Win11 LTSC 2024 (both non-iot & IOT) is available thru MVS (MS visual studio subscriptions) likely late afternoon Oct. 1st

Yeah, I guess it wasn't clear in my post.  It was previously unavailable through MSVS (despite being available to OEMs), but it became available through MSVS on October 1 (...I was downloading images from there at the same time that I made my post...), as well as through business volume license systems.

I've been using it in an ARM VM on my Mac for a few months with no issues.  Haven't upgraded any bare metal systems yet and probably will give it a good six months to shake out any issues.  (I just saw this about an undeletable upgrade cache that you might get...)

Here's about a similar kind of supplier, been in the business for a very long time. What I got from them worked fine for me. Large selection of their pricelist in the article.

The greedy bastards.... But I won't pay to play with the better and older OS. Microsoft can't force me to use Win 11. And they won't get a dime from me for using Win 10. Losers!

Want to keep getting Windows 10 updates? It'll cost you $30

Microsoft confirms that consumers can remain on Windows 10 past the October 2025 end-of-support expiration date with an extra $30 fee

Still... Microsoft rather prefer that you use their latest and greatest. Even if you are on old hardware (Just buy new HW).

Microsoft seems to not like it anymore it you want to download Windows 10, even if you do it from an official source.

I too don't have to pay M$ at all if running recent LTSC editions of Win10
currently running Win10 IoT LTSC 2021 21H2 which get updates until Jan. 2032

They're taking advantage of most people who wants to stick with Windows 10. Currently its at 61% of the OS marketshare while Windows 11 is at 35%. They want people to buy new hardware because of the TPM 2.0 requirement but you can bypass it with rufus to install Windows 11 on unsupported PCs. Inb4 Microsoft patches it lol.

Windows 10 gets full-screen ads that say buy a new PC already

Microsoft continues to insist that you move to Windows 11, this time by telling you to buy a Surface Laptop.

Ready to buy an Surface-Joke to please Microsoft? @Mr. Fox @ryan +++ This is the last reason I would follow if I would change to a worse OS.

To my knowledge, this is not occurring on LTSC setups.

Nope. But you never know with Microsoft. LTSC builds is mostly used by corps. Not so sure Microsoft want to trigger their harm/anger 🙂

Btw. Also this time you can see Win 11 users got their love from Redmond... Why upgrade to a newer and more buggy OS?
