  1. I did not immediately notice that the message is quite old, did you manage to fix the problem in the end and find a spare part or was it something else?
  2. I started using Windows XP and then Vista, after a long time I was just happy with Windows 7 and considered it extremely convenient, fast and functional, the early 10th versions also evoke pleasant feelings and became native. In general, it is actually quite frustrating to see where all this is going in the end and what path they have started to follow. Linux is really getting closer.
  3. I used Ubuntu about 10 years ago and was surprised that moving to it from Windows did not cause me any significant problems, it had a very convenient and pleasant user interface and immediately made me love it. In the future, I want to try something else such as Debian or Manjaro, in particular due to the increasingly heavy, limiting capabilities and overgrown with unnecessary functionality of Windows.
  4. @Clamibot Thank you for the detailed information, 225W without thermal throttling and in combined load is really something incredible, especially considering that this is a laptop. Of course, I understand that a lot definitely depends also on the specific successful processor chip unit and I am very glad that you managed to get it as well as your final current results of a frequency up to 5.3 GHz for all cores.
  5. This is a fairly long-released program, I used it earlier and was pleasantly surprised by the features and convenience, it's nice to see that it is still developing, I will definitely need to test a new version.
  6. @6730b very interesting, this article is definitely alarming and makes you seriously think about using stronger passwords for greater security, it has become more understandable why a huge number of services insist on it. With the use of modern and more performance technologies, the time required to brute force a password will decrease by a multiple.
  7. And I began to recall my wonderful memories while using Ubuntu in 2012, with such kind of changes, it is not surprising if Microsoft will soon lose some of its long-time users.
  8. They probably completely stopped listening to the opinion of the end user with all these latest innovations, an increasing number of a wide variety of banal bugs and some binding requirements of any kind. Once upon a time I used Ubuntu and was quite happy with it, I would not be surprised if with the increasing continuation of such "improvements", I will soon really have to reconsider my preferences regarding the main OS used.
  9. @Reciever Hello, in such cases, it is better to look for by the part number that is indicated on the block board, its may be suitable from other models, for example from U2715H, so you will have a better chance anyway.
  10. I have also used this player for quite a long time and I have very fond memories of it. It's nice to see that the developer has returned and it remains to wish him fruitful and pleasant work.
  11. @Bullit I saw some good mentions about it some time ago, it has extensive features and is free at the same time, you just have to try to check how it works and whether it meets your personal requirements.
  12. I can no longer remember why I initially decided to go this way, but I have never had problems with Opera browser and it remains the main and most convenient for me. Now I want to try to interact more with Chrome and Firefox and I think it might also be a good choice.

    FPS/Hz question

@Linux There is nothing funny about this, I have been using a 1080p display with a 60Hz frequency for a long time and it suited me perfectly for browsing and interacting with the system. I think you will definitely see an improvement from a 120+ Hz monitor, the movements of windows and other content on the screen will become smoother, this is what I noted in the first place. As for the resolution, it's probably depends more on the screen size and your requirements or preferences, so try to take a personal look at different models 1080p and above to choose the most comfortable for you.
  14. It's such an obvious problem or flaw in order to just see it, but Microsoft probably still thinks that the end user continues to be the best tester).
  15. It turns out that windows 11 still has probably more problems compared to version 10, although a lot of time has passed since the first release. I'm going to stay on the previous version for now to save my nerves.
  16. @runix18 Yes, I have already heard and know about the limitations associated with the lack of the necessary code part in the bios for the SM model. Unfortunately for the P870 everything is also going down the same road and it would be really nice to get the RTX 3-series GPUs working correctly as a result.
  17. Does anyone know if zTecpc also sold the x170km model with or without any modifications to the cooling system or something else? @Clamibot, what temperatures range do you have at 5.3 GHz at constant load?
  18. Did you manage to get the memory working correctly with 2x32GB configuration as a result ?
  19. @runix18 thank you, in this case, this card can probably work completely correctly only at x170km, I'm a little surprised that even a similar SM model has problems in this regard.
  20. @Maro97 probably this solution may really have some better temperatures in active water mode, but it must be borne in mind that definitely not everyone will do something like this on their own.
  21. I didn't think there was such a detailed description aimed at improving this cooling system used in these laptops. Your results at 5.3GHz across all cores really look promising. However, of course everyone really needs to be careful not to bend the cooling system and damage the gpu chip due to increased pressure.
  22. @Maro97 Hello, anyway thanks for sharing the solution to the problem with your GTX1070 hardware configuration, at least a lot of things have become clearer now.
  23. Can this display fully function with any RTX 3-series cards? And if the problem of the lack of boot logo is related to the bios of the video card, then what should I do in this case?
  24. On Aliexpress, I saw a special radiator for this laptop model that can be used for both water cooling and just air mode, but of course it's always nice to do something like this with your own hands and it deserves special respect.
