cathoderayfish Posted Friday at 09:02 PM Posted Friday at 09:02 PM Hello, I picked up an old p775dm3 to be my daily-driver mobile workstation a while back. I have been doing some upgrades, maintenance, and mods and got to the point where I need to ask some questions about vbios power limits and things, seemed like this place is where discussions of that sort occur, so I made an account. Looking forward to being here and continuing my upgrade adventures.

As you are aware newer laptops are not so modular with upgradeable components. Although some of us are into retro No true DTR for some time now Thunderchild // Lenovo Legion Y740 17" i7-9750H rtx2080maxQ win10LTSC RainBird // Alienware 17 (Ranger) i7-4910mq gtx860m win8.1 JunkDog // Desktop Asrock 660M i3-12100F ARC A580 win10LTSC

Although some of us are into retro No true DTR for some time now That's sad, I would have thought people would still be interested in bios mods and stuff even for the newer less-upgradable laptops I still find the p775dm3 to be pretty usable for modern stuff Mine now has a 9th gen CPU and 20 series GPU, sounds like it could be brought up so far as 40 series at least Perhaps Framework and the open standard for their PCIe bay will bring back some kind of modding. Would be cool if Framework went about making a DTR
