I'm really not sure. The sales guy couldn't speak english and my limited Japanese doesn't include words like Asymmetrical bandwidth. It comes bundled with my mobile phone and wifi router and its pretty cheap compared to back in Australia 2 Thunderchild // Lenovo Legion Y740 17" i7-9750H rtx2080maxQ win10 RainBird // Alienware 17 (Ranger) i7-4910mq gtx860m win10LTSC

6730b
Hotspot 5g mobile, travelling, currently in Norway, French roaming sim. So a 'far away' + "all the way back" test. And 'only' 66 ping, which is of no concern. Lots more than needed, and the evolution from not that long ago!, was more like 30\5. 2 Dell Precision 5540 w10 ltsc 2019 + O&O shutup, Dell E7440 w8.1, Tosh w8.1, HP i5 desktop w10 ltsc + O&O shutup Stand with
meowpressreturn
Quick & dirty test using the one in Google gives me this for my WIFI. The connection is 1gbps fibre so should be a lot faster but the router is getting old, its pre-pandemic hardware so at least 5 or 6 years old now, and there's a couple of walls in the way. Not sure why the asymmetry, think its not always like that. I've actually got a newer router or two still sitting unboxed on the shelf and I'm too lazy to go set it up.
Eban
Just a weird thing. This is on my AW17 with original Broadcom 802 wifi adapter. When I change from 5G to 2G I get a much better result (same server) (I also noted at some point windows had decided to reinstall IPv6 and QOS crap (I normally jettison them)) 2 Thunderchild // Lenovo Legion Y740 17" i7-9750H rtx2080maxQ win10 RainBird // Alienware 17 (Ranger) i7-4910mq gtx860m win10LTSC
ryan
I managed to get 1500mbs download and 160 upload but I can't connect to the 6ghz network anymore. 700-900 it is. I can live with that its still extremely fast 1 ZEUS-COMING SOON Omen 16 2021 Zenbook 14 oled Vivobook 15x oled
meowpressreturn
Ran the same test again just now (no laptop location or hardware or config changes) and got 364 down and 179mbps up this time (vs 273/143). So quite some variability there.
