Yep, I know. But it will come a flood of them and they will stay there until one report them or the mod team catch it. The ranking and points will never be correct as it is now with the ECC mess.

The bot would need something that could auto detect for 3dmark, but that seems virtually impossible. So it is what it is. Me personally, I can't be spending all day on complaining about them and the ranking and scoring system. If i feel like submitting then I will if not, then I'll just sit back Like I have been doing. If the 4090 TI comes out then for me it will be a moot point as I will trade this card in for a 4090TI and all my points will be void yet again for the newer card.

Yep, benching should be for fun. Not so much for points. And the ranking have been screwed up many years, so.... and the Globals is only there a very short time. Less people buy high end nowadays and the HW points is in the minimale for this type HW.

Not much to lose sleep about, unless you are the one near the top that try sell a product.. Giving something back for what you got for freee.

In some ways it was more fun when I was benching and didn't even know about HWBOT. I didn't have to worry about special screenshots and a list of do's and don'ts, or legalistic nonsense. If anyone didn't like what I posted they could kiss my hind end... didn't care whether they liked it or not. That's one reason I like running game benchmarks.

Yep, I had a lot fun in th older days before I used the bot. With my not the best English I avoided posting and enjoyed my own scores from Phase cooling etc. Only the last years I dared sign into forums(was afraid people with better English language would have fun with what I wrote).. I have always had my own views on tech/how to do things. Not all handle that.

The good thing with the bot... You have older scores saved and lined up the easy way. Fast going back to see what you can do better. Or to compare with your new results. And yep, no point post them vs other places on the web for bragging.... Remember your "half baked" scores posted on the bot is done with ECC Enabled, LOOL

No others will Enable this piece of trash tech (for gaming). 99.99% of the time I will run with it Disabled.

I am not particularly fond of the busy-looking backplate. I much prefer the plain-jane slick black aesthetic with out any kind of holes or slots cut outs and just the tiny Alphacool logo that the Eisenblock would have provided. I said earlier it was coming from Fontana, but it's actually Fresno. The GPU itself shipped from Fontana.

I don't know if it will come with a black or silver backplate. The eBay listing did not specify that.

Me ordered KFA2 4090 HOF (The co-branding of GALAX in EU)CIGAR.gif.15011a24ec3c78923f52d8943d2edabd.gif.

The weird part.... 4090 HOF is almost impossible to get in the whole EU. Being able to get your hands on one here in little Norway is quite interesting. Will believe it when I see the shipping label. This means I will wait ordering the second power connector until I see the shipping label is delivered in my email.

Electrosoft, no pict of my all black crocs now, but new pict will come a later dayCIGAR.gif.15011a24ec3c78923f52d8943d2edabd.gif

My wife ordered this one. I knew nothing before I woke up and checked the mail 🙂

Second monitor still un-opened.

image.thumb.png.434a760bec36f047762743c2ed98523c.png

Checked a bit more on the webshop. Added in several 4090 HOF cards to see where the stock ended. 3 cards in stock but if you add the 4th then you have to wait until the 21.02.2023.

Nice, I also checked other of Galax/KFA2 partners shops. Nothing in stock. I think the shared shop between Norway/Sveden is the only one have them in stock. 3 cards for the whole EU, LOOL

So this looks promising 🙂

image.png.4f13a0d111b34bce8a244bce2d8b652b.png

And very happy I don't have to deal with this monstrosity😎 Neither do I have to compromise. And I can still have the older 8 pin connectors for my older cards lying inside the chassis without it looking weird/filled up.

I have a hunch that these are the pads that Alienware used on the stock heat sinks back in the day. They worked well and were very durable. But, you could not remove and remount the heat sink or it would destroy the original phase change pad. I suspect that would hold true here as well. If you ever needed to take it apart, you would need to remove the old pad and replace it.

I personally have not been able to re-use them once I remove heatsink from the cpu or gpu so yes @Etern4l make sure you bought enough.

Got a funny bug with Windows 10 ltsc. It likes to restart for no reason. Just working away, and bam, blank screen. All hardware installed in dev manager, no over clocks, fresh install on the new WD black. Funny thing is Windows 7 is missing two drivers, and runs 24/7 with no issues what so ever.  I have windows 7 set as the deffault OS, andI just sent a couple email documents off, replied to a couple others, set my printer up, and hopped in the shower. Went back in the office, and its sitting at the Windows 7 log in screen. SMDH

I rarely see this on the old (single card). And most likely a driver that UL don't like for their benchmarks. Pair Microsofts disaster with UL/Futuremark software + newer security patched drivers from Nvidia and it will be complete MESS.

3080 w/ 10GB was always going to be an issue for a card that can do 4k. I think i even mentioned it too on the NBR forums when I was quoting VRAM allocations with my original 3090 Founders.

Well said.

Awesome @Papusan and congrats on the purchase! I think you'll be the first of this group with a real HOF class card from the last 2-3 generations so we can see one in actual use. Looking forward to pics, performance and opinions. Again, congrats bro!

Thanks bro Electro 🙂

See... Nvidia continue with their screw up if this rumors is correct. The more I see from 4xxx series cards the more I'm sure that the 4090 is the only card worth to buy this gen from Nvidia. Both for performance and for money vs value.

When the GeForce RTX 3060 launched with 12GB of video RAM, it was a careful choice made by NVIDIA. Because of that chip's 192-bit memory bus, NVIDIA had the option to launch with either 6GB or 12GB of memory. That led to the awkward situation where the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, RTX 3070 Ti, and even the RTX 3080 all had less video memory on board than the 3060.

Well, awkwardness continues, apparently, because if kopite7kimi's latest leak is accurate, the GeForce RTX 4060 will have just 8GB of video RAM onboard.

8GB is pervers if the rumors is correct.

Edit.

I did a test on my sons machine. First with the native NVMe driver, then installed the custom Samsung drivers I normally use for my computers (see link below). It's within margins of errors but major difference in 4K Random Write performance with the custom driver.

And Random 4K is what you should look after, not the useless sky high High Sequential speed numbers meant for bragging.

Remember bigger drives normally perform a bit better.

As we have already said/heard, the only NVIDIA upgrade is a 4090. 4060 will be an expensive downgrade from 3060. What a joke.

Finally got the shipment of my 4090 HOF card confirmed. They sent it out today. And this will be my first ever HOF card😎 And I have now ordered the second needed 12VHPWR cable form Be Quiet.

Bro @Mr. Fox The somewhat special 4090 HOF design is growing on me😎 I think I can handle the weird white design😆 Maybe I should re-name my all Black box to Black&White now, LOOL

Could be Galax wanted to be sure the "double chance" of fire introduced by Nvidia could be reduced/eliminated, HaHa

And I can put the screen different places in the box. No need to mount the screen directly on the card itself. Fixed magnet fastening on the card. Maybe I should put in the  Puke video to show up in the HOF panel?😆

Btw. Found Asus Rog Strix 4090 OC in another Norwegaian webshop. In stock. But more expensive than the 4090 HOF card😵

Not going to lie, I am a bit jealous. Congrats on the card. While we joke that since EVGA has left the GPU industry, no one else can measure up, the HOF cards are the only ones that went head to head with the KP cards.

I can't wait to see what you can do with it.

The key to being extraordinary will be in unlocked voltage. Hopefully, Galax hasn't surrendered to the Green Goblin in that regard. Build quality aside, that has been the only reason the Kingpin and HOF GPUs have been able to shine. Without the voltage control they're just an extremely overbuilt GeFarts GPU that has been emasculated like the belly-button gamerboy variety.
