Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware

@alvarock85 Right quickly made a patch up on the files.

 

- Download the attached file

- Extract to c:\Audio\9492.1\ (overwrite the files)

- Run Launch.exe

- Select Full Install APO3

If this works let me know and i will add the edits to the main ID list files.

Can you make sure the device ID in the APO3/Extension is there just incase I forgot.

 

Also to clarify that its only Nahimic thats not working ? Can you do a screenshot of the Device Manager Under Software Components section please.

that Nahimic APO4 SWC driver has A-volute extension driver 1.5.14.0 (nearly forgot to mention that last time)

 

another Nahimic APO4 SWC v4.9.10.0 driver is available from MSI but has slightly newer A-volute extension driver which is 1.5.15.0 (released end of May 2023) instead of 1.5.14.0

I take it there is no additions to APO3 at all just the UAD and APO4

***Don't panic if the new Laptops/Systems are not in the list they will be supported they are more likely supported, install the drivers and if it works let me know your Model Number and it will get added to the list.***

 

Install instructions:

- Disconnect from the internet. (Not Required, so very Optional)

- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.

- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!

- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software (Some Anti-Virus tools might false report and delete the file!).

- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe Installer

- Select either Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Full Uninstall or Downgrade Nahimic 3.

- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!

- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!

- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection. (Only if you disconnected from the internet)

 

***[IMPORTANT]****
As i no longer have a MSI Laptop can users please report any and all issues to this forum thread so i can rectify them quickly.

 

Known possible bugs and fixes:

Issue: Two Nahimic Mirroring device show up in Device Manager:
Solution: run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Uninstall first before using Full Install.

 

Issue: Nahimic 3 updated via Windows 10 Store and no longer works.
Solution: Head into Windows 10's Store and Select the 3 Dots, followed by Settings and turn of Windows Store's Auto Application Updates,
then run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Downgrade Nahimic.

 

Issue: Ran Nahimic 3 Downgrade option however Nahimic 3 1.8.9.0 UWP effects are not working or its reporting the device is not upto date.
Solution: Simply run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe select Uninstall and then after its completed the Uninstall re-run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Full Install APO3 or APO4.

 

Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.

 

Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.

 

Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot the system. Then run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Full Uninstall, after it has rebooted your system re-run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Full Install.

 

Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Full Uninstall, after it has rebooted your system re-run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Full Install APO3 or APO4.

 

Issue: Sound has become muffled/suppressed/distorted.
Solution: Run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Full Uninstall, after it has rebooted your system re-run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Full Install APO3 or APO4.

 

Issue: I don't want the Nahimic 3 Bloatware!
Solution: Run Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.9514.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe and select Install Without Nahimic

almost 2 months later, looks like MSI finally released a new realtek audio driver - 6.0.9524.1 (for newly released Alpha 17 C7V laptops)

 

same Nahimic APO4 4.9.10 driver but new extension driver 1.5.16.0 - also for Alpha 17 C7V

 

also, this manufacturer (not related to MSI) has a Nahimic 1.9.19.0 UWP app in its driver + utility package (MS store version still has 1.9.17.0 of the Nahimic uwp app but later came a 1.9.20 version available either around end of July or in early August)

no need to release a new version right away until you are fully ready & have resolved all matters outside the computing world.

 

I'm dealing with my own personal & family matters as well (though I won't disclose mine here)

-though most of my own issues have been dealt with (aka. resolved)

 

anyways, I don't see MSI releasing any new audio drivers for a while since the 6.0.9553.1 version from last week.

looks like I was mistaken about this, so I take this back

 

I've just learned that there was a 6.0.9567.1 driver issued thru MSI Live Update (for few select motherboard users w/ recent board models and running the latest MSI Live Update app) and this one is only exclusively available there and not on the main MSI web site, which still has the 6.0.9553.1 version [and the 9553 version would be overwritten by the 9567 version issued by MSI Live Update if that app is used to download & install that version].

@epguy3Thanks bud, just got free 10 minutes before hitting the grind again. As soon as its less hectic i will make a new package. In fact i am in hospital myself on 29th for an operation and have holidays books for 2nd-6th Oct (recovery) so might be able to squeeze a release then.

I didn't get a chance to mention this earlier cuz of my busy schedule but the 6.0.9567.1 MSI Realtek UAD/DCH driver that was once available only thru the MSI Live Update site was made available on the main MSI download site around end of September {new link to 9567 driver is a slightly different package since it was released for some newly released MSI laptops but same version}

 

other than that, nothing new from MSI

and Realtek Audio Console UWP v1.47.310.0 and Nahimic UWP v1.9.22.0 apps are available
