I didn't know where else to put this so random seems good. One thing that's a negative but has some positive things about it to me at least is the fan noise on a laptop. If it's out of the ordinary you can tell pretty easily some website or program is not working right or is doing a bunch of things that are not pertinent to what the normal usage is or some other weird thing going on. Desktop too but the fans are harder to hear if it's on the floor or farther away, larger fan diameters etc For instance when I'm researching shows and/or the zoo screen talent on them on imdb sometimes it takes way too much time and fan noise just to look at photos and it's a bad load up or some such. I then exit out of my browser and go back works fine usually. That site is a mess though in general, I couldn't imagine it without various ad and script blockers it's so bad, yt probably too it's been years since I make sure I have various blockers working. Sometimes I use an agent switcher so it thinks I'm on a mobile so it loads mobile, less data etc Also if the fans are really bad in normal use then the fan control software is defective, for instance the default program on my tongfang "gateway" was a jet engine a lot of the time, switched to an eluktronics version and all good. That sort of thing can wear fans out quicker and even result in catastrophic failure which can kill your cpu/gpu.

@RecieverHi Just noticed a strange thing today, is there a grace period timeout on 2FA code window, I actually forgot to type the code for 30 mins and after inputting a new code I was able to login. In other forums I'll be immediately kicked out and be landed to login page. Is it by design?

It seems a good chunk of the internet went down, was playing Bloons Tower defense with some buddies and thought my internet went out, but Youtube and this website still worked. We all got booted off and it seems many websites are broken, hopefully all is well. Probably just a solar flare or something.

Visiting family in arizona and I just can't see how people like living there, unless it's higher elevation because it's just awful, hard to want to go out of the AC hole you're in. It's inhuman, it's not human half the year and I don't like such a dry environment.

During the winter it's not too bad, comes down to around 75f or below depending on where you are but the winter nights are really cold like 30s or less. Right now in most places in AZ it's over 100F, it was 113F+ where I was next to colorado river, which was awful, a bunch of people in empty neighborhoods hiding out from the heat and also a lot of second home people who get out of there summertime. Low at night was like 80F. The dryness is an adjustment if you are coming from a place where it is more rainy and it's easy to get dehydrated especially if you forget to put on sunblock. We went to an old gold mining town attraction and someone got heat exhaustion just from walking around, ambulance. None of those type of places would exist at that size or at all without AC or would be just little colonies along a body of water, good luck if the power goes out.

I live in middle Tennessee, and the town I live in (and some surrounding towns) have had an influx of people migrating or moving here for the past few years (Lots of people from the Middle East and California). As a result of this, there is LOTS of construction where I live. Houses are being built fast and by the dozens, but the roads and schools aren't getting bigger to compensate. Land is becoming extremely valuable and people looking to move here from surrounding towns/areas cannot afford to purchase property here as they are outbid by the people migrating here.

I've lived in middle Tennessee my whole life, and I'm a bit sad seeing the place I've called home rapidly turn into a crowded, urbanized, and conglomerate town. While to me the negatives outweigh the benefits in this situation, I try to make the best of it. What's nice is that I can easily find giant, open construction areas, but I can also find natural places that haven't been touched by massive real-estate companies yet.

The point of this post is to show a few of the many pictures of construction and nature that I have taken for the past year or so. Some of these pictures have been taken in developing neighborhoods within walking distance of where I live while others have been taken in bigger construction areas and natural areas that are within a 10-15 minute driving distance of where I live.

These pictures will be split into Construction and "Nature" categories. I must also say that some of my pictures aren't too good. I'm not really a "high level" photographer, but I know enough to be able to try to make things not look completely hideous.

This last set of pictures are my favorite. Last December, two of my closest friends and I (The same two listed in the pictures above) decided to go to a nearby public lake. It had rained the previous few days before we went, so we decided to bring one of the friends' go-karts with us and we had the time of our lives. There was no one in the area that we went to, and so we managed to get some really good pictures of a very small portion of the lake.

Here they are:

Can you hypnotize me to get rid of a sugar addiction?

I eat very healthy 2 main meals per day. Fruit and tons of veg, small carbs and decent protein. But I can never stop eating until I've had some sugar! I just feel unsatisfied until I eat something super sweet. :classic_blink:

This has been going on slowly increasing the sugar uptake for the past 6 months.

It can be very difficult, we are hardwired to love sugar as you know. What works is getting rid of all the sugary stuff from the house, unfortunately that can be a challenge in itself unless you live alone. Basically, you have to treat this as addiction. It's also possible there are some triggers, like stress for example that need to be addressed as well.

ouch, not a good trend my man! as @Etern4lmentioned above, out of sight is out of mind. best to get rid of all excessive sugar storages in your home. just leave enough for a snack or two ahead. add in roadblocks for urself to get to sugar, i.e. having to do another supermarket or shop run to get sweets.

also, if it HAS to be smth sweet, try and go with smth more healthy, i.e. fruits or heavy grain bars with a touch of dark chocolate on top of heavy grain cornflakes. or with drinks, instead of straight up just dilute everything with water, fills up the belly faster and quenches the sugar thirst but limits the total sugar intake.
