I like to listen to this song after getting stronger, which I did today.

Although I'm never going to be strong enough to face Apollo Creed in a fight.

Seth Everman ruined this song for me. I can't listen to it without thinking about his take. It's genuinely hilarious.

Well gosh, I don't want the song to be ruined!  So I'm afraid I'm going to have to not listen to Seth Everman's version!

Ran across another oldie but very much goldie for me. Not sure how well known in the US he was but I'm curious if you guys know of Falco. Back in the 80s/90s he had a few very well known songs playing in Europe.

Jeanny and Out of The Dark are two main examples

Neither of these videos receive justice on crappy laptop or small desk speakers. If you have nice speakers with a subwoofer, use them for both. You're welcome.

Really appreciate this thread - a lot of fun to see what people are into!

Here's a twist - DYI approach acoustic/analog bass as a design problem.  Half the video is on the acoustic instrument design side and the rest is a nice demo of the resulting instrument.  I really like this guys approach to music:

Yeah, they are good. I used to listen to them too, and totally forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

Youtube finally gave up and fed me something new

I was checking out their stuff recently, and my favourite were these two:
https://macroblank.bandcamp.com/album/--18
https://macroblank.bandcamp.com/album/avalanche-lp

It's good to realise that their music isn't theirs in any way shape or form. They are essentially mix tapes / collections of old lounge classics. They have just modified them from their original with a little bit of final production touches such as changing the tempo slightly. In fairness, they openly state this:

i take no credit. everything is plundered.

and make everything free to download via Bandcamp and Mega. And they are nicely put together collections all the same. I just wish they would give proper credit as to what all the originals are, but can kind of understand why they don't in the world we live in. It is funny to see many of the younger generation comments on YouTube who think it's new and original 😂

Yeah I figured it was just a mix but I needed to switch of synthwave mixes for a bit :)
