. They are already too late for the party. Expect nvidia to speed up release of 4000 graphics. Not fun being the company that offer +2000$ cards that still won't come above second or last in benchmarks. nvidia offer a lot of new modern features but fail in benchmarks. And they fail in the MSRP race as well. Whats the point with Intel's new graphics if the prices is wrong for what you'll get/or put perverse? (a few months forwards and this cards can't compete at all). Intel's upcoming Arc Alchemist GPUs may be more expensive than AMD and Nvidia's According to a new report, those of you looking towards Arc for some GPU market disruption may be in for a disappointment as Intel is allegedly not pricing its GPUs any cheaper than Nvidia or AMD. -

Nvidia was right on target. Loads of drivers from AMD won't be approved by Futurmark for their leaderboard. It's a huge lottery. AMD is filled of Beta drivers. And many of their drivers suck up Cpu clock cycles (second lottery). I won't buy anything from the Red camp. Nope.... Not me. Damn, every second graphics drivers from AMD is in Beta and can't or won't be approved on 3DM leaderboard. Does AMD have a huge software problem? I needed install 3 different drivers to get an valid score. https://hwbot.org/submission/4989604_papusan_3dmark___cloud_gate_radeon_hd_7970_50409_marks And her you see AMD release a new Joke. Barely an increase in max TDP for their new top dog cards. Afraid that the silicon can’t handle it? https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-radeon-rx-6950xt-to-feature-335w-tbp-18gbps-memory-rx-6750xt-6650xt-get-20w-boost The rumors about RX 6950XT shipping with 350W power were untrue, instead the card will have 335W TBP, which is 35W over the RX 6900XT model and 5W higher than 6900XT Liquid Edition. This means that board partners should have no problem adopting their high-end triple-fan as well as liquid-cooled series for the new model. And expect similar for their next gen graphics. It seems AMD prefer lowest possible power both for their graphics and processors. I'm looking for some cooling options. Anyone that have an experience with the Custom water kit below? If this is an viable option (I mean this can be found here home) then I will add in an second 480mm rad in front. I will re-use all my 3000 rpm fans for push/pull. Aka 1x420 in top and 1x480mm in front for the Cpu. The second row in front of the chassis (480mm) will be for an GPU rad when that time comes. Pick parts here and there ain't an option here home. Thanks. I prefer have a free place aviable for an 360/480mm rad in front as intake for the Gpu. Hence I go for this setup. The Cpu and Gpu will have own water loop and won't be connected together. Microsoft Defender apparently causing high memory usage issue, black screen, and more Sayan Sen · 15 hours ago Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is apparently causing several issues for clients on Windows 10 20H2 systems. These issues include very high memory usage bug, black screen on boot up, and more. The high memory usage by Defender's "Antimalware Service Executable" process (MsMpEng.exe) is a quite common bug and sometimes a temporary workaround to reduce the memory consumption is to disable the Real-time Protection. Yep, what did you expect from the Redmond based company? A flawless experience? This just follow same pattern as their newest OS. Will be in beta forever.

Be happy Nvidia killed Sli and 4 way cards setup for gaming. 4 of Nvidia's 3090 Ti K|ngP|n would be more like 10K. You got a very good deal from Fry's. Wish it was today, LOOL Have spent +5 hours on Win 11 on the new system. One of my worst ideas to date. The experience was awful/dreadful. Both for benchmarks, the estetics, lack of features and a disgusting (G)UI. I will with this never ever again install Win 11 on my system. And God bless that I have a Macrium backup of Win 10 2019 LTSC and 2021 LTSC. Within 3 min I'm back to the good and well known harbor. Win 7 is on an own disk as a good companjon.
