The blue rabbit has come out from the hole. But not official. The MB manufacturers and Microsoft is to blame for the Cpu crashes. Do not use etc... Windows Ultimate Performance mode in the OS. Is this meant as a joke? They don't like other power profiles than balanced for Jokebooks? Hmmm, maybe Intel will ask Microsoft kindly to remove any reg keys/or options that allow High performance power plans being enabled in the OS. Wouldn't that be nice?🤮🤢🤮 Intel releases “13th and 14th Generation K SKU Processor Instability Issue Update” https://www.igorslab.de/intel-veroeffentlicht-das-13th-and-14th-generation-k-sku-processor-instability-issue-update/ -

Probably from tuned AC/DC values that match their test sample. In short random numbers they found appropriate or from their old documents before Intel nailed the specs for 12th gen. But it seems Gigabytes fix for the crashes (still in minority vs sold processors) is the worst from them all. Can't fix stupid. Add PL1 at 125W is just dumb. The closest I could find the random number 188W is from an older article from Igors lab. https://www.igorslab.de/en/power-consumption-and-load-peaks-intels-coming-alder-lake-s-and-raptor-lake-s-cpus-in-comparison-exclusively/3/ The world is very small bro @Meaker🙂 Yes, bro Fox. I won't apply it. You don't grab many boints or trophies with heavly castrated tools. Gigabyte want that you run your overpriced 13900K(KS) worse than any i7-13700K. That's perverse. Gigabyte Z790 “Intel Baseline” profile puts Core i9-13900KF (QS) CPU into Core i7 tier Nice. They all cripple the i9 processors now to stop the Cpu crashing due Intel trash binning. This time it's Gigabyte. April 26th, 2024 –GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and hardware solutions, released the latest beta BIOS with Intel Baseline feature on Z790, B760 series motherboards for enhanced stability, regarding the feedback from Intel that high power consumption settings may cause system instability with 13/14th generation CPUs. High Power consumption come from all too high voltage fused into the chips to meat targeted max clock speed = Trash binned chips. I expect Intel will be very tight lipped now, as they seeing the MB manufacturers cripple the i9 down to i7 tier performance one after one after they pushed out new guidelines to stop the crashes. A official press release about the problem is a bad idea. It will damage the reputation even more. It's better let the MB manufacturers do the dirty work🤢 Superior Stability by GIGABYTE BETA BIOS with Intel Baseline on Z790/B760 Motherboards Gigabyte.com 2 months ago MSI bragged about their new OC experience with their coming bios. Now the gamers get i7 tier performance instead from their i9 processors. What a downturn. You just can't make proper bios profiles or optimize bios correctly if you only use top binned hardware in the development of the bios. And what with Intel... Did they also test hand picked CPU's then hoped everything was ok? MSI preparing 6.4 GHz overclocking profile for Intel Core i9... -

Yup. The bin quality isn't good enough vs the targeted clock speed. Lower bin quality means you need more voltage and Intel can't fuse in whats needed for the advertised max clock speed. If they did, we would see even higher voltage than the trash bin we already have seen from 14900K/KS. Either they bin their chips properly or they have to lower the boost clock speed out of the box. Now its too late for this gen processors. You can't have it both. Pick your poison. All this is on Intel. A shortage of i9 processors is better than people get chips that can't run as expected. In short.... Feed more voltage and it will run more stable but at the cost of higher temps and throttling well below advertised clock speed. What he said.... If you take 20 random i9 processors then you can see 2 of them can't run Cinebench. Thats 10% failure rate. And the numbers could be even worse. Feed more voltage and it will throttle instead for crashing. I look fowards to what Intel will say... But maybe they swap the problem under the carpet and try bin the remaining chips slightly better so they don't crash out of the box. But no one will know for sure. This one is dedicated to the Time Spy jockey bro @ryan🤩 https://hwbot.org/submission/5545057_papusan_3dmark___time_spy_extreme_geforce_gtx_1070_3749_marks?recalculate=true -

Main problem. Intel haven't enough SKUs that should be labeled i9 K/KF or KS. That's the main reason we get a huge variety in the bin quality. From trash to a very few samples with good bin. Intel will never ever offer SP scores. Because they know their binning is only to max out profits from trash chips. Bin chips to reach max boost on two cores (then forget that they use hybrid tech with E-cores) is a failure. All P-cores should be able to reach max advertised boost clocks. Two best cores is an Joke. And they need to come back with xx850K/KF chips. The only solution so they can get rid of the trash. No point offer junk as xx900K/KF or KS flagship chips. That's a failure and the reason Intel now is on deep water (brand damage). -

See bolded text above. Then compare with the bolded text from MSI's Press release notes below.... Then you see the same as me. If there is a minority of i9 processors having all this stability problems... They are RMA candidates. They are defective! In short no need for any workarounds. Just RMA the processors back to the retail shop or Intel. No one should pay for defective Cpu's that don't work as intended/expected. MSI Offers BIOS Guide To Improve Gaming Stability With Intel 14th & 13th Gen CPUs [Press Release]: According to some reports, a minority of Intel Core i9-13900K and Core i9-14900K processors may experience instability while gaming or under heavy workloads. If you're encountering this issue, here are some workarounds recommended by Intel. Source: MSI -

The snowball roll faster and faster... It will be tough to turn this around to what it was. Now it's up to the buyers trusting EK forwards. Former EKWB Employees say company has racist, hostile work environment, withholds overtime pay The scandal surrounding EKWB, the embattled cooling and custom PC building company, keeps growing as multiple former employees have now accused the company of creating a hostile work environment filled with racist jokes and abusive rhetoric in its Texas-based U.S. offices. Just as bad, the employees also say that the firm failed to pay them for required overtime hours and that it damaged relationships with suppliers by repeatedly withholding payments. -
Exactly what the Windows users want. Yup, Microsoft deliver times after time🤮🤢🤮 People need to be desprate if they download latest optional offline installer. Want it bro @Mr. Fox? Ads will be the core feature in new modern Windows OS forwards. A must have........ Yup, sure. Now you see the main reason for the massive hate of customization software for your start menu. These software don't match Microsoft goal. Windows 11 KB5036980 turns on Start menu ads (direct download .msu) Windows 11 April 2024 optional update has been released. This update includes ads for third-party apps in the Start menu. Microsoft has provided direct download links for Windows 11 optional update offline installers (.msu) on its Update Catalog, in addition to the usual Windows Update. Microsoft pushed this update two weeks after introducing it via a Windows 11 Preview Build This wouldn't be the first time Microsoft embeds ads in its operating system. The company did similar promotions with the Windows 10 lock screen, mail app and Start menu. But it seems to be coming at the cost of not optimizing or improving user experience. A few days ago, its former developer criticized Windows 11's Start menu's performance issues on a system with an Intel Core i9 and 128GB RAM. While having certain features is nice for some users, one would not expect the performance and experience to be a trade-off.

If Intel had done their job properly, they should refused to launch 14900KS. Also the 14900K/KF is very questionable. If they have problem with the bin quality/yields..... And gamer kids get trash binned chips, their i9 processors will run hotter than normal/expected. In short if we OC our own chips we can easly make them unstable even with the best cooling if we push them too hard. Aka the oc'd cpu's will function/behave equally bad as a stock running i9 with unlocked MB settings in the hands of gamers with not the best cooling setup/not the best tech skills. A cpu should never crash... It should throttle down speed and voltage. This if the Cpu run stock clocks regardless of power settings. Every single core i9 crashing at stock clock speed are defective. I mean over half of the shipped 14th gen KS chips should have been binned as ordinary K chips. And 25-50% of all 14900K should have been downgraded to i9-14850K. The bin statistic we have seen for mentioned chips speaks for itself. EKWB issues public apology regarding delayed payments Also this a huge misssteps. It seems AMD refuse to compete. Or maybe the choice of vram is a cost cutting to the bone? Pick what poison you want. Leaker says AMD will use 'slow' 18Gbps GDDR6 in RDNA 4 GPUs It will be interesting to see what AMD does. AMD's decision to opt for GDDR6 will depend on how much memory bandwidth it needs, and how much money it can save on PCB designs by using the existing memory standard. The beefier a GPU's memory sub-system is, the more complex the PCB design needs to be. -

The reason we get trash binned KS chips for this generation. Intel don't have enough chips for binning 14th gen KS chips. They don't even have enough i9 chips that should be labeled K/KF. The 14th gen KS (Special edition) should never ever have been released. All this is on Intel. Their main focus have been on next gen chips/architecture. Hence they ported over some of next gen arch over on 12th, 13th and 14th gen chips. No wonder we have many weird problems and overheating disaster. Same was it for 11th gen chips as well (Rocket Lake). Intel need to go back to Tick Tock. Not this new way to maximize profits with an old node and arch several gen forwards. -
Microsoft going backwards into the future. The exact opposite of innovation. Whats the point with an upgrade to the worse? The world rolling forwards. But Microsoft moving backwards. What a fiasco. Hmmm. Now you'll will need an Alienware pc, Alienware laptop and Alienware KB. Maybe get an Razor mouse to match the Razer Nommo Pro V2 speakers so you can get the feel of Razer's well known quality. Or just buy an AW mouse and muse pad. Me... Whatever what AW and Razer offer (top notch or trash)...No thanks. I don't support those brands with money. But that's me🙂 More ssd's to avoid. Hmmm. Do people check if the model is reased before they jump on the buy button? Fake Samsung 1080 Pro 4TB SSD promises unbelievable 15.8 GB/s speeds With advertised speeds up to 15.8 GB/s, the 1080 Pro would outperform the majority of the best SSDs on the market. Unfortunately, this is all false advertising, and Quasarzone has found that the 1080 Pro sometimes performs worse than a USB 2.0 pendrive. EK have been the main tech topic. Here's from der8auer. Why I canceled the coperation with EK waterblocks. The direct die fiasco is finally a topic. EK under fierce fire. And even Jayz see what I have seen regarding Hardware inventory. They need to reduce it if they want to survive as company. EKWB and a financial disaster with an announcement: unpaid bills, exploited employees and angry creditors like me igorslab.de The Cashe start being a bit flaky and prone to crash the system with one multi up (+5790). Higher voltage may help. Or just get it colder or lower the mem clock but with lower cas latency. Yup. Do you like stupidity bro @ryan? Microsoft destroying their OS more and more for every new build. They have no limits how lame this OS will looks like. And the start menu is more and more as a huge Joke. Of course they don't want that you tweak the start menu with proper software/or tweaks... Because they prefer to use it as an ad page forwards. Disgusting? And Windows ain't freeware... You pay for it. And still this OS will be filled with more and more ads Logging out in Windows 11 will soon be more complicated Software today 11:03 Microsoft will hide the Windows logout button behind more advertising for the Microsoft 365 service... And here you see Microsoft going the Apple route. They make features that match own home-brewed ARM chips. Windows as OS for everyone and for all platforms is soon dead. Microsoft's new Windows 11 'AI Explorer' feature set to anger AMD and Intel Microsoft has been preparing the release of new AI features for Windows 11 for quite some time now, and it appears at least one of those features will be hardware restricted. Microsoft is expected to unveil how AI will be integrated into Windows 11 and new Arm-powered Surface hardware.

I think the high boost clocks on the two cores is damn tempting for many of the normal users awerage Joe's. They have no clue how much power the i9 chips will gobbles up under max load. Once they see it for themself they start complain everywhere, then search up info and then try undervolt as much they can. With max undervolt to the brink the chips become unstable and they start once again crying about all sorts of problems. This is maybe the reason EK always is empty or have very low stock on much of their stuff I want. I can see it in the webshops here home. Maybe they should stop make the whole range of hardware. And it will be easier to pay for the inventory and paying the workers. EK is a well-known company for its niche-specific liquid cooling products. However, the burden of financial disarray causes significant damages; it will take nothing short of a miracle to fix many of these issues. EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray -

Instead of force all changes in new bios for everyone they could offer guidelines for those that have or experience problems. SVID "Intel Fail Safe" found may not align to Intel spec & raises CPU voltage. Don't use as preventative, only if CPU unstable w/ other settings. TVB Voltage Optimizations ENabled lowers voltage. "AUTO" C-States not always enabling properly on all mobo/CPU combos.
