There is a Micro Center about 30 minutes away from where I live, and my dad and I go there together every so often. We always tell my mom that we're going to the toy store. 🤣

I absolutely love being there, even if I'm not there to buy anything. We go there for most of our hardware needs.

I have been to that Micro Center more than any other, and one in Houston almost as often. Any time I am in Dallas overnight I go into your store. I used to spend about a week in Richardson about a dozen weeks out of the year for work. I would go there and to Hard 8, Spring Creek and Salt Grass religiously, LOL.

Back plate good, thermalright frame good as well. Waterblock studs have no play in them either. I am using the plastic XSPC back plate, I really like this style over others.

Looking good. Do you have 5 NVMe drives to fill up all of the slots on that mobo? Remember to change those options in the BIOS for PCH power management to keep the PCH nice and cool. They are set to "disabled" by default and the PCH runs hot unless you change the settings to "auto" and then it drops about 18-20°C.

Hard 8 is definitely a pit stop for me when I’m in DFW for training. Have never made it over to their MC though.

After a lot of debate I decided to sell the 4090 FE locally today. I can’t justify the purchase for a living room PC that doesn’t get as much gaming use. It’s my hand me down rig and it needs to stay that way. 3090 Ti that “was sold” went back inside. Honestly still love the 3090 Ti, it will still be a power house card for years to come and is EVGAs final send off. I will keep it until I see what AMD offers or more than likely the 4090 Ti drops.

It’s a great motherboard for sure. I’m actually running it right now. I lifted up my 3090KP HC, lifted up the Optimus block. And just slid the new board/cpu/memory right underneath on the test bench.

My new 2TB Corsair M.2 didn’t come in on time. So, I’m using a little 512GB with Windows 10 LTSC installed for now.

13900KF Is blazing fast that’s for sure! CPU-Z bench shows 125% faster multithreaded than a 10850K. I haven’t touched any settings overclocking etc. XMP and go so far.

I didn’t wanna bother with pulling the Raid-0 M.2 setup from my Z590 since that’s essentially a complete and intact working system. I hate the whole TPM Security thing now too it’s a pain.

EDIT:

My power buttons are on the correct side now too! I really love this setup. Anyone know my SP rating of my 13900KF? Your guess is as good as mine! LOL. Darn you Asus. I have a feeling that this sample is good. 😎

Not going back to work until Tuesday, so I still have some tinker time.

Very nice. I’m learning the Unify-X bios and 13900KF so far. It’s a really fast processor.

I’m running 5.8 P-Cores, 4.5 E-Cores, 4.7 Cache. 1.315V, and MSI LLC on level 3.

I have no idea what I’m doing in this bios. Getting there though.

Yep! I reserved it online as they had 2 kits. I got there at 8am and was first instore and they still had 1 kit because no one knew they had it. I could have got a ROG Strix card (1 of 8 ) but I took a hard pass. After watching Jayztwocents fail spectacularly with his memory over clock I was like you wont get me!

R23 score in bound. Yeah, I’ll do some stability testing, right now I’m just playing around and trying to learn this new stuff. I’m Delidding this thing for sure though.

R23 broke 43K though.

Definitely going to delid this. I feel like 6Ghz all core daily is very reasonable to expect.

I may exchange my 7200 kit for the 7600 kit. I didn’t even know they were available. They may just be the same thing though no?

How much are those?

Not sure, but 7600 Kit was 429.99

Edit:

You heard it here first....Benchmarks can take wierd E core numbers now and do better or worse.

Example:

Firestrike 8/16C 8E gets great all around score, but CPU score is lower.

8/16C 10E gets better over all score.

Still testing.....

And Intel is ready to push out 32 of them for next gen processors. Of course with a 8 cores cap for the P-cores. Babies (e-cores), come dance with me, HaHa

Yeah, those temps are great. Seeing what they are, I would not delid that CPU. It runs cooler than my 12900K and 12900KS (both delidded) despite running much higher clocks. Maybe Intel figured out how to do the soldering right to eliminate the need to delid.

Corsair Vengeance 6000 kits can come with B-die or Hynix M-die. I included that kit with the mobo and he has it overclocked to 6400. The PMIC is locked to 1.435V, so 6400 is the highest I could get that kit to run. If the PMIC were not capped I suspect they would run 6800. Performance at 6400 was basically identical to Hynix at 6400.

Yeah, those temps are great. Seeing what they are, I would not delid that CPU. It runs cooler than my 12900K and 12900KS despite running much higher clocks.

Ah, ok.
