I have one that looks even better that I have my third interview for today that I pray works out and it would probably end up being the best one I have applied for. The one that looked promising that you referred to is not off the table, but the President wanted to see how how the financials looked for 2025 and how January revenue looks before adding a new c-suite resource to staff. On the WireView Pro... when you get around to it, this screenshot might be useful if you run into any complications getting Windows to correctly identify it. I think the key is manually installing the driver in Device Manager, immediately powering off and unplugging the PSU long enough for the board and everything attached to lose power. 5 hours ago, Raiderman said: @Mr. Fox Sent a message to your phone. Just remember how quickly the dotcom boom and several cryptobooms imploded...... FYI, Intel is nowhere near close to going bankrupt. They just aren't printing money like they did for decades on end. I'm glad they've hit a wall though and need to get lean, mean and hungry again. Intel is actually bringing the heat in the mobile market which is very important. Rage Set Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago It is definitely overclocking season - I am about to take my new purchase (yes, I went the dumb BGA route and got a 275HX/5090 Lenovo 7i Pro laptop) into the snow. I got a great deal on it with 64GB of 6400MT RAM. I kept haggling with the seller and he kept coming back - 64GB of laptop RAM cost around 500 to $600. However, I got it for the price of 2800 (before taxes), my max budget. I am hoping I can sell my old 7i (11980HK/3080 (16GB VRAM) 32GB of DDR4 RAM) for around 800 to $1000 to offset the cost. February is the best time to sell things, because people are going to be spending their returns. My area is projected to get around 21 inches of snow - at 5F (-15C), with a wind chill of -10F (-23.33C). @Papusan I know this snowy weather is tame compare to what you have, but us people (well most) in the Northeast are celebrating. We haven't had snow like this in years, normally our max is 12 inches of snow. 2 2 1 A Change Is Gonna Come

We, on the other hand, require 24 inches or more. My job (IT school system) & Mayor are still contemplating if we will or not. Now if the governor shuts down the state (they rarely ever do), that's one thing, but if the Mayor shuts down the city, he will have to pay us all. Otherwise, you have to use personal or vacation time if you don't want to venture out in the snow. I make it a point to go, because there is no one there and I can use the time to learn/study or repair broken desktops/laptops. I usually work on my soldering skills and/or create troubleshooting guides for the entry level techs. Or I can do some overclocking in my office, which I might do! 1 A Change Is Gonna Come

This is more the norm from Nov to May. Every damn year. If we are lucky we can have a decent May in spring. But far in between. Then we have Jun and July with the green summer winter, half-cold and rainy🤐Aug is an summer month, but I call it the start of the fall and back to the dark, cold, windy weather, snow then rain. The circle go around and around. I HATE IT. I also would celebrate snow and cold if that lasted a short time every or second year. -13 degrees here now, but it will be colder in the next few days. But luckily there is no wind now like the days before. Minus 5-6 degrees and a lot of wind feels worse to me than -10C and colder with no wind. If there is a climate change and more of the snow turn into rain, I can't say that will be much better. CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. Rainy days around zero and hars wind is sometimes much worse. Radeon features are comparatively low and the hotspot temps are comparatively very high. The minimal amount of time I spend gaming either one would be fine and I would buy the cheapest option as long as a water block is immediately available. I don't think I like any GPU enough to get excited about using it with a stock air cooler. 2 1 WRAITH // X870E Apex | 9950X | 5090 Solid OC | 48GB DDR5-8000 | GF3 1650W | Triple 360 Loop | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO (T-Rex) BANSHEE // X870E-E Strix | EPYC 4585PX | 4090 Suprim | 32GB DDR5-8000 | Edge 1300W | Dual 360 Loop || O11D XL EVO (Rhinoceros) MEH!! // Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth | MXM Quadro P5000 16GB | 32GB DDR4 | 4K IPS Display | $500 Turdbook (Sea Turtle) Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes. Lenovo really makes nice laptops that consistently place towards the top in Jarrod's laptop ratings. 64GB of 6400 DDR5 is awesome not just for capacity but it running no problems at 6400 on your laptop. I've actually held off opening back up my eBay store for a massive selloff of items till February because of tax return season. I'm in SNJ, so we're getting this quasi freezing rain thing with maybe 4" of snow atm. It's just sad.... 🤣 How are the Red Devil 9070xt and Prime 5070ti working out for you? Honestly, I kept looking at the 9950HX3D Lenovo 7 Pro, but it was limited to a 5080. It started at 3K and then I saw the 7i Pro with a 5090 around the same price. It snowballed from there. It is a really nice laptop and it handles my 8K footage from my Canon R5 like butter. Yes, this is the time. I am not sure if I want to attempt to put some rigs together to sell or just simply sell the components individually. I only have a couple DDR5 mobos from AMD/Intel and only three sets of DDR5 that are working, two sets currently in use. Probably best I sell the components. We got 20'' inches thus far where I live in CT. I spent the past several hours, going out every few hours to attack with my shovel. I still relatively young compared to my neighbors, so whereas all of my neighbors will be using their snow blowers, I am out there strong arming the snow. Good cardio as well! I was having some serious buyer's remorse, even though I got both cards for their MSRP. I am happy now, seeing that the Red Devil jumped up $110 and the Prime is $250 more, excluding the scalper pricing. Both cards are great. I can't really choose. The only thing the 5070Ti has over the 9070XT is better video editing performance. Welcome to the Red Devil family, lol. 2 A Change Is Gonna Come

Essentially a waste of time IMHO. I am probably going to reclaim the drive space for storage again because I see no meaningful benefit to having Windows Server installed. I did not run any 3D benchmarks. My W10 and W11 OSes are fully debloated and optimized. I did a bit of debloating to Windows Server as well, but I am not convinced it is worth the effort. I also found a couple of my applications do not install on Windows Server. I get an error telling me the OS is not supported. The disk benchmarks were all run on the same NVMe to avoid variance as much as possible. The caveat is it is the Windows 10 IoT LTSC boot drive, so the speeds will be a bit less on Windows 10 for that reason. But, from my perspective it is within a normal margin of error regardless. Certtainly not enough to matter in the grand scheme of things. I may run a couple of 3D benchmarks and if there are any meaningful differences I will post the results, but NVMe and CPU performance offer no meaningful benefit using Windows Server. https://www.overclock.net/attachments/w11-vs-server-jpg.2749319/ https://www.overclock.net/attachments/w10-p310-os-jpg.2749320/ WRAITH // X870E Apex | 9950X | 5090 Solid OC | 48GB DDR5-8000 | GF3 1650W | Triple 360 Loop | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO (T-Rex) BANSHEE // X870E-E Strix | EPYC 4585PX | 4090 Suprim | 32GB DDR5-8000 | Edge 1300W | Dual 360 Loop || O11D XL EVO (Rhinoceros) MEH!! // Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth | MXM Quadro P5000 16GB | 32GB DDR4 | 4K IPS Display | $500 Turdbook (Sea Turtle) Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes. Would I have to unregister win 10 prior to doing a clean instal? pic of the screen from when I grabbed my license key code from withing windows. I don't know how to turn ms updates off but the updates have a way of breaking things and now that the product is end of life they don't seem to care to fix the problems. pic of license key code redacted: Oh yeah are all win 10 installations the same but change the users available options based on the license? View attachment 2749334 Enterprise is the same as Pro except for some added crap for domain networkibg. LTSC in totally different and dramatically less bloated. IoT has a longer service window than LTSC if you care about updates. Rebloating to play games is only necessary if you play games that are trash-dependent, like crap from Micro$lop Game Studios. Enterprise (non-LTSC) has all of the same bloat you find in Pro already baked in. No difference in terms of bloat between the two. Server performs the same as W10 and W11 IoT LTSC overall. W11 Pro starts to show its bloat a little bit in terms of CPU overhead, but still so close between the three that I don't think it warrants the effort of a clean install for the sake of performance gains because the results are within a normal margin of error. If one needed to do a clean install for other reasons (cancer updates, corruption, malware, etc.) then IoT LTSC is still probably the best option. There is less trash in IoT LTSC to deal with. Server is similar, but has other added nonsense that has to be disabled (like Server Manager loading at startup). At the end of the day none of them are particularly good OSes and there are no dramatic differences. W11 Pro is the slowest OS of all due to the payload of filth and product regressions in general. We already knew that, so no surprise. Unfortunately, I do not have W11 IoT LTSC installed on this system, but that is probably good for the average user in terms of this comparison since it highlights the dumpster fire better. Here are some additional photos with just ordinary gamerboy PBO overclocking (thus lower Cinebench scores and higher CPU-Z single thread scores) versus manual overclocking. Using PBO is probably a better way to compare them since you are leaving the OS to impose its will on hardware versus hardware imposing its will on Windoze. The drive tested is the W10 OS drive so take that into consideration on the write speeds.
