just the 3dmark average for 4090..not an actual factual number just an average. either way they are both great cards

Highest score: 42803
Average score: 30480
Your best score: N/A

Try compare graphics scores. Cpu doesn't add much into the scores for 3DMark Suite

https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/41777052/spy/44793723

And TS isn't 4K. The lower resolution the lower advantage you get with the higher tier cards.

https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/45773266/spy/43671620

Etc Path tracing in 4K is 4090 task. Not for the lower end SKUs.

I*m 100% sure he talk about 3DM Time Spy graphics score. Remember bro @ryan have been very hunged up in that bench. No other bench scores match +-30.000 points for (graphics).

With ECC cripple mode enabled 41.6K graphics score. Add another 3-4K with ECC cripple disabled.

With more cuda cores you get slight diminishing returns for gaming and benchmarks. Nothing is put in stone as black and white. And the Cpu is normal the bottleneck for the flagship cards. We need faster CPUs. Want the best card for 4K and all the bling and lights you'll need 4090 or above. Not below. Not that 4080 Super isn't e good card but 4090 is a tier above. Both in price and performance. Etc 10% more cuda cores doesn't always mean 10% more performance.

Yes, 4080S is an excellent GPU. It's not a 4090, nor is it a 7900XTX or 4070 Ti. If it were then nobody would have any reason whatsoever to buy a 4090.

It's also very consistent. Ran this heavy ray tracing benchmark on Apex and Apex Encore with stock GPU and results are the same within a margin of error. I did not bother checking to see if they are using the same driver. (And, no, I don't care, LOL.) The point is, you can count on consistent performance.

41k?

jesus i laughed a little, thats crazy had no idea the 4090 was such a beast never really looked as I can't afford one. 25 percent faster then? still I'd kill for a 4080 super and kill twice for a 4090. btw your getting 200 with very high at 1440p, I cant even get 30fps, honestly I see alot of comments on youtube where people wish they had a 4090 because I think its safe to say the card will be good for 5 plus years.

Yup enjoy the 4090 consistency. Here's another but not so happy guy. But he play with Red fire.  See from 6:42🤪

Is dips the same as crashing bro @electrosoft? Or does AMD offer both features? So double win for the Red team?😀

Also Nvidia screw the customers.... At least you get it a lot cheaper than the dippy 7900XTX card from AMD - From 7:03 and yees... Nvidia used the remaing defective silicon hence they castrated the card.

What color do you get if you mix and match Red and Green? Brown like this mess from the little Thief? One thing for sure, I wouldn't dip into that. Neither would I dip into AMD😁

It runs just strangely cool for an air cooled GPU.

But yes the GPU seems really amazing! The memory seems very similar to my prior 4080 Super and like most others I think.

+1350 memory is stable so far.

The core is really the most amazing so far though.

What kind of game was that he said he wanted to play? He really likes words that start with F and S. It's pretty sad that his vocabulary is so limited. He's going to pop a vein one of these days. I hope his breath doesn't smell as bad as the putrid stuff coming out of his mouth. That would be really disgusting. Most of what he is saying is accurate, but it's hard to respect him because he creates an image that makes himself seem so stupid.

If 4080 has it, you will find it in NVIDIA Control Panel. I do not know if it does or not. I am curious to know if it does or doesn't.

On 4090 it is disabled by default, but the dumb-dumbs at HWBOT require it to be enabled for 3DMark. (Not older 3DMarks like 3DMark 11 and Vantage, but the newer 3DMark suite of benchmark bloatware.)

A bit off topic, but I would like to share for others who might not know (unless I'm a one off scenario which would suck) but I purchased an MSI 274QPX monitor just now directly from MSI's website and noticed I wasn't taxed. If I knew this earlier, I would've tried buying a GPU from their website as even a non MSRP 4070S would have probably been cheaper than what I paid for mine if there wasn't any kind of sales tax! I don't know how this is possible, but it definitely made me and my wallet happy lol.

Good. Glad to hear it. I wish they had not included that option for 4090. It's stupid. Had they not included it, HWBOT would not have been able to make it mandatory for 3DMark submissions for 4090 owners. It impairs performance having it enabled.

Yes, I agree. I run my GPUs at firmware defaults except when benching. I am using the Galax HOF OC Labs 1000W vBIOS for both 4090s. The default core boost clock is like 2850 or so.

With the 4090 (and probably 4080, maybe even 4070 Ti) there is no real need to overclock the GPU to have a fantastic gaming experience.

Looks like the Green Goblin is forcing PCIe 6.0 and the new revision of 12VHPR on all 5000 cards, including the lowest tier junk that is still using 8-pin PCIe power connectors.

4090 consistency in gaming and Nvidia's overall better features/package can't be denied. The dip is real but unless you're a pro  or hardcore, it really is much ado about nothing depending on the games you play or want a locked refresh rate that's pushing the edge anyhow which for an esports gamer I can see being a must.

i already HAVE the 420 in A-RGB flavour 😉 but i swapped out the fans with black Noctua Industrial IPPC-3000 rpm fans in push/pull 🤣 that plus offset mounting, delidded with LM and custom TG IHS should negate any advantages the III has over the II haha.

I'll be sticking with my LF II 420 for now until a compelling reason presents itself to upgrade/change. The noise:performance is quite nice.

Have you done the delid and testing yet? (Maybe I missed it).

Good. Glad to hear it. I wish they had not included that option for 4090. It's stupid. Had they not included it, HWBOT would not have been able to make it mandatory for 3DMark submissions for 4090 owners. It impairs performance having it enabled.

The good thing is you can bench with it off for personal benching. The bad thing is you can't submit them for inclusion on the bot. They should really do away with it seeing as all lower tier cards don't have it.

On the stock vBIOS and AIO I hit ~2820-2835 out of box and with a standard OC, I game and bench at 3120+. Memory does +1600 solid or +1700 for benching on my MSI Suprim Liquid X 4090.

Use whatever cheap DDR5 ram you have with 4K and 4080 Super priced cards. Maybe people/gamers can offset the 4080 Super prices going with cheap ram?😬

The fun part bro @Mr. Fox Old games take more advantage of the faster DDR5 sticks. At least in the sample from Jayz.

In short... You can probably offset some of the disgusting Asus price premium, going with whatever cheap DDR5 ram you can get. Who said Asus 4080 Super flagship graphics cards was overpriced? HaHa.

And isn't it weird that the reviewers don't bother reply when you call out their partners producing trash? Are they afraid for talking about their partners products in not a good lights / "in not a good way"? Will their profits sink or get less review units from partners? Whats the goal with reviews? Ads for their partners or help consumers buy the best products?
