I like this! Reminds me of Cloudpunk.

This is just the main theme from the City of Ghosts DLC:

Yeah Ive been stuck on anything in the range of synthwave for quite a while. Mostly started as a means to listen to music to chill out at work without having to worry about lyrics rubbing someone the wrong way.

Nightwish, by the band Nightwish, from their demo album Nightwish (1996).

I've been appreciating the folk metal on their first full-length album (Angels Fall First, 1997) recently.  Their first demo is a fair amount less polished, but is in the same style.  Quite a difference from their heavier later music, although I like much of that as well.

Wow, very very cool. You're the first person I hear mentioning Nightwish in a very long time. I absolutely love them. I've seen them live 2 times. Once way back with Tarja in Romania and another concert with Anette, a few years later in Germany. I'd love to see them with Floor as well.

That first concert with Tarja was truly mindblowing. Left me speechless for a good while when it started. I'd rank it right at the top of all the live shows I've been to.

All sorts of cool memories came back now. At one point I was obsessed with Marco's beard and I tried so hard to get the two strands going but it didn't work out.

I wish I'd seen them when they were last in my part of the country.  I'm not much of a live music person, but Nightwish is the one band I'd really like to see live.

Angels Fall First was what I listened to while driving a few days ago; Century Child got a couple spins tonight; right now it's the very song you linked above, from Showtime, Storytime.  I tend to prefer the live albums to the studio ones, but whether Showtime, Storytime or End of an Era is my favorite... I can't really decide.

Now switching to From Wishes to Eternity.

Currently listening to The Best of Blondie, and this is the most interesting song from the compilation that I hadn't known previously.

Wow.  That was unexpected, but to be fair I don't know WHAT I was expecting.

That was my jam on shift last night.  I used to only buy music if it hits my 2-song radio rule:  I hear 2 songs from an album on the radio and like them, simple.  SSPU met the rule with Panic Switch and The Royal We, so I bought Swoon one day.  Still have it, still sounds good to me including this one.

Dick Hyman's rendition of Thelonious Monk's "Well, you needn't"

https://tidal.com/browse/track/66105870

And his rendition of Duke Ellington's "Tonk"

https://tidal.com/browse/track/66105855

I am no Jazz expert, but these things are absolutely delightful and certain to get anybody's circulation going.

They're both part of a massive 100+ tracks release of 5 CDs and a DVD titled "Century of Jazz Piano". Sound quality is fine, though nothing in particular.

Reference Recordings (one of my favorite labels for sound quality) has two Dick Hyman albums, playing Ellington and Fats Waller, respectively, which are quite entertaining as well. And fingerbusting, needless to say 😁
