  1. You mean, the RTX 2000 Ada need 4g decode to work?
  2. how do you find and change the address of the SMBus temp sensor?
  3. i saw this another alternative, NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada lovelace from PCP. i dont know if they sell for personal use. but this card is the same as the rtx 4060
  4. 8 bit checksum of the entire vbios, i modified a new one with 32 and 8bit checksum identical as original and OMGVflash give me a error of EEPROM
  5. a good future option (if you can and you think is useful) is to add a option to modify subsystem ID and vendor in the header. this is useful to make non OEM MXM cards being recognized by drivers and skip NVCLEANSTALL/INF mod. i already tested it modifying monually the VBIOS and putting a MSI subsystem and vendor ID in the VBIOS of my Aetina GTX 1060 made the drivers recognize it.
  6. and a good point, the lastest version of your program @JadeRover fix both checksums succesfully by changing the TDP. nice advance since Pascal TDP tweaker have the header bug and fix bad the checksum
  7. OMGVflash work to flash a modified bios in Pascal? i am trying to flash a custom vbios i made, both 32 and 8 bit checksums are identical as original and it gives me a EEPROM fail.
  8. as a reference, the fan issue isnt a problem like "the card is too new and isnt compatible", for example, i hear people with older GPUs in this models having issues like yours or, having no video on some video outputs (but because lanes dont matches). It depends entirely on how the card manufacturer configures it. My Aetina GTX 1060 has almost perfect compatibility with the GT60. but another GTX 1060 from another manufacturers not.
  9. being honest. i dont trust at all on x-vsion. and i wait to make that card working in this amazing system. as i mean, fan issue is fixable by EC reverse engineering. or the best way is to replace the Temperature sensor in the GPU to make it replying the SMBus requests. but my main headache is the HDMI/DP one. because physical lanes matches. from my analisys, the EC is holding the "hot plug" signal since it doesnt recognize the card
  10. for fan issue, i am 99,99% sure exist a solution. my main worry are the display outputs.
  11. i upload this sample made in my GT60 system, if anyone like to try. make use of this register with care because i dont know at 100% secondary effects, i make use of it in my GT60 2OC without problems but in my system conditions, effects may vary between MSI models and submodels of the GT60/GT70
  12. i discovered all because i like to make the jump to a RTX 4060 or 4070. but really i cant allow me to waste money since its difficult to make a few USD in my country so i need to be sure to have a stable working GPU. the GT60 its my main system today. i have boardviews and schematic for it to make any type of modification (taking care of no making wrong things). just the troubles you mention i cant allow them since i use external displays and its bad to get the cooler at 100%
  13. if you like to just download RWEverything and with the RTX 4060 connected, check what value you have in the register 0x80 (gpu temp), if you get a value like FF in that register is that who is making the fan go to 100%.
  14. and about the video output, probably exist a method to override the own hot plug detect coming from the EC and just making it go directly to the GPU (skiping any type of screen control of the touchbar)
