What car are you driving now?

Thought of making a little corner for all the gearheads, driving fans, to hang out and talk cars. Every forum should have one of these 🙂

This time I won't start as I'm "between cars" at the moment. I just traded in my previous one a few weeks ago and waiting patiently for the new delivery which should be in about two months. I'll post more details along the way but for now I just wanted to get a ball rolling 🚗

2017 BMW M6 Gran Coupe.

My wife has a 2002 BMW 330Ci but recently got into an accident. We're waiting to see if insurance will fix or total. Already looking up cars, she wants a Porsche Taycan but that's a lot of $$$$ lol

I like her taste, lol. Is she set on EV? That's almost 911 territory and you could swipe it for your enjoyment from time to time 😁

Forgot I made a video on my car lol:

She's not into cars. All she told me was I want a Porsche in the future. I told her Taycan it is, it's an EV. She saw the frozen berry color and is set on it now lol. Originally I wanted her to get one with premium package and some other stuff (107k) but that's just an insane amount of $$$. We settled on just a few features at $83.7k which is much cheaper than the others. Of course this was supposed to be a car she gets in like 5 years. But with the accident she really really wants to fix the 330Ci even if we have to salvage it. I did tell her if we get a decent amount I can put a hefty down payment and we can just get the porsche now lol.

Here's her current car after the accident. I already talked to my BMW mechanic. It needs airbag, wheel, tire, corner turning light and strut tower mount. Of course insurance will probably find more things that "need" to fix and consider it totaled.

I drive an old 2006 Silverado 2500HD Duramax, lifted on 35's. She's got over 200k miles, but is still trucking along without issue. I've thought about selling it, but the new diesel truck prices are outrageous and it's nice not having a payment on it.

My wife drives an Explorer ST, they are a pretty fun family vehicle, all wheel drive and 400hp.

2011 Honda Fit.  I've never been into cars like computers, and it gets me from Point A to Point B very reliably.  80K miles, so if I keep up my long-term-average miles per year, it could last a long time.

Here's a picture of it training for being in a commercial someday:

Lots of nice cars in here! I am still chugging along in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe my late Grandpa gave me around 2015. 126,000 miles and very reliable!

Within the year I hope to scoop up my roommate's father's 2013 Subaru BRZ with ~60,000 miles. In the past I had a Toyota MR2 and a Nissan 300ZX and I really miss having a 'fun' manual car. I think the BRZ would do it for me.

I'd love to pick up another Subaru WRX STI since it was such a fun little car (I had a 2007 STI Limited that I regret selling).  My wife is next in line to get a new car though, thankfully she wants a CT5-V (sadly not the blackwing, lol), but that will be a fun car.  I often drive her 2013 Cadillac ATS with the 3.6, it's pretty fun and super comfortable. Ugh then I really want a Ford Bronco Raptor, lol...

Been driving our BMW G20 318i for exactly a year now. 11000 km on it so far. It's mostly city driving, so we average around 11.5 km/l.

I7wtgFL.png

Dream cars are the facelifted M5 Competition to smoke others at the traffic signals, and the Audi A8L to float in a cloud. I wouldn't buy them where I live, though; they'd cost half a million dollars after tax.

I traded my 2020 Acura ILX last year because it made 5 unscheduled service trips to the dealer in 11 months. My wife wanted a second SUV anyway so I got a 2020 GMC Terrain that I think the dealer wanted rid of because I got over $7500 off MSRP. It has a heated steering wheel, and now I will never buy another vehicle without one.

I'm not a huge petrol head as you could probably tell by my car it's just a cheap runabout which is super reliable and tbh i like it. I appreciate a nice car but i don't need one.

It's a 2010 Mazda 2 sport 1.5 petrol

I love that color. Mazdas are great. I had a 2014 Mazda 3 Hatchback. I miss it dearly, it was an awesome car.

I'm going to post my wife's Beetle. My new car should arrive only in April and I traded the previous one in already. We love this little bug, we've even been on cross country ski trips with it. It's a blast to drive and we love the color! It's a 2018, the year before the last ones ever made... Still sad they stopped making these.
