Yes, I don't know what happened most taptop oems are using soldered DRAM/Wi-Fi/SSD even on thinkpads with Raptor lake or Zen 4. Its a mess. -

Hey @DaMafiaGamer been a long time. Got busy with life and OC'ing isn't any fun with every OEM locking it out, I miss the days when i OC'ed the hell out of crap mid-range which was very enjoyable. Just waiting for right Phoenix Point APU currently most of them are vaporware in India unless I pay top dollars for soldered DRAM,WiFi, SSD model. -
Voltage seems to be okay but low and feels more like idle state. Is Intel MEI FW and BIOS up-to-date? LM will not magically bring the CPU temps down if the heatsink is warped/flawed. Also make sure Windows doesn't update your BIOS, more often it installs wrong EC and BIOS meant for older device id/model. Ideally disable BIOS upgrade from Wndows update in BIOS settings.

You can stop Superfetch Service to stop cached RAM issue.

Have you tried uninstalled Asus's thermal or power driver framework? I had 5875U Thinkpad that had worse thermals after swapping the paste with ICD Pad, in my investigation OEM allowed much higher voltage and TDP to push CPU and you will not see current limits or thermal limits until 100C. Blacklisted the said drivers in Group Policy and thermals dropped by 40C from 90-95C to 40C. Maxes around 65C in passive mode. Also Skip UXTU that makes performance worse than stock windows. Just use Windows 10/11 Power Slider. Optionally replace Asus's Radeon Driver for Nimez Driver if AMD iGPU is present as you can adjust if you prefer Performance from Discrete or use as APU to optimize power and performance.

You could install ISLC from wagnard which can remove standby RAM on schedule when there's no free memory. That's the idle RAM amount I've seen on W11 22H2 or whatever. W10 used to do 2GB. @Mr. Fox Just installed 3rd party optimized Amernime driver which enable Media Foundations, Noise Suppression and Windows Studio effects on Vega 8 Thinkpad. I opted to go Enterprise Skin rather than stock skin for Radeon since the laptop is used for somewhat ML/DL using MSFT's DirectML. Studio Effects was maintaining Eye Contact, blur background image segmentation was much better as it was able to figure out correct spaces between my fingers. Even enabled Record and Stream option which is absent on mobility drivers. Driver version is older but it performs much better and you don't get WHQL warnings.

Here I'm 24C-27C on avg after rainfall. In the night its cooler 20-22C and my AW BGA is very cool and quiet along with Pixel 7 reaching max temps 33C and min at 25C as opposed to 42C max and 33C min in summer at 40-45C ambient. -
Faced the same issue. Had to install the older **newer driver in fact** by running AMD Pro GPU setup utility.

OFC-> Optic Fibre Cable. For Daily usage upwards of 20Mbps barely sees a noticeable difference aside from longer download times on massive files like you said. I hope newer games use Fitgirl like compression

Is it possible to change 2FA app? (Google authenticator is not safe)
Vasudev replied to Linux's topic in Site Suggestions
If you're migrating from GAuth to MSAuth I'd suggest going with Aegis or Ente. Its better to export new ones to Cloud or local backup. MS Auth doesn't even export existing 2FA codes unlike GAuth. Unlike their marketing for MS Auth iOS and Android are not cross compatible since iOS uses iCloud so you can't sync from Outlook account in Android. -
Just upgraded from 4G to OFC 150Mbps from local provider. Paired the stock wifi with Deco M5 for better connectivity for every room.

@PapusanThis is my sis's new BGA. Still testing the TDP and optimizing it. Lenovo Power manager is broken and sets up too high TDP causing instant thermal throttling. Using UXTU to limit TDP to 18w-20w sustained PL0, 28w short burst PL1 and 25w for long burst PL2. Added Ryzen Power plan 1usmus Ryzen Power Saver Plan. https://hwbot.org/user/v56m/#mywall -

Just got a new laptop for my sister for university. Specs: CPU Ryzen Pro 5875U GPU Vega 11 RAM 16GB DDR4 SODIMM 3200MT/s SSD M.2 2242 Kioxia 1TB Display 14" Touch FHD Webcam FHD Hybrid IR Warranty 3Yr extended + 3 yr intl + keep your drive (all extra, standard is 1 yr warranty) W11 Pro and Office 2021 Pro Plus. Repasted with ICD HC Pad. Pros: Very powerful and quiet Portable and compact Good battery life Cons: Vantage, Power and battery driver, power manager, intelligent cooling driver are causing high thermals even after repaste and after adding block rules from gpedit the temps are below 80-90C in high ambient >30C. Insane TDP set by Lenovo for Windows Power slider almost pushes to 70W for 15w TDP CPU causing 100C instantly. More bloatware installed by Win 11 and lenovo. IR camera not working/detected as Windows Hello compatible. Stock Paste:

Wireless earbuds for iOS, Mac, and Windows?
Vasudev replied to saturnotaku's topic in Mobile Devices & Gadgets
Usually oneplus or nothing or google buds worked well with iOS,android and Windows PC. It worked nicely with iOS and Android. Windows 10/11 gets little mental when you're streaming HQ video when your router switches to 2.4GHz from 5GHz band. I had to reconnect it with Windows PCs(Dell,Lenovo and HP). I'm unsure about MBP since I don't have them. Anyway, my budget was half of yours so your mileage may vary since its almost high end audiophile. -
I don't think that discord channel is in use, it was called LiquidHz server or something. Its been years since I heard any updates from them and once NBR forums was taken down, I stopped using discord/tap-a-talk entirely. I believe iunlock and Deex were present in Steven's OwnOrDisown channel along with alexnvidia.

I have swapped out the stock SSD and RAM few years ago. Battery was a mess to replace and costed a lot. Dell has pulled the plug and Intel has EOL'd skylake CPU updates. Why not opt for Eluktronics with Prema mod since you're living in the USA or even framework laptop if you don't want DTR/gaming laptop. -

Will it affect your HoF galax 4090? Say a BIOS update that locks out max frequency to favor the new stepping/die changes? I hope this doesn't start a trend to buy the same model GPUs with more pricing due to better optimization/die stepping. -

Did have the same issue on my echo model. What was missing from nvidia driver was optimus profile and after that sudden powercut/blackscreen went away. Also, after spectre patches whenever laptop goes to sleep it never recovers. It happens on latest BIOS which disabled undervolt but also limited the max voltage CPU can use. But the sleep of death still persists and the echo model doesn't have Modern Standby. Anyway the CPU temps is same like undervolted one after I replaced the paste wth TG Carbonaut. I do not know of a gaming laptop i.e w/o compromise, there is no choice now. You go with 18" massive laptops with inflated model names that won't come near their desktop counterparts. Just got my sister a thinkpad L14 and it has upgradable SODIMMs, 2242 SSD PCIe4, Ryzen Pro 5875U and replaceable Wifi card. Had extended the warranty to 3Y. Only downside was 2242 SSD instead of 2280. It was a good compromise as opposed to LPDDR4/LPDDR5 soldered RAM, Soldered Wifi and 2280 SSD. -

I stopped using MSI AB and RTSS long time ago and switched to Nvidia Frameview(Dx10,11,12) and Amd OCAT(Vulkan and dx9). MSI AB developer barely listen and use readymade script to uninstall beta RTSS/MSI AB or even complete uninstall while I had completely clean installed windows w/o restoring profiles. -

I got turned off instantly. Felt more like a rage than a rant. @PapusanDo you think we'll see sub 400$ GPU from either GPU vendor? I think they make more money from BGA GPUs.
