Also got the Corsair and a Fasgear cable to replace the ugly firehazard nvidia adapter.

 

The corsair looks nice and only requires 2 plugs for the 600w but the fasgear looks more maleabile to bend..

no worries, u got the card i was initially planning to get. basically no difference between the 4090 SKUs, except for warranty, noise, temps (limited) and design. performance-wise theres nothing separating them.

Finally got the new 7950X3D inside, also used a secure frame on the cpu socket. 😀

if you want to push your setup and see something pretty buy download sniper elite 5..omfg the game looks phenomenal. another game is actually a benchmark it puts even the 4090 down. its the benchmark enemies.

hey dude, just saw your updates here, hows the 7950X3D treating you? Hope it hasnt gone up in smoke with all that SOC OV crap 😅 also, can you recommend the thermalright secure frame? i am also eyeing it for easier thermal paste removal 😋

Hi bro, no problems whatsoever. Also the 7900x before didnt have any damage and it ran with EXPO for months, MSI board worked perfectly! 7950X3D is a beast in games, i am using Process Lasso to assign cores it works ton better as the windows gamebar+AMD drivers. No problem with games working on the cache CCDs. Procees Lasso is a great software. Just to be sure i am doing EXPO On and CPU Voltage of only 1.19V. Didnt do any PBO yet, didnt have the time for it 😄 and i am only playing D4 atm so no need to Overclock the CPU.

The Frame is great, so easy to install. Dont know if it did something for the Temps because didnt try the cpu without it. But for sure is good to keep the paste dirt away form the IHS. Also using the great Honeywell Pad on it to keep the temps in check.

haha using a thermal pad on the CPU, crazy times we live in 😄 

 

nah, the frame doesnt do much for temps, "maybe" 1 degree improvement, if not related to measurement error. its more for looks and/or easier thermal paste cleaning 😛

hahaha trust me, Hyperion is in use every day i can spare an hour or two. but my limited freetime also means i rather spend that time actually using it and not providing updates here 😛 

 

currently playing through the alan wake series after i completed Control (same game universe, actually). currently in the last third of Alan Wake`s American Nightmare before continuing with Alan Wake 2. Should be quite the challenge for my 4090 and definitely worth upgrading  to a 5090 (already compiling the budget for upgrading to Zen 5 and a 5090 this year haha).

 

Ive also started Ratchet & Clank: Rift apart and waiting  on Titan Quest 2, as well as the new Indiana Jones game, should be awesome!

 

Still havent come around to properly adjusting the stand-offs for my custom CPU IHS, but hoping to finally getting around to it in the coming days / 1-2 weeks. i definitely want it ready before Zen 5 drops 🙂 

 

and yes, ure right, it is god tier. that was the whole idea 😎

ahh man im so jealous, wish I had your setup. Also how is ratchet and clank I heard it looks amazing on oleds and mini led monitors/tvs. I might pick it up but im on the fence. I think it got a 9/10 rating from ign but haven't heard anything about fun factor.

heard lots of good things and for a jump n run shooter it looks pretty sweet maxed out. havent played it long enough yet tho for any definitive conclusion 🙂

just bought assetto and horizon zero dawn...30 quid in total. asseto looks good just waiting on horizon. ratchet and clank is on sale at cdkeys.com for 47 so I might pick that up..50 percent off
