LOOL Asus couldn't wait on Intel's fix. For the first time in very long time Asus offerd proper realased notes for this bios version, so the tech websites and the gamers could see that Asus take responsibility. Brand damaging can be expensive. Hmmm. Maybe Intel push the crash problem under the carpet now. They have probably forced the MB manufacturers to take the easiest step to reduce the crash problem. ASUS Releases BIOS Update for Enhanced Game Stability on Intel 13th and 14th Gen Processors Published 4 hours ago by Hilbert Hagedoorn 0 ASUS has introduced a BIOS update designed to address game stability issues observed in Intel’s 13th and 14th generation processors. This update aims to rectify instabilities such as system crashes experienced during gameplay on various popular video games, including "Tekken 8," "Battlefield 2042," "Remnant 2," "Fortnite," "Lord of the Fallen," "Hogwarts Legacy," and "The Finals." These issues were noted even on systems with adequate memory and video memory, where players encountered error messages about insufficient memory. The stability problems have been linked to the BIOS settings, as well as the high clock frequencies and power consumption of Intel processors, which can lead to unexpected system behavior under heavy loads like gaming. In response to these challenges, motherboard manufacturers like ASUS and MSI, as well as PC builders such as Falcon Northwest, have developed solutions that mitigate these issues but may involve trade-offs. -

The click doesn't always work. Buildzoid struggle with his tweaked EVGA GTX970. Yup, EVGA also went cheapo with this card. Exactly as they did with their GTX760. And here you see he look into my score with my GTX970🙂 HWBOT x265 Benchmark with 4K preset is quite harsh and have killed some older gen Cpu's in its lifespan. There is people that want to cram in +4080 and i9 in the small cute Mini-boxes. They are very popular because of the small size. Often they have only 240 or 280mm AIO. That won't function properly with the unlocked Cpu's. See also here.... Intel Core i9-14900KS Review It was in our first real performance test, with Maxon's Cinebench R23, that some problems started to emerge. On the tests with the 240mm cooler, the Core i9-14900KS doesn’t lack a multi-threaded score in the chart below by mistake, but because the system repeatedly crashed while trying to run this test. As this demanding test (which pushes all available cores) wore on, the processor reached 100 degrees C, its thermal limit, at which point a processor should throttle itself back to avoid overheating. In short... The Cpu does not react fast enough to throttle down the clock and voltage. It will instead crash because the heat come too fast. Heat problems has to be one of the main reason for all reported crashes. You get what you asked for. And regarding air coolers. They are still in majority. So I expect many use Tower aircloolers for their unlocked 13 and 14th gen chips. And everyone want that 6.0GHz boost on two cores. The bragging factor having worlds fastest in their blinking small cute trash-boxes trumps common sense. Air cooler VS AIO, What's the answer? : r/buildapc Buy $400 cpu and cut performance in half : r/sffpc When people see such videos they think aircoolers is the only way to go. Edit. See also results from the Tower air cooler. On level with AIOs not made for the new Intel processors. In short... I expect many still use their old AIOs for the new gen Intel processors. Aka they run hotter than needed. Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO Review -

The winter is soon gone. We can still expect snow coming on and of the next 30 days. After May 17 we can expect that the winter is gone and no more snow. 12C today when the weather is shiny (sunny day). The Little thief enjoy the last bit of snow 🙂 And here you can see the first flowers popping up from the ground. We call it Leirfivel here at home (Hestehov). It is the first sign that winter is turning into summer. Because the spring here home is more like a warmer version of winter. Only May can be called real spring month. April can be from minus 5C and up to 15C. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tussilago With all trash bin from Intel and with not the best cooling and run the chips at stock MB settings no wonder people get problems. All this is on Intel and the MB makers. Even noobs should be able to run their processors at somewhat stock settings without crashes. The Cpu shouldn't crash because you increase power limits and amps with stock boost from the chips. Remember Cpu's run 100C all times in Jokebooks. No chips shoud crash with default boost clocks. -

What a fix, LOOL For those chips, the adjustment to get them running is to down clock the P-core multiplier to 50, which reduces the chips maximum clock speed to 5GHz–a fairly major reduction. While that’s not much of a salve, it does at least get those systems up and running. PC maker offers a potential fix for crashing Intel CPUs While Intel continues to investigate sporadic stability issues with its 14th gen and 13th gen, famed PC maker Falcon Northwest is offering stopgap advice for some. -

On top he think he is the tech guru and try put down people thats not agree. Even if they know 100% they are correct. And if he is agree... He always said I have told you the same before. Because only me know. I know everything, LOOL You only confirm what he said. Hmm. The world is filled with weirdos @Rage Set -

Very sad if someone spread wrong info. Why would you post Gpu chips power draw info when you try measure the total board power? If they say 4090 never will reach 500W in bench/games, then they don't understand how it works. In Nvidia's specs they talk about board power (incl the fans and bling bling lights). Not the Gpu die power. Nvidia have also a Power primer... https://www.nvidia.com/content/dam/en-zz/Solutions/GeForce/technologies/frameview/Power_Primer.pdf I hate YouTube as concept. It's just disgusting. -

I have replied a few post on his channel. But it seems he don't want proper info. He rather prefer post wrong info and delete posts from people that's not agree with him. Is that cool bro @Mr. Fox? Could also be YouTube... People complain about normal comments being auto deleted after a short time. And that you can't post links in the comment section is awful. The tech trend continue rolling. Disgusting. -
Microsoft have always let you tweak how you want your Windows OS. Not so much anymore. They speed up so you can't change how your OS should looks like. Soon there is no difference between Apple OS and Windows. The future looks grim bro @Mr. Fox. Expect they will make changes in the core OS or kernel so you can't do much than accept how Microsoft want how their OS should looks like. Disgusting? Microsoft is the new Apple!

New/newer is always better bro @ryan Right? Why can't I see it in the same way as many others? Maybe I'm blind or too smart? AORUS Z790 beta firmware with Intel APO causes BIOS freezing https://videocardz.com/newz/aorus-z790-beta-firmware-with-intel-apo-causes-bios-freezing Users who upgraded their Z790 motherboards with the newest BIOS thinking they would get two important features are not happy anymore. The latest beta BIOS was supposed to support the Core i9-14900KS processor and enable Intel APO support. The new firmware contains a bug that may cause the BIOS to freeze. The UI may freeze after a period of time or when changing tabs. This renders the BIOS unusable for many users, and it seems to affect not just one motherboard but all boards that were recently updated. See also.... Aorus/Gigabyte treat their desktop in same way as with Jokebooks with BGA hardware. Asus is a awful company but the competitors ain't much better. This is just equal disgusting as this company. Media reports have also highlighted another issue: the lack of support for the 14900KS CPU on older Z690 motherboards. Gigabyte has not released a BIOS update for the older chipset that would support this CPU. In this case, affected users should be relieved that they didn’t update the BIOS right away, but only because Gigabyte hasn’t released any updates. 3rd disgusting for the day... Anyone remembered Cablemod reps on reddit replied in every thread with melted adapters and graphics cards before the recall? Not so much anymore... You are soon on your own. "Screwed" has to be today's word. For the pict jockey @electrosoft😀 I walk several trips every day with my dog to keep my health in check so it doesn't get worse. This is the payback... I needed new good shoes. And exactly the same model as before. Viking made for Norwegians. Only $210 USD. These new one will serve me well the next two years. Why change when you know the old trusty model works? I use the same philosophy (“If it ain't broke, don't fix it”) for shoes as for firmware/bios and OS bro @Mr. Fox These hiking shoes is damn good for my feets. Newer models doesnt always mean better. And this is true in much of life @Rage Set🙂 Great that some companies keep their models unchanged over the years. Classic or good products do not need to be changed. The same as a wheel... You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Yup, the old ones is well used until they collapsed.... @electrosoft Viking don't offer 100% all black for this model. You are doing it wrong bro Fox. Send your pc over to the stupid below and he will help you for free🤣 But please ask him to oc the E-cores. In short... He tried go for 6.0GHz but failed. And this with E-cores at stock clocks, JEDEC, custom cooling (DD) and 94C with his dialed/tuned in Cpu. Then see his video bashing Jufes below. Youtube channel name is John D. Does it stands for John Dumb?😕 LOOOOL. Jufes at FrameChasers like to bash the other tech Tubers. Here's one that go to opposite way and bash Rufes himself, HaHa But stupidity is the new normal. He here didn't understand the meaning with the video from Rufes. Testing the Cpu with stock config. No one talked about tuning in the Cpu to be able to use the AIO coolers. Hmmm....... What a bashing contest YouTube has become. Not sure who's worse than the other on YouTube. Better say they all are equal good or 0-0 😂 -

Nice. More hybrid tech trash that will halfway fail and on top will offer higher latency. Remember the feature APO Intel introduced for 14th gen for a very few games? Intel and Microsoft in coparation can't even make the scheduler work correct in the OS. Hmm, this doesn't look very promising🤮🤮🤮 But probably good enough for Jokeboks to reduce the power consumption and boost burst performance on a couple of cores for brief moments. And we all know Microsoft play with the power scheme for hybrid processors in their latest and flawed Windows. To match own low power Junk. In short... Not sure 15th gen hybrid mess will be much better than the trashbin Intel offered for the end of socket 1700. The 14th gen KS should've never have been launched. Bin it 1.5v for the two cores to be able to spike to 6.2GHz for burst loads is just embarrassing. Here's delidded KS junk from Intel running 100C stock with 360mm AIO's. The 14h KS should never have seen the light. Just a money grab over the vanilla K. -

Stupidity and greed goes hand in hand☹️ Here's why Apple thinks 8GB of RAM is enough in its latest Macs https://www.tweaktown.com/news/97558/heres-why-apple-thinks-8gb-of-ram-is-enough-in-its-latest-macs/index.html Apple has now suggested that there is a very good reason these Macs come with just 8GB of RAM - that's all that people really need. Mac marketing executive Evan Buyze argued that the entry-level 8GB of RAM in iMacs and MacBook Airs is plenty for most tasks and most users. -

Intel may bet on removing HT from their next gen processors aka going from 32 down to 24 threads for their flagship mainstream hybrid processors. Aka maxing out at 8P and 16E-cores. Amd on the other hand seems to increase core counts from 16 to 32 cores. Hmm, I hope Intel really know what they're doing. It will be a ugly mess if Intel going backwards into the future. It will be all too late fix this if they doing the same as they did with 12th up to 13th gen going (from 24 up to 32 threads with more E-cores) the year after. But heey, Intel will offer e LP-cores (or more precisely, the low-power island in the SoC tile). Do you like stupidity @Mr. Fox? A huge flood of new low powered baby cores that will come in two variants isn't exactly tempting🤮🤢🤮 Intel still need the damn E-cores because they want being the clock speed king for the measly 8 P-cores in games/web surfing. Adding more p-cores will only shoot the power consumption through the roof. Hence Intel still need loads of low power baby cores to boost the multi threaded performance to try compete. The most noteworthy addition from Zen 5 leaks is that AMD purportedly doubled the CCD core count from 16 to 32. If this is true, it will represent the first core-count improvement since Zen 2 and means we could see 32-core Zen 5 CPUs on the AM5 platform. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/vendor-readies-amd-motherboards-for-zen-5-cpus Intel Core Ultra “Arrow Lake” desktop CPUs with 20 and 24 cores spotted with no hyperthreading https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-core-ultra-arrow-lake-desktop-cpus-with-20-and-24-cores-spotted-with-no-hyperthreading MSI confirms new AGESA supports next-gen AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs https://videocardz.com/newz/msi-confirms-new-agesa-supports-next-gen-amd-ryzen-9000-cpus
