Well, there is a problem with my laptop's Bluetooth, and whatever I do, it won't install.
I would be grateful to friends who have a solution to guide me.
In addition, I downloaded several files, which gave an error message during the first stages of installation, saying that this file is not compatible with your operating system.

 

My laptop model and operating system type are as follows:

^^^ Hello, basics, with any old machinery it's pure chance if some recent OS works or not. Even if LTSC is lighter than regular windows, there will be no miracle with a weak processor, too little ram, lack of drivers, a hd.

If for some reason determined to use ltsc, try the earlier 2019, or LTSB 2016, "could maybe perhaps" make a difference. Or get some regular win 10, if your driver \ program problems goes away then that's the os you should use, if still problems get a newer laptop :O)

And yes, some apps \ programs may not like LTSC, that's the way it is. After one got os \ pc completely up and going, it'll be a matter of testing one's programs. Most will work, a few may not.

My quite recent Dell Precision copes very well, ltsc 2019 for 2,5 years. For fun and experiments I put ltsc 2019 on an old HP desktop and a Lenovo T61.
HP (I5 'real' processor, 8 GB ram, SSD) works very well.
T61 (by some luck got wifi \ bluetooth \ graphics \ everything needed working) sloooow even with a ssd, extreme heat under load. Close to useless in every aspect, just fun to see it's still working at all :O)

I am hoping someone can help me, but I installed W10 LTSC 2021 on my new device, and when I was trying to sign in, it wouldnt let me sign in via my normal email that I sign into normal windows with, I think it was wanting a corporate email or something official looking as I dont remember its exact wording, so I just installed with a local offline account. Forgive my ignorance on this matter, but how do I diagnose this?  Among other things, it was not accepting my LTSC key, which I am not sure what to make of it as the key seller has worked quite well for me a number of times in the past. Is there some way to tell if my key is wrong, or if I just screwed up the installation? I did the ISO via rufus and selected the "no telemetry" option for it. What am I missing?

 

Update: Okay, after some digging, it seems that aftermarket "Grey" keys only work on 3rd party ISO LTSC installation methods, rather then just using a key from an installation of official MS evaluation upgrade as is typical with W10 pro/home, etc. Can anyone recommend a good 3rd party iso for this since I cannot get a non-evaluation iso from microsoft? or what do your recommend?

^^^ LTSC, I'd like to help but can be out of the normal scope of this forum + my recommendations may not be right for anyone else.

Google for a while, be awake and realistic, everything can be found.
 
iso, dig around here and see if anything fits the bill. Saw a 2021 iot. https://opendirectory.luzea.de/

edit: that immense repository (iso's from pre-xp up to 11, all languages) offline, perhaps moved to new address.

Pretty sure you can't use a non-eval key with eval media at all.  Doesn't matter where you get the key from.

ltsc 2019 (1809) got KB5034127. btw no WinRE recovery partition om my system. As always, no issues, no new features.

Microsoft use you as their unpaid guinea pig. See the whole video and you can clearly see why you shouldn't update your Windows before after minimum 1 week after the patch is released.

Microsoft prefer consistency on how their OS works so it doesn't matter if you go for Win 10 or 11.

how often do microsoft updatest kernel. i mean i have never heard of microsoft kernel. but on android and i assume linux they do lots of updates.

Probably when they are forced to do so. They pushed out old hardware from Win 11 du  they said security was their main priority and goal. Everything coming from Redmond HQ is just lies.

Windows has a "kernel" just like Linux does.  It is found at "C:\Windows\System32\ntoskrnl.exe" (which you can inspect for the build date & version number) and is reported as the "System" task in Task Manager.  It is updated as part of the monthly patching process when needed.

Hi everyone, I am just curious, has anyone successfully used windows driver verifier with LTSC? I was reading up on it and from the looks of it, it can potentially crash and lock one out of their PC, if not brick the thing, which kind of makes me a little leary of using it. Still, the thought of getting out some deep bugs or finding issues that are related to that is appealing, since its almost never used and not often known even. really, I am just trying to figure out how to make this thing as stable and well performing as I can. So whether its this, or maybe some debugger, I am open to what you have to say. Now, someone told me lately that when it comes to Chipset drivers, you want to touch those as little as possible. Granted I can get that, but being the nvidia guy I am, driver updates and bugs are common place and often times just a crap shot. Take here for instance these AMD chipset drivers which I use, they release a new one as often as every 3 months, so what might that tell you? Just click previous drives for instance here. AMD Ryzen™ and Athlon™ Mobile (Chipset) Drivers & Support | AMD I dont know why AMD updates so often, while for intel its every year or more.

• You should only run Driver Verifier on computers that you are using for testing and debugging.

Quite clear :O) I'd never venture into this unless very serious, very specific reasons.
Surely useful in corporation setups with maybe 100's of machines before deploying any mass updates, 1st the period of hard-testing on dedicated, friable pc's.

Am trusting the manufacturer (Dell in this case) provided drivers (for Dell, Intel, Nvidia), updating a while after they become available. Giving them some real-world test time before committing (like another version comes 5 days after the initial release), maybe with a little reading in manufacturer's support forums, any reports of unexpected behavior.

I've got the IoT 2021 iso image, with setup that accepts the IoT key I have. To be honest, the main reason behind it is a rock solid removal of ReFS options from W10Pro, which I do depend on (plus the IoT license was 11$, pro for workstation with secure payment is 25$ and more). However, upon non-fresh install the first option is greyed out and I'm left with files only / fresh install options.

 

Will it really get rid of all my (pretty large and intricate) library of apps?

P.S. Apparently it has forgotten VersionID being changed to EnterpriseS. I changed it back and it can maintain apps as well.
