Well, it kind of makes sense, right? While 4080S is not a 4090 killer outright, the performance gap between them does not really justify a $800 premium. You would expect the prices to get closer, and that’s what’s happening. A lot now rides on how much 4080S stock NVidia needs to shift, and how many “inventory management” tricks they are willing to pull in order to support the prices.

If anyone sees any 4080 Supers GPU’s in stock please let me know! I’m ready to grab another, but they are all being scalped and all are out of stock.  It’s really crazy that used 4090 prices are down on eBay, while new 4080 Super prices are driving upwards.

Anyways, I need to buy a new one before I can send back my old one. If you all see any let me know. 😃

I am looking for:

4080S Aorus Master

4080S Suprim-X

4080S Strix OC

4080S Strix White OC

4080S Aero OC White

4080S ZOTAC Airo OC

I’d take either of these models.

um....why not just get a regular 4080, maybe even used? save a ton of money and only lose like 2-3% in performance. overclock and bam, done.

I FIX IT FOR YOU. And you can overclock the Super as well. Bam, done😁

And what will you pay for a custom 4080 flagship ? $1200? I doub't you find a custom 4080 as @tps3443 want below $1100. And pay more than $1000 for 4080 regardless if its a flagship is stupid.  Better wait.

Well, it looks like the old RTX4080 is about the same price as the 4080 SUPER. I am open to saving tons of money though. Have you seen one for a good deal? The 4080 Super FE is only $1,000 from Bestbuy, which is what I am after I am just waiting on a re-stock. I am checking on the old 4080's and they are more expensive retail, and on Ebay they are priced similarly to a 4080 Super. I am really not open to losing 3% performance. But I guess if I was spending $800-900, I may re-consider losing 3% performance.

They just got the 4080 Super Gaming OC in stock on Bestbuy and I could have bought one. But they changed the PCB design and they have zero waterblock support at all. So, I am really just waiting for the right one to come along.

welp tbh i didnt really take a look at used 4080 pricing 😄 i just ASSUMED, god forbid, people following common sense and offering USED cards for below new pricing, especially with a Super successor out now. that doesnt seem to be the case hahahah, my bad 😛 naturally i wouldnt get a used card at same pricing as a new one PLUS 2-3% less performance. in thaat case just waait for restocks if you dont mind the wait 🙂

I GOT ONE!!!! And it’s the one I really really wanted too.

I literally just randomly checked MSI Store and they had the RTX4080 Super Suprim-X in stock! 😃😃😃

Yay! I also checked here late last night, and they were all out of stock. I signed up for email alerts, and they didn’t email me (Thanks MSI) lol. I sure am glad I decided to randomly check again. I almost could not believe it when I saw it. People are snatching these hard, and trying to scalp them even harder.

Im certain no one knows they are in-stock yet either. I created an account and signed up for in-stock notifications yesterday. They still haven’t informed me.  Easily the best 4080S I think. I’d rather have this than a Strix OC model anyways.  I’m so glad I got one! I wanted one of these originally and they were sold out on Newegg, and I have been wanting one ever since.

I am patiently waiting for the 4090's to hit around 1600 again before I jump in, unless the rumors for something more powerful intensify in the 40 series. In the meantime, I may pick up another A770 to use in conjunction with my 3090.

The MSI store has them for $1599 and $1689 I’d be checking that daily for stock. Probably much better chance than the Nvidia website.

I checked very very early this morning like 2-3AM, and there was no stock at all. So they are clearly not sending out the in-stock emails.

@Papusan 4080 Super Suprim X still in-stock, I don’t think they alerted anyone.

I think someone’s best bet is just checking the site 2-3 times per day. MSI clearly doesn’t care who buys them lol. They probably sell them to Newegg, and Newegg or other scalpers mark them up 🤣 don’t alert the customers who actually need the the product.

This is what I’m most excited about below.

The 4080 Non-Super Suprim-X review shows some amazing cooling performance. This is what an extra $150 or extra $200 should be providing at a minimum for any AIB card. It even outperforms the Strix OC which offers some good cooling performance.

This isn't for points, just a down and dirty run to confirm overclocking ability of the Gigabutt Gaming OC GPU. The stock vBIOS is voltage knee-capped at 1.070V like all of the new cancer GPU firmware. *SMH* BUT, nothing that a quick flash to the Galax vBIOS can't fix. Now it has a less castrated 1.100V voltage limit. Before it would crash above about 2950MHz on core, but now 3000+ is doable. Memory has no problem with +1500 so far. Don't know if it can run +1700 like the Suprim can, but I will find out when I have time to test it on chilled water. So far everything I can see tells me this is a good GPU.

noice, welcome to the suprim family 😄 i actually find the design quite "compact" (in comparable, relative terms hahaha) and nicely looking, not too over-the-top "gamery". cooling and loudness wise definitely a winner!

I think someone’s best bet is just checking the site 2-3 times per day. MSI clearly doesn’t care who buys them lol. They probably sell them to Newegg, and Newegg or other scalpers mark them up 🤣 don’t alert the customers who actually need the the product.

ah yes we all absolutely "need" this hardware, sure sure.... 🤣

but jokes aside, im guessing they have fixed time intervals during which they send out their updates. if it so happens that there is no stock during that time point, then u gotta wait until the next cycle completes....kinda stupid actually, but i guess saves them 2c on ressources? hahaha

Could be Intel need a stopgap because 15th series may come a bit later than expected. Hence so late to the party. We are now soon into middle Feb. Binning enough chips takes time.
