Gotta digest (no time right now) and see if I can find an install image through Visual Studio.  Looks like they are supporting ARM64 as well.

  • Aaron44126 changed the title to About Windows LTSC (Windows 10/11 Enterprise LTSC)

Installed the ARM64 version of Windows 11 LTSC in a VM on my Mac. No problem “upgrading” from “regular” Win11 using the method described in the OP.

In other words, the only way to get an acceptable version of Windows is to find an ISO that consumers are not supposed to have access to and use that instead of the mainstream trash. This shows us how little respect they have for ordinary people. We already knew that, but it shows us again as a reminder.

Just now, Mr. Fox said:

Newer is seldom better. And, some things never change. Windows 11 LTSC will be a slightly better version of a product that is worse than the one before it.

Yep. I didn't expect many consumers wanted pay for this idocy.

“We are continuing to evaluate our strategy for consumer Copilot extensibility and are prioritizing core product experiences, while remaining committed to developer opportunities,” Microsoft said. “To this end, we are shifting our focus on GPTs to Commercial and Enterprise scenarios and are stopping GPT efforts in consumer Copilot.”

Microsoft’s decision, however, undercuts one of the only reasons to subscribe to Microsoft Copilot Pro, a $20/mo subscription for consumers that Microsoft announced in January. Copilot Pro offered three benefits above the basic Copilot offering: priority access to new LLMs; Copilot in Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote), and the Custom GPT Builder. Now, only the first two remain.

Microsoft is killing a huge AI feature in Copilot Pro You will miss it bro @Mr. Fox?😁

If people trust Microsoft they are idiots. And if they trust any tech company they are equal idiots as well. @Mr. Fox Enjoy. A very good article.

While I’m talking about Microsoft here, the reality is that many people don’t trust tech companies in general. That's spot on. And not a understatement. You can't have trust in greed and stupidity.

Very true. Also very accurate that it is a problem that reflects the industry as a whole. Not just the Redmond Mafia.

💯 you can't and shouldn't trust any tech company to do the right thing(s) for the people that purchase and/or use their products. The only thing you can trust about them is that they will do what is best for them, even when it makes their products and services less desirable, and even when it is harmful to the users of those products. They are self-absorbed scum that feel a sense of entitlement and prey on the stupidity of consumers.

Unfortunately, I think they lack the ability to discern the difference between good and bad. Those sad creatures have only known rubbish and most have been brainwashed to the point of becoming perma-stupid. It affects all areas of life. Tech is just the tip of their feces iceberg.

For those that don't run any of the Win 10 LTSC versions. Great that we still have some options bro @Mr. Fox

Windows 10 will get five years of additional support thanks to 0patch neowin.com

And I'm 100% sure they thinking the same for all your data they grabbed from "your PC" and "your M$ cloud account". Microsoft are pure thieves.

Mustafa Suleyman, the recently named CEO of Microsoft AI, stated during the recent Aspen Ideas Festival that nearly everything on the web can be freely used by companies to train AI models.

Public opinion is turning against AI on certain topics. Some people have been dubious about the practical benefits of all the power and money spent on developing and operating AI for some time, but recently, leadership at multiple companies has gone completely "mask off" with regard to how they feel about the impact...

Windows 11 is a must nowadays. Can't be better than this.

Windows 11 strikes again with annoying pop-up that can't be disabled

It's enough that we have to deal with Microsoft's pop-ups. But when they can't be turned off? That's just unacceptable.

It is that time of the year again when Microsoft has begun installing the KB5001716 update and this time it is for both Windows 10 as well as 11 systems. The update is meant to be good for your PC.

Valve has published the latest results of its monthly Software & Hardware Survey. According to the findings, Windows 11's market share dropped a bit in July 2024, going below the 46% mark.

Steam Survey July 2024 Update: Windows 10 Usage Records Uptick, Windows 11 Drops

Techpowerup.com | Yesterday
Interesting things are happening in the gaming community, as Windows 10 operating system has seen an increase in its user base on the Steam platform, while Windows 11 has dipped below the 46% mark for the first time since its launch. According to the latest July data from Steam's hardware and software survey, Windows 10's share rose to 47.69%, marking a significant uptick that contrasts with Windows 11's decline to 45.73%. This trend highlights a growing preference among gamers for the older operating system, which is often praised for its stability and compatibility with a wide range of games and hardware. Many users have expressed concerns over Windows 11's performance and its stringent hardware requirements, which have made it less accessible for some gamers, especially those without the TPM 2.0-enhanced system.

The shift in user demographics is particularly interesting given that Windows 11 was designed with gaming enhancements in mind, including features like DirectStorage and Auto HDR. However, the adoption rate appears to be hampered by issues related to compatibility and performance, leading many gamers to stick with the more familiar and reliable Windows 10. This trend could prompt Microsoft to reevaluate its approach to Windows 11, particularly in terms of addressing user concerns and enhancing compatibility with existing hardware. Other OSes are seeing stagnation, especially with Linux-based distributions recording zero change. Apple's OSX stands at 1.37%, a +0.06% increase from last month.

09 update done a while ago, all perfect as always.

Edit: ...and after all these years, still zero wish, reason or need to try any of the newer ltsc's. And of course even less than zero wish for win 11.
