  1. Superb work making this video, long but really worth watching it all ! "36 cars - 216 crashes"
  2. Was browsing newspapers + streaming some music, the main use for this old laptop, then suddenly out of the blue, blue screen ! Never ever happened before, the Dell E7440 with it's original w8.1 install has been in daily use for only 10,5 years. Totally inacceptable to endure such a problem so soon after purchase and with such a modern OS! Initially looked like some windows corruption, it rebooted into some kind of recovery, and asked for the full bitlocker key (which I could dig up from somewhere from some backup) but I chose to power down and try a restart. Nothing, no display, no bios access, not even beeps or blinking lights. The end I believed, motherboard failure. Anyway, opened up just to have a last view of it's inside, save whatever component etc, then thought maybe do the very basic last chance thing: had a look for anything obvious, removed one memory board, removed \ reseated other memory and drives. Pushed the on button. Miracle occured 27.07.2025 at 02:14:29: out of coma like nothing ever happened. Corrupt ram ? Bad connection ram or drive ? Or can just as well be the sign of some lingering, future serious fault. Needless to say, external hd + macrium reflect immediately in action. Still not the end ! Hoping my trusted old w8.1 + 7440 friend will do service for a while longer.
  3. July update done, see post above :O) And still 3.5 years of security updates left.

  13. A brand new powerfull stone crusher ! Still cleaning up the river along my mountain property, after a major rainfall\storm years ago, amassed tons of big rocks that needs to go to avoid the river changing it's bed and turning towards the house. Nice little hobby :O) Great to have such force in one's hands. And the price! Only 140 usd for 18 kilos of superb, solid, powerful metal & machinery. Really the most satisfying price vs useability\quality\results of anything ever paid for. Also good for building some muscles :O)
  14. Windhand - Eternal Return "Eternal Return is an infectious display of songcraft cloaked in alluring atmosphere, molten fuzz, eerie psychedelia and ethereal vocals. Equally informed by heavy, fuzzed-out psych along with the iconic grunge / alternative groups of the 90s, WINDHAND have crafted a record brilliant in scope, powerful in execution, and perfect for an era of increasingly blurry yet still heavy borders" ...is that all ? lol
  15. Aurora Borealis - The path to Atlas Atmospheric Post Rock (one man band, Belgium), some pretty great "highs" :O)
