I know Eurocom is represented as "upgradeyourlaptop" in ebay and they have a RTX 2070 for sale at around 715€ (VAT and taxes included).
Which sites do you guys recommend to purchase a new GPU since my 1080 is pretty much dead (artifacting and crashing)
Is https://clevo-computer.com a safe site?

Edit: I have dsanke BIOS flashed in my P775DM3-G with a 8700k

They're not affiliated with Clevo in any, way, shape or form but a reseller instead; I do remember them being a persistent presence on the old NBR forums with no bad rep.

Hopefully we can get some company reps to join these forums as they continue to grow for some direct representation.

You might be able to make an offer to Eurocom for one of their 2070 or 2080 cards. Since you're running a Dsanke'd P775DM3-G that should work with a potentially needed vbios flash from the old thread.

$662USD for a 2070 and they are open to offers:

Glad to know that they are reliable. At least I found a page with huge feedback on them and it seems it is very positive.

I might ask them to update the vBios themselves since I don't have the resources to do it on my own but afaik I believe the RTX2070 doesn't require a vBios to work in P775DM3-G modded with dsanke bios (might be wrong)

Ordered a RTX 2070 from Eurocom (they are known as "upgrademylaptop" on ebay)

The shipping date says May 19th,so once i receive it and test it I'll post feedback here. Right now my GTX 1080 must have a vram chip burned because it crashes if I launch a game right away. On windows I'm able to use it but if I push for it, loads of artifacts

My current P177SMA is from Eurocom. It took them 2 months to ship it, despite initially giving me a 3 week shipping time. But other than that, they were ok and helpful.

It seems to be equal to me.

You mean the layout or the actual connector? Cause if it is the connector it is the same even in newer models I believe, the layout the pcb can differ, then I'll be forced to purchase a new heatsink from them but they said it would fit perfectly and without issues so I doubt it

IIRC, You will need to potentially dremel down a small section of the original heatsink to make it fit properly. Maybe 1" to 1.5" section but I do know Eurocom offers a compatible heatsink to match their GPU upgrades. Are you getting your heatsink from them too?

ah, good ol' dremel...reminds me of the time when i dremeled together a complete heatsink for a 960M out of thin copper metal sheets interconnected with thermal paste and thermal pads used for 3D standoffs to lie flush with the card 😂 it actually worked! that was way back on an Asus C90S...good old days haha

One thing I will give Eurocom credit for is they do continue to offer complete GPU upgrades when they are available including everything you need from the proper BIOS to the screws, heatsink, thermal pads and of course the card itself.

They were very atrentioncious regarding me as a client. I sent a message and not even 6 hours later had a reply answering all my questions and they made sure I was buying a product I could use in my P775DM3-G and even asked I had a modded bios for it else they could provide one or even flash it remotely themselves. Pretty cool service

yep, although eurocom is surely not the most price competitive out there, they definitely carved out a niche for themselves in terms of providing quick n easy upgrade packages for DTR laptops (mostly Clevo). that lets them stand out from the crowd for sure, so they want to be certain they provide the service that goes with it to not lose their (finicky, but enthusiast) customer crowd 😛

I've been following them for a long time and I always make sure the buyer I'm purchasing from is reliable and I do search for info for long time before I end up with a seller. Eurocom Info came from NBR still so I thank you guys for being here after NBR was shutdown.

The shipping info hasn't changed since 13th of May. We'll see today (Monday 16) how it goes. We'll see. I'll let you guys know how everything goes and once I get the package I will take photos of the unboxing and show it here 🙂

And today it finally arrived to me in Europe but I had to pay customs a huge price for it to arrive at my door due to. Importation rules of the government. Anyway this is past and I wanna show you guys that Eurocom is truly an awesome store and very reliable to purchase from

Look at this beautiful packaging work that they did with:

RTX 2070 from a Clevo X170KM-G,

Heatsink from the P775tm1-G for rtx gpu's, kryonaut thermal paste tube, thermal pads for the gpu, screws for the heatsink and a power cable to connect the gpu to the motherboard of my P775DM3-G!

They sure outdone themselves!

If you guys have any doubts on a reliable seller and store to buy parts from? Dont have'em anymore!

Bought the GPU for 800 CAD plus 77 of shipping costs and i had to pay 192,15€ to clear it from customs! Yep you read that right... it did hurt my wallet a lot lol

Anyway here it is working flawlessly with dsanke bios from P775TM1 in my P775DM3-G!

All i had to do was repaste the laptop and the heatsink is great too! Good as new!

The money spent was totally worth it
